Yes I asked the Yaesu guy there and it has full duplex AND USB-c . I am going to be buying the Yaesu FTX -1F. Similar size to 705 and tuner addon available! It's an amazing looking radio! The images make it look like the 500 but it is bigger and is beautiful! Posting a short on the can antenna. hehe
Regarding the new Yaesu FTX-1F, I was hoping for (but not expecting) a radio in the size and form factor of the Elecraft KX2. A similar size HF only radio with the addition of a simple spectrum scope and at a lower price than the KX2 (< $1,000 for a complete package). I think that would fly off the shelves.
As I commented in the live stream video, this is not what I expected. Going from the 7851 to this to me is a big letdown. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it has all the bells and whistles the radio elete will want, I'm just not into spending 6k plus for a control head 7610 look-alike. I will be getting a 7610.
I didn’t hear anyone mention the new look of the spectrum scan view on the new Yaesu. Maybe I stepped out of the room while watching, but did anyone else notice the 3D look for the time component of the spectrum scan, the slight convergence of past time? Is this something new? I checked, Icom literature doesn’t show anything like that? Neither does flex. I realize I don’t follow this stuff like you young guys, but that caught my attention.
Guys this is so complicated, and yes I am pretty nerdy when it comes to tech. But not gonna lie this doesnt interest me much. BUT i need one radio for my pickup truck in europe. I want it to use in emergencys as well as to hold coms with other pickups. Can someone simplyfy me the hastle and tell me one modell to pick. Would really apreciate.
Saw the live unveiling but missed this live afterward. Very exciting stuff!!! Crushing the HAM news as usual!!!

I'm Glad that I live here in this Country!
We have much more Spectrum and Bands on Ham Radio,
I do have Yeasu FT5D and Kenwood D75 also these Icom ID-52A and Alinco DJ-MD5, Use these Radios with a Openpot 4,
Aww Yaesu. 100W please. Replace the dang FT-857D! Sigh.
Don't you know you're just supposed to buy whatever the new radio is, whether it does what you want or not?
@@someguy782 LOL!
200w “contest rig” come from FD limits for some of the classes.

I think we’re all waiting to see if versions of the 7760 become the architecture for newer more beginner focused radios.
The 7851 is physically very large, it requires a lot of desk space. A radio with a separate head unit will appeal to a many user.
FTX-1F Dual Receivers like the FT-8900R.
Now Yeasu needs to come out with their version of the IC 905!
the ICOM IC 705 do RTTY on HF VHF and UHF, Yeasu only do Packet,

All their current gen HF radios have this 3d view.
We need bandwatch shirts.
So what is the speculation on price?
What is the 3rd band for the Kenwood?
1.25 meters
LOL@ "Bandwatch" meme hahahaha!

Looks like the same old 10-15 year old tech in a new box?
