For those that don’t know, those long web ropes were first used with the “The Amazing Spider-Man” movie’s 6-inch figure when it first came out in 2012. That’s how old those molds are.
The sculpt on those legs looks so much better. Also glad this one wasn’t sloppy like the webs on the retro one. This just proves hasbro can do good paint application if they try!
In my opinion, pinless joints are one of the major factors in making some japanese figures look so much better than american ones. I'm very glad that Hasbro has finally caught up, this figure is beautiful!
Not gonna lie, this is now my favorite ml spider man and biggest reason is that they finally nailed the anatomy, he actually looks like a human and not a cheap toy, and also gotta love all the accessories, the clean paintjob and a really good headsculpt
I prefer this body mold for the adult spiderman rather than the retro one. Not too buff, not too skinny. It suits the character better. That retro version isn't that great, but everyone seems to want it. This is a nice figure. Hopefully they will use this body mold again for future releases, but it's unlikely. The New 2 set Spidey will be the new figure going forward now.
Loving this figure, him and the Renew Your Vows two pack were must-gets for me, I pre-ordered them right away. Now just need Walmart to get it's sh*t together for the Retro Lizard pre-order.
This is great. The line work looks super clean and sharp so hopefully they all turn out like that. It'll be hard to tell without inspecting them in package! I wonder who else they could use this mold for.
Would love it if they made a figure of the burglar. Doubt they will but he's a pretty important character in a way (plus it'd be good to just have a generic street thug). I love the return of the burglar arc from the comics, too. Great stuff with Mysterio, kingpin and black cat. Underrated imo.
I also have always wanted a generic cop as well. Two versions of them. A cop with the hat back in the 60's, and a modern cop without a hat. They need to come with the guns, of course.
In comparison to toybiz's version I'd have alot more love for hasbro if they would bring back small details like sculpted detail in the parts that are supposed to be fabric for figures like these. If they won't sculpt the lines fine but could do something as small as fabric wrinkles, that would do alot for a figure from it looking like an actual toy to actually looking just a little more lifelike
I’m gonna go ahead say This looks really good. But, Not almost $30 good though. I miss the old price. Like I could get something like this from McFarlane for $10 less with more sculpting detail😖
$30 for new sculpt, pinless tech, web wings 6 hands, good articulation and overall a new figure is very fair. Normal ML are $24. A $4 increase to $28 isn’t even bad
I think they used the amazing fantasy 15# cover for front reference and they accidentally got their next reference for the back of the figure mixed up with amazing spiderman 1963 issue 1# instead of the amazing fantasy 15# comic that they should've still used for back reference. Or its just Hasbro being lazy call me crazy but I think I like this figure more than the new Spidey renew your vows 2 pack spiderman. I do need a classic spiderman so im still getting the 2 pack.
I actually wish they made the height equivalent to the Ultimate Spider-Man mold. That would have made the figure near-perfect as far as Marvel Legends go. I wonder if Mafex will give us a similar offering.
That wouldn't be right since classic 616 peter is an average-ish height of 5'10 while ultimate peter is really short at 5'5 so scaling this figure down wouldn't be correct
I am in love with this figure. I love the candy apple red and the dark blue and the headsculpt is perfect for me. This will be my new main Spider-Man in displays.
Killer video Prime! These are the types of vids we watch when deciding on our next stop motion shorts and figures. Your in- depth reviews on dexterity and sizing helps tremendously, keep it up!
Fabric webs like the kind Toy Biz used (in gray) would have made this perfect. I prefer the red spider symbol on the back, but I get why sky blue is technically correct for his first appearance.
Sold out immediately on Hasbro pulse which makes me really sad I wanna get this so bad. I got the original series 2 Spiderman as a little kid and it was my first marvel legend, so this one means a lot to me. I'm gonna hunt for it like a mad man when it comes out lol
I liked this figure mold more than the vintage collection mold. But for an "adult" spiderman. Not a "teenager". For a teenager spiderman, they could just the ultimate spiderman mold or the far from home mold. This one just looks perfect .His body proportions are so ideal for an adult version of spidey. Vintage one looks weird. His torso is just out of shape and nobody mentions this. But again, he still feels too big for a teenager spidey since it's a modified version of the vintage one.
Yeah I like it too, I'm also glad they're reusing it in the amazing friends three pack coming up soon, with the classic colors ofc. Fucking love Spider-Man ❤
Yeah I like it too, I'm also glad they're reusing it in the amazing friends three pack coming up soon, with the classic colors ofc. Fucking love Spider-Man ❤
Yes that figure will be the definitive spidey for most of the collectors, the only concern is the figures height, he seems shorter than firestar which is kind of weird, I hope that's not the case
This has just become my new favourite legends figure. This is one of my most favourite spidey designs and the way they brought it out was great. The only major gripe I have is that they didn’t use the articulated foot from the renewing view spidey. But no biggie. Also, this is one of the figures where ML’s dropped down shoulders work very well for the character. In AF, he didn’t have a very heroic stature.
I would love to see more variations like Spider-Man figures based on how he looked in different cartoons. the 60s cartoon with limited web design and the wrong number of legs on the spider emblem. a Spider-Man Unlimited figure. stuff like that.
Am I the only one that thinks that they should do a repaint of the classic red and blue with this body mold, i know we are getting the spidey/spinneret 2 pack but I like the smaller more slim body a little more honestly🤷🏽
I always loved the red and black look for Spider-Man. Got so hyped when they revealed his Far From Home suit back then because of that. Hyped again now to get this figure
I just hate how all of the body molds look the same with slight differences. Everything is too clean. I really like the torso on the mr fantastic figure. I wish they’d make a Spider-Man like that. With limbs in the same style. Of course other sculpted details would be great. The webbing and spider logos. I like the toy biz one with the big crotch. It’s got great detail and coloring. Pretty skinny but it’s unique and captures some sweet detail. They also always make Spider-Man too tall. Marvel legends make him like he’s at least 6’4. People Edit: I think smaller eyes and sculpted web pattern would go a long way. Smaller feet and body too.

I don't understand how you can debut this figure side by side with a spider-man figure with much much better articulation, it really takes away from this release IMO. If the articulation between this one and the 2 pack was the same I would probably grab this but not having those toe joints and the poorer range of movement in general means I won't be picking this up.

It's sucks that they still using the small shoulders in the upcoming updated 2 pack with Spinneret and they still struggling figuring out how to do double ball pegs for necks. It’s not that buff, they even slimmed down the legs
Cool way to celebrate 60 years of Spidey.
I love the Spider-Man stop motion
Wish i knew this was coming out in time to order one. I miss my old marvel legends ditko figure from 06.
I don't follow action figures closely these days so i only found out this thing existed weeks after pre-orders ended. 🤣
In my opinion this is way better than the retro body.i pre ordered this almost as soon as it hit BBTS. I love this figure!
really woulda loved some blue shading as well as a blue back logo, other than that this figure is really cool
Good enough figure, just wish it had more articulation and better built proportions.
wow Big Time was really bad ass this time
Ahhhh I’m here!!!!!!
