  • Just because you're a big scary werewolf doesn't mean you don't have to eat your vegetables!
    Well, y'all voted, I answered! Dylan's back for my 600 subscriber celebration! I'm really excited for this story. These two are kinda fun! Sorry for any mic sounds in the background---I'm still learning how to use the new mic and the stand makes occasional noises if I bump it. I'm learning I'm learning 😅
    (I'm gonna post a poll on this eventually but according to my analytics, more of my viewers are on like two hours before I post. Should I post two hours earlier than I've been posting?)
    I hope you enjoy!
    Until next time!

    This is a lot better than I thought it would be (No offense intended, I've had some interesting [read: painful] experiences with small ASMRtists.) and I'll definitely have to take another look in the future for more uploads!

      Thank you! None taken I know what you mean. Personally I think it helps that I’ve been writing for almost 20 years (since I was a pretty young kid) and really do prefer and enjoy being mostly chill and having fun
      And you are welcome back any time!

    Needed to just chill and listen to a video and just got the notification. I needed this after this week. I appreciate all you do and the work you put into your videos.

      @@TallyMarkASMR I was curious about getting started in making some audios myself, but I have absolutely no idea where to start. Would you have any recommendations you could make as to equipment/general guidelines for starting out?

    • @TallyMarkASMR
      @TallyMarkASMR  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@applejakes7627 That’s awesome! Honestly? The best way to start is to just *start* rather than waiting for everything to be perfect. If I waited to get a nice mic to start my channel, this would have been my second video. I really, genuinely started with my phone microphone and worked my way up to a Blue Yeti. Which is what a lot of ASMRtists that I’ve watched through the years said they either use or used to use. I love it even though I’m still learning how to use it to it’s fullest extent.
      (Also be consistent as much as you can. Whether that’s uploading once a month, once a week, or whatever. Just be consistent)
      I actually don’t really use any paid programs for my editing of anything either. Mostly things that were already pre-programmed into my laptop back when I bought it. I have an Apple and I use GarageBand for sound editing and iMovie to put the thumbnail on to make the video. But for windows, Audacity is free and I wish I could remember the free video editor I’ve heard other TH-camrs use… I know some people use a program called Gimp in place of Photoshop for thumbnails.
      Funny as it sounds, I often use Snapchat and nature shots I just took on my phone to make my thumbnails (although there are *plenty* of websites with public domain images that are free to use)
      I *wish* I had Adobe Premiere because it’s more precise and I actually learned video and sound editing with it in school but I genuinely think i get by just fine with the free things I have
      (If you want your channel to grow, you *do* have to feed into the algorithm a little. For my channel it’s been werewolves that get the most views and growth and I doubt I’d have This Many if my other stories got the same amount of views. I love werewolves don’t get me wrong, but there are other stories I’m working on that will never perform as well and are really just a passion project)(If everything got equal views I’d honestly have Waaaaay more mermaids than werewolves tbh)
      Personally, I don’t “script” anything word-for-word much anymore. I did at the beginning but I thought I sounded stilted and stiff so I actually outline what I want the audio to be in bullet points and kinda improv the stuff in between. (And then edit out the long pauses while I was trying to figure out what to say 😅) With regards to that: tell the story the way you want to tell it-scripted or improvised
      So yeah! My recommendations are basically boiled down to: just do it, get started; be consistent as best you can; use free resources, you’ll be fine; and tell the stories you want to tell, but pandering to the algorithm is okay too. (And if your stories require content warnings, do your best to add them. I forget all the time and I always feel bad about it)
      Quick edit: also record in a closet or under a blanket to reduce echo and do your best to find quiet times if the environment around you is noisy (and turn off the heater or air conditioning or anything like that because the droning *will* be audible and distracting. But maybe that’s just me)(even your phone microphone is more sensitive than you think)

      @@TallyMarkASMR I appreciate the advice. I run a D&D campaign for a group of my friends, but being adults, sometimes we go weeks and months at a time without running. I have so many ideas floating around in my head that I could probably drive some to insanity. Again I appreciate every bit of advice and it sounds like I've got alot of learning coming my way. 😊 Thank you!

      @@applejakes7627 oh I know the feeling! It’s been about two months since my main group played DnD and over two years since my other group (of which I’m the forever-DM) got together. Too many ideas is a big part of why I do this too! It’s a unique way to tell stories but a very rewarding one!
      There’s some learning to it but I think it’s worth it!

    Am loving this series will there be more, she makes me feel good and makes me a happy boi, makes me wish i had someone like her irl . i also have a question and sorry if i have asked this before but what kind of werewolf is they like Van Helsing kind or is it like oversized wolves or something in between?, Loved this keep it up hope there's more.

    • @TallyMarkASMR
      @TallyMarkASMR  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! There will be more! I have plenty of plans for Dylan and this listener!
      I don’t think you’ve asked before-but I think I mentioned in a Starlit Hills video (same universe) that the werewolves are oversized wolves! Like, they can be mistaken for normal wolves from a distance (albeit Very Very Big normal wolves)
      There will be more! I promise! I really enjoy these two and I’m really honored to hear she makes you happy!

    suprisingly werewolves can't eat vegetables they have a strict meat diet but i don't mind having a carrot or tomato

    • @TallyMarkASMR
      @TallyMarkASMR  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      😆 LOL. My werewolves 100% can eat vegetables. And chocolate. And grapes. They’re not actually canine. They’re humans. Who just so happen to be able to change their body into a wolf’s. (If they’re *in* wolf form when they eat things that are poisonous to canines they might get extremely ill but they’ll be fine when they shift back to human form) Dylan just likes teasing her partner because she’s got a bit of a sarcastic, silly personality
