      I have used watch with all functionality working and with some of the features being off means only operate when I manually wants it.
      And I have seen a huge difference.
      With full functionality it hardly last 15-18 hrs after full charge. But with some features being off and some adjustment the battery performance have increased upto 10 hrs more.
      So it lasted around 30-35 hrs for me(The battery still had 6%)

      @DHRME Go to settings, scroll down to about watch, software info, tap software version 7 times. Then back out to the main settings screen. All the way at the bottom under about watch, you'll see developer options. Click on it, then scroll down till you see window animation scale, transition animation scale, and animator duration scale. Click on all three of them and make sure it's set to off. The higher the number, the slower the watch will be, but the smoother the transitions will look. A lot of people like it, I don't. Plus, it saves a lot of battery.

    • @danielvanatta8884
      @danielvanatta8884 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just realized the "how" question was not intended for turning on developer options 🤣 also, racist is such a catch-all term now, it's like people don't even remember what it means anymore 🙄

    For info, according to some testing i've seen about multiple watches and how the Android OS works, having the Always on Display would actually be better for battery life compared to "Raise to wake", which wakes up the main CPU constantly. It could depend on how many times you check it during the day, of course. But Always on Display on an AMOLED display relly has a small impact on battery compared to the main CPU, some testing could be interesting.
    On my old Fossil Gen 4, Raise to Wake does indeed destroy the battery way more than having the AOD on and Raise to Wake off.

    Bought my Watch 5 two days ago.
    1] Battery life looks to be around one day. I have tweaked so many things... display, notifications, grayscale, turn off lte, sound and vibration, health features, gestures, etc.
    I've heard of three to five days.
    Will it get better?
    2] Notifications on watch - sound and vibration - are not consistent.
    Is it normal that it misses some?
    I'm just learning. Appreciate any help.

    The reality is the battery is really small. My Huawei GT3 Pro can have AOD on and still last for days at a time. The Watch 4 Classic needs to be charged at least once a day either way.
    If it weren't for the really crappy integration of the GT3 Pro's HarmonyOS with Play Store apps -- and the dearth of usable apps in Huawei's own ecosystem -- I'd use the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic less.

  • @bgos10

    If anyone's looking to buy the Galaxy Watch 4 series watch, I'll recommend getting the GW4 LTE (or classic LTE). It lasts me 1.5 days easily with everything on. Crosses 2 days+ if I disable AOD and automatic monitoring.
    It has a bigger battery than the Bluetooth only version and if you use it connected to the phone (like I do) you get advantage of the bigger battery.

    I just traded my 3 day old Samsung Refurbished Watch 4 Classic that was beautiful for the 5 Pro Titanium wifi vers.
    I need some battery life. My 2yr old Amazon Refurbished Samsung Gear S3 Frontier still last up to 2 days but it's old Tech & I'll use it as a back up.
    I think the 5 Pro will do me just fine. That Watch 4 Classic wouldn't last a single day & that's with everything off or on low settings, including heart rate monitoring.

    Cool tips. Many "options" on the watch are not options, they are "default" and many aren't needed on a daily basis: O2 sensor all the time? Unless you think you have cought COVID-19 (or have a cardiac, condition, etc). Stress sensor all the time? If your stressed all the time, better seek help right away (there specific moments when needed). Movement sensor all the time? Absurd, unless you "need" to move by a medical prescription or perhaps you are too lazy and "need" to change habits soon. If you have a busy lifestyle, my guess is that you move quite often. Too "many" reminders about our health is not healthy. Just change what you really need. My humble opinion.

    Great video guys, I really believe in black faces is better than white faces, I'm not woke, though I don't know what it means lol, but I'm surprised there're not more minimalistic black watch faces to save battery power, I do like minimal watch faces with minimal complications, wish there was more to choose from.

    There's a reason why you'd need to track blood oxygen levels during sleep: if you have apnea, or suspect that you have sleep apnea. I would strongly advise against turning this off just to save a few minutes of battery life.

    Thanks so much for the tips! It's stupid though how you have to turn off features that make the watch actually helpful in life.
    Yes I can turn on the features everytime I actually need them but it really limits the usability of the watch.
    For example I like keeping bixby listening so I can tell it to start a timer for example. Or auto detecting when I am walking the dog.
    I never had an issue with my Galaxy Watch 2 lasting 1.5 days and now I have to charge the 4 twice a day if I want to use it in the same way :/

    • @TonyPaulazzo
      @TonyPaulazzo ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just keep the Bixby thing on - like, I like the lift to wake and keep it turned on (but if I'm gonna watch a film I go into quick settings and turn theatre mode on). I think it's more about turning off stuff that's non essential to your way of living. Battery life is atrocious tho', new Watch4 owner and looking at those Huawei watchs with 2 weeks life and wondering if I should swap - tho I love the Watch4 aesthetics. Brilliant video guys btw, one of the best I've come across.
