      Bro a lot of us if not most of us understand how this world is corrupt, and while I do appreciate you educating people on the subject I would really be amazed if we could come up with solutions for fixing this situation on a global scale. I mean real solutions not just “everyone stop listening “ cause this goes over into every aspect of the industry not just music.

    The hints are in the video for sure. And I feel this but I also posted something when it dropped and it got deleted. It’s also a commentary on the mentality of society as a whole… the victim of the death was an accident that was actually brought on by himself. And why. Because he took the act too seriously. He got mad over a part of the show and took the bait.
    Also, notice how no one reacted until dude started laughing. It took someone letting everyone know it was ok because the others KNEW it was bad when he died. Yet they still were convinced to laugh and dance QUICKLY. Why? “Because on with the show. Don’t think too hard on it.” This video is top tier.

    I do have to say. Beefs are a thing in metal too, going way back. An example that may not land here is Chuck Schuldiner (Founding member of Death) calling out Paul Masvidal ( Founding member of Cynic, prior member of Death) in the song Philosopher where he basically calls him a hypocrite and a fake. There are other more extreme examples that actually ended in death. All this to say, the entertainment industry is geared around drawing the blood of its artists and profiting off of their demise.

    • @gtsavestheday6569
      @gtsavestheday6569 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@blytheskrieg there was a lot of theories about why the falling out happened, at the time it was said that Chuck was gay and had a thing with Paul, who after decades of of ambiguity actually confirmed that he is gay like 5 years ago at this point. Of course at the time that was another thing you couldn’t be outspoken about. I’m not sure how much I buy into them having a relationship but I just think on the face of it Chuck would’ve been disappointed that Paul wouldn’t accept the truth of who he is but would use his music to convey all the heavy themes he did. There were interviews throughout his life where he Chuck spoke somewhat cryptically about it, but he left it to people to put the pieces together. Also, on Mayhem, yeah that was the textbook definition of devil music and they were really about that shit. Few bands that bore that stigma even at the time could say they went as far as Mayhem.

    Hold up man you getting it all mixed up man. Yes some of what you are saying is true. But don't say that people was excited about DRAKES house getting shot up. What you are seeing with the Kendrick vs DRAKE Beef Is a confluence of emotions. Kendrick introduced TRUTH to the masses that were indisputable and now what you are seeing is a reaction, to the mental emotional poison pill that's being rejected. I feel like Black culture can make the most soulful music. Oldtimey music had so much connection and realness to it. Now Black culture has been reduced to only killing, drugs, sex, and objectifying people. I feel like it's such a trick played on them. They have the ability to make great music that has a real connection to everyone. Each culture/race has strong points and flaws. The music industry has exploited some flaws and made us think that the flaws are good. For the most part rap music is just an ego stroke now. It isnt so much about storytelling. Childish Gambino feels like he is really exploring the more soulful side in recent years and it is refreshing to hear. Anderson Paak is also doing a similar thing. The beats are full and thought out.

      Well im kind of conflicted here. Is this video saying that gambino is hiding this in here... because i feel like youre not crazy, i think he did this on purpose. This is America was full of stuff like this, as is Atlanta. He does this, openly as artistic criticism of the black experience. It's like... his ststed goal, its a lot like Jordan Peele movies.

    I get what you're saying, but if you actually look at record sales the top-selling rap artists don't preach violence , J. Cole, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar. Also rap sales are declining cuz of exactly what you mentioned the lack of substance in the music. I think the gangster rap approach is the easiest path to follow so alot of artist do so. i don't think it has nothing to do with the labels. Labels are not picking theses dudes up until they are successful in the streets by then they've already broadcasted their message and just continue to do so on the main stage. We have to take accountability as a community. Labels are nothing but investors.

    • @AJUMUSICGROUP
      @AJUMUSICGROUP  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      that's probably also partially because most of the fans of "the big 3" are far removed from any sort of street politics or deal with the possibility of violence popping off daily. It's not just teens and street cats listening. So many women, teeny boppers, college kids, middle-aged men, yuppie hipsters, ordinary joes, etc.

That girl may lose her father to drugs thus continuing the cycle of lost fatherless children

I get the message and while I hate what happens in the music industry to black artists and the listeners, I think this is such important music/video. I wouldn't sing along with it and it's not really made for the radio IMO. It's a piece of art to be watched and understood. That's why I "love it". But the difference is Johnny never mentioned the man’s name he shot, hes just telling a story, & he was never locked up in Folsom. Homicide in hip-hop is at a disgustingly high rate. Not just from the fans, but from the actual rappers themselves, actually shooting other rappers.

    Great video! , So I'm on both side of this cause I'm more on a Andre3000 side of things , meaning I listen to more music like this and different. When it came to this song , childish gambino is on point with the visual all around. The Hood is starting to change just it's to far gone cause people that hear this song that's in the hood not going to play it they more of the BigBoi side of music. It's going to be very hard to even get the hood out of this mentality just because alot of them are broke,they only know fast money ( not all but most ) and its always going to be some hood negative song that goes big cause no one ever say they tired of this type of music in the hood. Its going to have to be very Popular in the hood for them to stop listening to the negative music and to get my black people on the right track in life but once they see a rapper doing big things and a person working 9 to 5 not doing anything great yet , there going on the rapper side.

    The corrido and outlaw country have similar attacks or storytelling elements, usually no definitive specifics. But beefs, crimes, and the like have been part ballads for centuries. Mozart was hated by Salieri, and Johnny Cash shot a man just to watch him die. Doesn't make Glover's message less true or valid but the situation is not unique just current
