Feteasca Neagra is not a reference to a "Black Girl" in your case. Instead, it is the name of a grape variety that is used to make wine. Feteasca is typically a white grape which grows in Republik of Moldova, but there is also a rare, black Feteasca variety. The word "feteasca" is translated as "girlish". Come to visit Republic of Moldova and see the underground wine deposits - Milestii Mici, Winery, Cricova Winery, Asconi Winery, Kvint, Castle Mimi Wine Resort

Feteasca Neagra is an old autochthonous variety of grapes from Romania, known since ancient times( Dacia) , from which red and rosé wines are obtained. It is also cultivated in the Republic of Moldova.

I'm beginning to think the top of Tampa Mountain is impenetrable - I couldn't get up because the station was closed and you couldn't get up because it was just too busy! Interesting little tour too, I'm so glad you visited Brasov - it was my favourite place and I loved it too! Was that a fox that crossed the street in front of you? I've never known one to do that before, must be totally use to humans like you said. Bușteni looks like a fairytale and the castle is definitely going on my list - I've seen a few castles over the years but that looks like something special. The basket of blackberries and raspberries was a perfect treat for a sunny warm day in the Romanian mountains. Great that you were able to meet up with Jacob & Jenny, cool that you were all in Romanian at the same time! Your drone shots are getting better and better - always love seeing these mountain towns from the air.

First time we have ever seen one in real life, and he was gorgeous. Busteni really is a fairytale! You definitely need to visit there next time. We're happy we were able to see up with Jacob and Jenny too. Thanks for the compliment on our drone footage, we're trying to catch up to you! Thanks friend! ❤️🇷🇴❤️🇷🇴

Maramures and Moldova (the monasteries and fortifications in Moldova especially) are scenic and full of historical sites but maybe for someone who doesn’t speak the language these regions are a bit harder to visit.

We know that in many of the countries we visit, there is not a high population of vegetarians. We also are aware that the traditional meals all include meat, BUT many of these countries do have really good and creative vegetarian dishes. And we saw in a comment that we introduced the lentil loaf to a Romanian who is vegetarian and now he wants to try it. So that is pretty cool. We have never seen a fox in real life. It was a bit scary but it acted a lot like a dog and we can't believe it got so close to us either! We have visited a lot of fortresses that are in ruins, but it was incredible to see these castles in Romania that are still very much in tact and functional. The berries were fresh and yummy. Thank you for the comment Sage! ❤️🇷🇴❤️🇷🇴

I would like to make a small remark about that wine.
The name Fetească Neagra comes from Fetești Village, where this type of grape from which this wine is made was first cultivated, a wine that has an extremely long history in these lands.
It has nothing to do with the translation that would come from Romanian into English and that leaves room for interpretations

I bingewatched your videos from Romania, I’ll watch the rest too. Unlike other Western youtubers who focus only on very tourist-y things and on the food (which honestly isn’t that special, just your typical Balkan food), you, in spite of the fact that you visited the “tourist traps” are focusing more on the history of the places you visit and underline that and the natural beauty or the architecture.
Don’t be offended by the “Feteasca neagra” wine☺️ It doesn’t mean “black girl”, a more accurate translation would be “the dark wine from the girls’ village”. We call “black” the dark red wine and “feteasca” is the wine from a certain wine region, a village called “Fetesti”.
