IT Professionals Networking Event | Professional Diaspora Networking Dinner

Some of our Gispp members from Riyadh were invited to a professional diaspora networking dinner hosted by the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh in the honor of the visiting IT delegation from Pakistan.
The event aimed to connect Pakistani professionals working in the IT & IT enabled sectors in the Kingdom with some of the top tech companies and start-ups from Pakistan .
It was a very successful event attended by a large group of IT, Business as well as information security professionals of Riyadh along with the honorable guests i.e. H.E Dr. Umar Saif who is currently the interim IT Minister who graced the occasion alongside a delegation of more than 15 companies.
He shared some good news as mentioned below .
1.Ministory of Investment (MISA) will establish a special desk for Pakistani IT companies to get registered in KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) and to grant (them) licenses to operate in KSA
2.Identifying the top 100 Pakistani talents globally - individuals potentially poised to win Nobel Prizes and establish billion-dollar companies
3.Possible cooperation on chip manufacturing, which involves producing semiconductor chips in various electronic devices. This area of interest is mutually vital for both countries.
Dr Umar Saif was also able to get a lot of commitments from different ministries and was hopeful that a bright future awaits for Pakistani and Saudi Tech Industry, once both joined hands together. It was a lovely event indeed.
