It is such a gorgeous place, truly breathtaking! Thanks for sharing your story :)

It is such a wonderful place!! Busteni and Brasov are a dream! Thank you for your kind comment friend :)
@@JacobandJennyTravelUauuuu❤❤😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉
No one would blame you for crying. I take the train often in romania, and every time I catch a sunset I cry. I haven't had that in a while as ive been in the usa. But yesterday on the L (train in Chicago) I saw a sunset between two buildings, that literally gave me flashbacks. Your videos have made me want to finish things up here and go right back to romania haha 😄
Some things are just so beautiful!! Haha, that is so fair, Romania is incredible!! Thanks for watching :)
I guess by the end of the Romania trip, our country will be one Jenny's favourites! You 2 are welcome to Romania. Always.
You are SO right! It is already one of my favorites!!
I just found you today, just finished all your Romania clips and you posted now a new one! This is amazing, made my day. I love how much you love my country, and now it's your country as well. I recommend you visit Romania again in the future because it has a lot to offer and you cannot see it all in one trip. I like you guys, you have a great energy, beautiful couple.
We are so happy to hear that you are enjoying our videos! We are loving Romania so much, it is such a special place. We want to come back in the winter when it is snowing. Thank you so much for your kind words :)
@@JacobandJennyTravel
Unfortunately due to climate change it’s not snowing much anymore not even in Romania which used to have great white winters ; nowadays except in some of the mountains eventually…and that’s why everything is rather greyish in winter and compared to the 60s, 70s and 80s the lack of snow looks rather sad
I SO NICE TO SEE JENY CRY FOR A POZITIVE EMOTION
It was so beautiful!!! I loved it 😍
Another beautiful city is Oradea, !!
We will look it up!! Thank you for the information :)
And Cluj-Napoca and Timișoara and Maramureș there is a lot off towns to see and Transfăgărășan road and transalpina road

If you are still in Brasov,i recommend you to eat at 'La Ceaun'. They are serving traditional romanian dishes, and they are located in Piata Sfatului. If you wanna discover more about Romania, try Maramures and Bucovina.
We have heard from a few people that restaurant is amazing! We need to try it for sure! Thanks for the information :)
I didn't spend that much time in Brasov when I was in Romania - your video will have to suffice. Traditionally the Romanian nation had three main principalities - Wallachia, or the southern Danubian plain region; Moldova, or northeastern Romania; and finally Ardeal, or Transylavania. Historically, the Germans were really big in Transylvania, and Brasov, called Kronnstadt in German, was one of the Siebenburgen, or Seven Walled Cities of Transylvania. Vlad Tepes, or Vlad the Impaler / Dracula, was born in the Transylvanian city of Sighisoara but he was a prince of Wallachia, or southern Romania, and ruled from Targoviste, which is some 50 miles northwest of modern day Bucharest. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homeopathic Medicine, spent a lot of time in Transylvania, in Brasov, I believe. William Penn, who was of German descent, founded the American colony of Pennsylvania - where do you think he got the -sylvania suffix from? Transylvania!
Wow this is so interesting!! So much incredible history there. Thank you for sharing all that :)
If you want to meet bears you take a car and go to Transfăgărășan Highway which was name " the Best road in the world!" By Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear.
Yes that is our plan!! We are so excited :) thanks for watching and the recommendation!
Hello and welcome to Brașov, 3 places where you must eat : La Ceaun Pilvax and Sergiana, all 3 are in Old Town, very close to where you are staying.
I wish you as pleasant stay as possible
We will check them out! Thank you so much for the recommendations :)
Sending you all the love from Romania! ❤ as a Romanian, seeing you cry made me emotional ..

I miss Germany so much, this reminds me of it. God made the earth so beautiful! How did I end up surrounded by cornfields??😢 The churches in Europe are massive and old. Loved your video. Huge dinner, it looked so good!!
germany had large populations in estern europe , germans and austrians owned transilvania and not only for the past 1000 years so the architecture reflects that. The country was always invaded and rulled by other nations since forever. It was since forever divied in 3 , transilvania and western parts were dominated by austrian, german, hungary (habsburg empire, hungarian empire ,etc) ; the south part was dominated by Greece and Turkey ( Bizantine empire and later Ottoman empire) ; estern part domninated by poland and Russia. In ancient times it was dominated by Roman empire, Goths ,Mongol empire ,Persian empire, cumans and many many others. The mesaghete queen Tomiris that defeated the Persian Emperor Cyrus the Great had it's seat of power in Dobrogea region in the city of Tomis not called Constanza. Another interesting fact is that ancient romanians called dacians were the only nation conquered by the Roman empire that were praised in roman arts , more than 15% of roman statues depict dacians ,many of them in expensive stone; they recently found more than 200 dacian villages in northern Italy. The welsh flag is inspired by the dacian draco as welsh was under a dacian army send by Rome. The Constantin Arch in Rome depicts the 6 dacian generals of Emperor Constantin. Trajan's column in Rome depicts the history of Roman-Dacian wars ,were emperor Trajan is depicted talking directly with dacian prisoniers without an interpreter. The dacians traveled as far as India , romanian language has more than 2000 words common with punjabi. Richard the first of Normandy was learning the dacian language at around 900
We agree! It is making us want to go back to Germany so much! Haha🌽 good thing God gave us airplanes to escape the corn (and in our case the desert lol) Thanks Sonja ♥️

