Toybiz with pinless joints, sculpted webs, and toe joints way before Hasbro and at a lower price point decades ago? Hasbro has no excuse for slacking nowadays.
Toybiz also went bankrupt because they were doing all that

@C Young I hate to be that guy, but ToyBiz went bankrupt because Disney sold the license to Hasbro. Disney realized it was cheaper to have a 3rd party making their figures than have their own company do it. ToyBiz went bankrupt because they lost the license, not the other way around
@@chewymew no sir, you are wrong. disney bought marvel in 2009, Hasbro acquired the Marvel license after Toybiz in 2006
also because Toybiz made pinnless joints by having the bicep be two pieces to either side of the elbow joint (same for forearm/ leg segments) that were glued together instead of using injection molding, they had a tendency to split and break.

Just a quick note, you can raise the newest one's arms waaaay higher than that. Almost all the way up, and with very minimal chipping, at least with mine.

Spectacular Spider-Men review Jason! Hate the windowless box too but the accessories and poseability of the Hasbro Spidey make it a winner! At least Stealth Iron-Man has a playability friend now! 😮

The new 60 Year figure is like the first time I felt kinda sad putting a figure on my shelf. Like it feels so good to pose that just leaving it on the shelf in just one feels like I'm mistreating it.
I used to have the Sentinel Toybiz one but foolishly sold it way back 😭
But yeah, always loved Spidey's First Appearance suit! The squinty eyes and red/black just look so much cooler imo.
It really is a great look.

Man that old toy biz marvel legends classic spidey brings me back. I was about 10 when my uncle let me borrow his figure and i was blown away by ho much the figure can move. It totally made me decide co collect action figure later on.
This is why you’re the best, Jason. I was heavily considering grabbing this spidey but ultimately I wouldn’t appreciate it. Thanks for this video. I still don’t own a spider-man I’m still looking for my first spidey. I really just want the RYV especially for toe articulation lol

Ah yes Definitive Spiderman Marvel Legend number 7348, easily my biggest complaint with all the new "definitive" spidermen figures we are getting is the lack of consistency, I understand maybe not putting toe joints on all of them, but I got the new retro card one, which has the pinless joints and the newer torso set up like this and RYV, but it has a disk hinge head, like...why go BACKWARDS on a figure, so now we have the Retro with the new torso articulation and drop down legs, the renew your vows with the added toes, first edition being basically renew your vows articulation with no toes, and the animated carded one, with no toes, and no double ball jointed neck
I get you want options for people, but later options should not be worse than prior ones
We always want to see a versus for ALL OF THESE!!!

I finally got my favorite Joker figure from DC multiverse on Sunday. I got the 3 joker's Clown figure from a family gift exchange. I'm so happy to add a joker to my Batman shelf.

Mary Jane is pretty expensive these days. If you get the Gwen Stacy, she comes with a Mary Jane head. You can either turn her into MJ, or turn another characters into MJ. A lot of people use the Claire Body from the Luke Cage two pack. Hope that helps!

I just got the toy bizz for $17 at my comic store.
Bro, classic Spidey is still my "Amazing fantasy" Spiderman. Honestly, I have him on the shelf, next to my mafex ASM2 figure and I was so shocked that my old ass, classic Spidey can still articulate 75% as well as the mafex figure. I dont have the new AF Spidey yet, but thus far, I think that its probably the best buck theyve used for Spidey... now, I WAY like the DESIGN of the "renew your vows" SM way better, but as far as proportions and silhouette, I like the new AF Spidey a lot. If they could take that buck and make it more "McFarlane," or "Bagely" style, it would be the definitive Spiderman figure.... wow... I went on a bit of a tangent, didnt I ? Lol! My point WAS, that classic AF Spidey, held up to time WAY better than I anticipated.🤣🤣 Sik

Hasbro amazing fantasy not winning possibility is blasphemy lmao. And I’d argue that’s it’s range of motion is way better than the review your vows as he can touch his toes without bending the knees or having the legs spread out.
It was a symbolic vote against Hasbro for not giving him toe-liculation despite the two figures from 20 years ago having it, but hey he still made out pretty good in the end right? Lol

I once read this in a TH-cam comment that the reason why ToyBiz stopped making pinless figures were because of them constantly breaking or something like that.
I only read that comment like twice & it was some years ago, so I don't remember which video it was & all & I am not sure if it's true or not.
It's true because one of my old Toybiz spiderman classics figure had the pinless joints breaking apart and I had to glue it in place

you forgot the target exclusive hasbro figure, it comes with better packaging, and the spider on his back is blue which is more accurate to the actual comic. if you want a better hasbro first appearance suit, consider reviewing this one instead.
Yeah that one is def the most accurate now. Unfortunately, when I did this video a year ago we had no idea that one was coming.
Hasbro did a great job with this first appearance. I love first appearance figures, I already have the sentinel one, but I might take the web wings from him and put them on Hasbro, because those web wings suck
They are okay for figure photography, but they don't really like to stay in.

if we’re being honest those toybiz spideys look absolutely terrible by todays standards. pretty clear that the new hasbro spidey is the best one by far
So like.. my favorite video game reviewer puts big emphasis on how the best of the year should come out the first week of the next year. It's always bothered him that say the game awards have a cut off of a month and a half of the year.
Basically what I'm saying is, consumerism is wild and we shouldn't do a best of the year until the year is over lmao. But that's just me, backing up a little procrastination xD
