To take full advantage of the light rail, the areas around the station should be zoned for higher densities, though I would still prefer zoning to not be a thing and for builders to build freely.

Much better than in Raleigh, people in Raleigh prefer to drive than take any kind of transit. Way behind the times, even if Raleigh gets light rail system like Charlotte it would be Years before we can see any progress, Sad isn't it.

Gavin Production I do hope so, or just a perception that I get from people in Raleigh whenever light rail becomes a topic. Some negative some positive, If and when light rail becomes a reality in Raleigh or in the Triangle, I would ride it to work and keep my car at home.

redcat900 there just scared and because of that traffic is get very cluttered, Raleigh is becoming like LA and the commuter rail is only going from Raleigh to Durham connecting the airport to. There will be no line specifically for Raleigh like the blue line there in the Queen City. I've been criticize there pan just for that, just one line, for God sake.

Gavin Production I have been saying that myself, that Raleigh traffic will be like LA or NYC after a while if NC improves their infrastructure in Raleigh, or even the Triangle for that matter. In my opinion, Light Rail system for the triangle will only provide better transportation for the Triangle area.