Welcome to Brasov. Hope you enjoyed it here. Not sure if you saw the Belvedere view, which is on the road that goes to Poiana Brasov. From there you can see the full city. Very nice view.
Also you should have tried going up to the Brasov sign, either walking or with the cable car, which is not so expensive, plus you have a nice restaurant there to eat also.
The food its amazing, for sweets you should definetly try Papanasi ( fried dumpling with cheese inside and sweet jam covering it)
That sounds amazing! There is so many good views of Braşov. We had some papanasi and it was so delicious 🤤 thank you very much for your comment :)

Hi guys. I found your Brasov video today. I'm actually living here. Are you still in Brasov? For good cabbage rolls and traditional food I would say you could go to "La Ceaun" - one of the best restaurants in town for traditional food. Also the walk near the Tampa Peak is quite nice and has some nice views of the town and a nice restaurant called "Sub Tampa". I imagine you are going to visit Dracula's Castle - there is a nice restaurant close called Vila Bran situated on top of a hill. You should definitely go check that out - it has a nice view of the Bran Castle too. There are 3 other places to visit if you go by car to that area - Cheile Gradistei Fundata, Plaiul Foii Zarnesti and Cheile Dâmbovicioarei. If you don't have a car we could take you there after work tomorrow evening or during weekend.
Ahh thank you so much for all of this wonderful information! This is amazing! We have heard La Ceaun is delicious. Unfortunately we are no longer in Brasov but hope we can come back soon!! Thank you friend for your generous offer :)
We are waiting for you, dearfully, to come back to us anytime.
We hope we will be back so soon! Thanks for watching :)
pronunciation of MICI is MITCH, not Mitchie 😁
Great to know! Thanks for sharing :)
Actually it’s “meech.” Trust me.
You should know that a city gate with four smaller towers on top aside the big one meant that city had the legal right to enforce death penalty. So it was a very visible warning for whoever entry the city that rules are to be obeyed.
Oh wow, that is wild! Thanks for the information :)

Hello!! :)
That is not a taxi….is ride sharing 👍
Taxi is provide by local authority of the city and they are cheap. And give you the receipt when you finish the trip, the price remain all the time the same ( in the day is 2.99 lei \ km and in the night is 3.50 lei \ km)
Enjoy romania 🇷🇴
Right :) thanks so much for watching!!
Starbucks and Five To Go are honestly a waste of money in a city that has so many specialty coffee shops with much better product for pretty much the same price. NOLA, Tipografia and CH9 are just three of the better ones in a range of circa 300 m.
We will have to give those a try! :)
I'm wondering if the internet is consistently good throughout Romania, or if some cities have more stable internet than others. What do you think?
Everywhere we stayed had very good wifi but we never went to any really small towns!
Romania has rank#9 when we are talking about internet speed, you don t have to worry cuz everywhere on the street you have free wifi here

OMG how funny with your posting of starbucks and KFC. I was trying to tell people about Brasov and they didn't understand my dismay until I showed them where they were set in comparison to all the historical buildings. just didn't seem right to see the "western" companies near the black church, etc..
Hahaha that is so funny! It is always so weird seeing super modern companies in historical areas!

Recently independent Romania? 😮
she think about 1989 perhaps... when Romania escape from communism from 1945-1989 we were a "satellite" (vassal) of Soviet Union
@@dand7763 Hi, you have a Romanian flag at your profile pic so I will assume you are Romanian. Romania was never a satellite/vassal of Russia :), the only common thing between the two countries in the period you mentioned is that they were under a communist regime. You could call whatever they were called the states that were part of USSR, as far as I know Romania never was one :)...going back to Romania's independence that was in 1877 so not so recent 😊
@@user-kc5uc3hi8g we were their underdogs , pets , don't be ashamed... all Eastern Europe were their "shield" against "imperialist pigs from West" (that was credo at the time) ,much more we were under the Moscow influence until 1997 (Emil Constantinescu),when finally Romania left Moscow politics and going to EU and NATO

if you think the bolts and ubers are cheap, imagine we pay for a liter of gas the same you pay for a gallon in the us, the gallon is about 3-4 liters. That's what makes america the land of opportunity ,businesses pay 4 times less and charge 4 times more ,and at the end of the year 95% of taxes in america are still paid by the working middle class ,meanwhile the one percent that own 99% of america pay nothing.
