I was waiting for this one brother!!! I swapped the toe pivot feet from RNYV Spidey and I must say its near perfect with that!! Love this design and great wall crawling poses. I want to do the magnet feet mod that @theotakulens did but I got no skillz lol.
Regarding QC issues they are off the charts with them on both new Spidey's I ordered. My first RNYV spidey had huge circles of paint scraped off above butt lower back area and the amazing fantasy one had a couple deep gashes and paint rubbed off, so I ordered replacements and they still had some small paint defects but cmon Hasbro!!!

Yeah the Retro is far superior as an animated series version of Spider-man.
Spidey being a noodle armed manlet is just wrong for any Spidey who is not in high school. Buff Spider-man is the best.
Imo the Retro is the best Spider-man, I find the RYV to be overhyped, I prefer the colors, face and spider symbol on the retro.
But I also loooove my Amazing fantasy Spider-man.
Also I find the edits and funny haha bits on this video to be cringe.

My AF15 Spidey came with the web lines missing on ONE of the grabbing hands. I emailed hasbro with photo evidence and never heard back from them. A month later, I got a package in the mail. Hasbro sent me an entire new fig with perfect paint this time for absolutely no cost. I don’t like to compliment hasbro but this was pretty awesome of them.
I once messaged Hasbro about a figure breaking, a month later I got a 60$ Transformer to replace my broken 22$ transformer
I too don’t like complimenting Hasbro but man, us Transformers are being spoiled to hell
Man I got lucky enough to have a figure with minimal paint defects (aside from the fact he's missing the black section on the front of his left shoulder but it's pretty negligible all things considered). Hasbro really needs to sort out their QC, especially if they want to go with the fully card boxed figures. If Hasbro stop insulting their customers with crap QC, they've got a superb figure on their hands with this one. Love me some Ditko Spood and they did him justice.

This figure would be a great body for a Tom Holland and/or even Tobey Spidey custom. Its already in red & black, the build is not too skiny, buff, or ripped, it has web wings, and its just the right height too (Tom & Tobey are 5'8").
This would only fit tobey, Tom is too skinny for this mold

I’m man enough to admit after getting this figure Hasbro got me by the balls and I preordered the amazing friends 3 pack. Gotta have this figure in classic red and blue also. Animated series one looks good but I want that more classic look.
Also, for anyone who wants a classic Peter to go with this figure, the retro Pete head on the comic JJJ body works great. The skin tones aren’t a perfect match but they do scale perfectly and looks appropriately classic.

Its so laughable that Hasbro FINALLY does it right for a Spider-Man figure, or even doing exactly what we're asking for in a figure no less, add onto the fact that I prefer red and black to red and blue and love Ditko's art, and they still FIND a way to fuck it up. I have seen so many QC issues on it, and I gotta say I got lucky on mine, save the eyes having a little bit of black on them. I just really hope they reuse this body a lot, that's the only way I can forgive them. Cause it really feels like they slacked off on the QC for this one cause they knew that everyone was gonna go crazy for it
Damn, I'm so sorry about those QC issues but I'm glad you were able to get a good replacement 👍I think this fig is pretty sick, but my personal favorite is the 2020 retro card version. EVERY Spiderman figure should have toe joints. My old ben Reily figure has toe joints and even magnets in his feet to he can actually wall crawl and that like a 10 year old figure
Good 'ol Hasbro. Cost cutting literally everything, and they still jack up the price. Glad to see people bring this to light now. I've seen so many people defend the increase in price for "more detail"
Definetly the best Spider-Man Hasbro has made. Also benefits more from the toe hinges from the Renew Your Vows Spidey. I recommend the foot swap.

Next time you want to swap out parts on figures, use a hair-dryer to heat them up. Boiling water could make the plastic brittle and it could cause the paint to rub off.

Almost a year later and I’m happy to report that when I ordered mine two days ago it had only a small black smudge that I can easily paint over.
Qc is still poor but at less people aren’t getting COMPLETE pieces of the SUIT MISSING

Great Review! Though I recommend to take the arm off the butterfly joint and cut the peg a little bit to improve the range of motion. Kitbash Customs did a video on it if you wanted to see it.
DIY Accessory tip: Use white floral wire (26 guage) and wrap two around each other and make a loop on the end. Can attach to your Spidey figs’ wrists and have them swing with this fig’s accessory holding hand. Also good with Mafex fig.

Personally, with Hasbro's God awful quality control along with the windowless packaging being utter bullshit, it pains me to say that I'm skipping this figure, because I want to build up my Spider-Verse collection.
Obviously the *_No Way Home_* pack coming out next summer will be the flagship of the collection, but I also want to get *_Into the Spider-Verse_* figures (namely Miles and Gwen), Mysterio from *_Far From Home_* and the newer Vulture from *_Homecoming_* and the retro classic suit and black suit.
Again, I was planning on getting this as well, but the horrendous quality control is what's keeping me from getting this one. Love your content as always, Spider-Criminal! You just crack me up! 🤣🤣🤣

Why didn't you just put the defective one in the box of the second one then return it so you can just have one
i’m not sure if this will be helpful to you in the future, but if you buy a figure from target that’s got a quality issue, you can usually get a replacement by using the “fix an issue” feature or by calling customer service

I woulsnt have paid for a replacement. Wouldve just emailed or called customer support to have them sent a replacement for free due to how its technically theyre fault. Happened a couple times for some Transformers figures i bought where there was malformed, loose parts, or just paint defects and they just sent me free replacements to make up for them. Either that or get a refund and take a second shot at another figure.
11:09 his arms do indeed go up all the way, you just have to pinch the shoulder, and while pulling down, turn it upward. Its a very tight fit but it definitely works, well enough to clear the gap without scratching, so it has to be intentional

Target released the amazing fantasy spiderman but made the back spider symbol blue.
On Amazon, this figure is around 40 dollars. I got the target exclusive which was about 20 or 10 dollars cheaper, plus it’s more accurate cuz the blue logo.
I’d like to flex my amazing fantasy with nothing wrong with it and it’s perfection
