    I'm going through the same..nobody knows that being an actress & a singer is my biggest dream. I'm about to start college & I have chosen the nurse career but i don't want to be it, I just chose it cause it's one of the highest paying job & just in case I don't have good luck in acting career. I might do acting after nurse career but i don't know if it will be worth taking the nurse career. I'm so confused. I want to be stable & be able to afford a good life to my future kids. I once told my counselor that I wanted to be a singer &actress, all she said was "well you have to reach out on social media & become noticible, so that a company will notice you" I told her I'm a shy person, she was like " you will have to find something else you are interested in" I feel like I had no hope & I feel like nobody believes in me. So that's why I chose nurse . & im afraid people will judge my body & face, cause im not beautiful wirh a models body. I don't know I don't what to do😔😔 Someone has advice??

      i’ve never seen somebody go through what i am except the looks just remember you can act at any age there is no limit nobody has to look beautiful in a movie because your role is to look like yourself if you get what i mean basically i’m saying and looks or personalities can get a role in a good movie because they suit it for example ‘The mask’

      Hey I’m currently in the exact same boat as you! But I came to a point where I knew I wasn’t gonna be happy pursuing a career in the medical field so I decided to change my major to theatre! Don’t let anyone discourage you from doing what you want to do in life. Good luck with all your future endeavors!!

      no one really cares what you look like in acting, because that’s how you get specific roles! you’re chosen for the role because of the way you look, so looks don’t matter all that much

      @@dreamdebelle. i quit in like 2021 because i was young, I was passionate but not to the extent when I learnt what i needed to do and the process. The only reason why i wanted to do acting was because i saw stranger things s3 in 2020 and i aspired to be like them but i was too lazy to do so and also there was no available jobs in my city so most of them time the city around me which is like 45min-2h drives and my parent or older sibling was not willing to drive me. Although i have started modeling and instead of learning for a long period of time i just went straight into looking for a job near me and luckily there was one, it had no experience so i was perfect for it and even though i didn't learn about they gave me the lessons that are fit for me but i wouldn't also recommend doing this as the directors may leave bad reviews but it worked for me. wow i realise this is long but i hope it helps!!

    Tripping up during an audition is common/natural; this doesn't mean that they "didn't prepare". Literally any/everyone auditioning wants to be exceptional. Conditioning from previous auditions can have negative effects. Besides the obvious, unfortunately this short segment doesn't help much. Break a leg everyone

    A question nobody seems to be asking. What do casting directors think about an actor's website? Do they prefer it to be plain and to the point with ease of navigation so they can find, video and head-shots in one click? Do they care how "pretty it looks"? Or does that matter?

    • @yy0k1
      @yy0k1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well you can’t stop stuttering, it’s a natural thing. You could audition for roles that don’t speak often. Depending on you stutter is if they can accept you or not.

    • @kans01a76
      @kans01a76 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yh you can also go to speech therapy. I heard that while it can't completely eradicate the stutter it can help it become a lot less notable

    • @the5minutesreview682
      @the5minutesreview682 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Speech therapy is good. But maybe if you are lucky, there might be a role just for you where your character is supposed to stutter. Or make a movie portraying such a character by yourself if you have enough money for it.

    • @DP-yw4vk
      @DP-yw4vk 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a few actors out there who used to have a stutter. Emily blunt for example. Although for her she realised it would disappear whenever she was acting. I think speech therapy would be helpful but dont let it hold you back!

    I am the most professional, kindest, easiest actor to work with and I’m never cast, losing every role to total assholes. This may be your experience as a casting person, but everybody else loves the bad boys and prefers the jerks. Bad advice because it’s all lies!
