Anyone know if the Herman Miller Aeon is worth it? Because I got a knockoff and found that my dining room chair is still more versatile in that I can get into a “proper” upright sitting position or even sit on it like I would a bar stool. The worst part for me is circulation in my thighs getting cut off from the leading edge of the cushion.

@@Subcomandante73 very strange if that's what they are doing, I thought it was going to be the base game for a new product line with expansions like Black Fortress. I mean WH Quest Silver Tower didn't sell out first day and they did a few expansions and extras for that game...

@@e.mailissimo2146 interesting thing I have just remembered from a few years ago regarding GW and launch boxes 'disappearing' from the store. Back when WH Quest Silver Tower was launched it had slow sales, the main box came out and it was on the store for a couple of years and then the second big box for Silver Tower named 'Shadows Over Hammerhal' (the red box) was released; this box lingered on the store for 13 months or so and then just disappeared. Then covertly around 8 months later the 'Shadows Over Hammerhal' suddenly reappeared on the GW website for sale, there was no promotion for a re-launch, nothing (the original WH Quest Silver Tower and all the extras weren't on the GW site no more. Then 4 months later the boxes sold out and it was gone forever. GW is a strange old thing when it comes to stock availability and stock availability transparency and also product life time.
@@e.mailissimo2146 Talking to my local GW store manager he has been told at this time there are no plans on releasing it again and it has been sold out worldwide as far as preorder stock, finding one at a store or online is really the only option.
It is unlikely they will make more as manufacturing is all controlled by a very strict release schedule, if they switch production to make more cursed city it pushes all upcoming releases back, also they love the artificial scarcity, it means when they release the next box game or limited release it will fly off the shelves as people dont want to miss out.

Something that is rarely talked about is how important posture is while painting, hobbying and playing. I’ve done a few tournaments where by the end of the day I could barely stand up because of my back
Agreed! I thought it was relevant to talk about, as you can see that the chairs and table aren't correctly matched here, which is not good for your back.

Almost done with the big chap but not quite.
Better chairs and a good plan with color schemes would have probably gotten farther, although I am not a fast painter. Good attempt though and what is done looks awesome!
Honestly, I don't understand these stressed rushed projects in a certain time limit. Just enjoy and relish and show us how it goes!
Ah we just chilled this one to be honest. Ciara wanted to try painting for ages, so thought we would give it a whirl. Mainly, I just love the models. 😀
The Black Armour on the skellies really works with the red capes.

You should never rush painting! That's why I never get nothing finished though in all honesty.
Haha, I physically can't rush them. The models are too good and I'm far too much of a perfectionist to truly speed paint. 😅 I use these videos as a way of dedicating some time to a project, then finishing it later. 😀

I think we might, that was certainly the plan. Will see how things go..unfortunately, this game ruffled a lot of feathers so not sure on the interest in it atm. But the models are lovely.

Nice dedication! Though I think these challenges are good, I can appreciate the fact that you didn’t want to rush them, and I think that’s the right choice!

Ciara : I'd say a decent chair to sit upon and more of a straight back and considering its your first mammoth attempt - you did an excellent job, so pat on the back or how about a nice soothing soak with a glass of red and before you know it the water will be cold and you will wake from a demanding sleep, while Olly does what he normally does best, paints at his own speed.

I always blame the chair for hobby spine. Lying down on the floor always fixes - and lying on the floor means i usually find that tiny model kit part i lost 6 months previous. Nice work guys!

Just finished putting the box together, every model in this box is great in some way, wish I was a death player so I could use them in regular games.

A for effort! I have mine still gray. Blackstone took me 3 days when I tried powering through it, so I'm intimidated by this set.
Usually when i see other painters take on challenges like this, they don't take basing and zenithal priming as a part of the challenge itself. For some incredible speed painting check out vince venturellas army in 24 hours / army in a week videos if you haven't already!
You got a good start on painting this project. You don't take enough shortcuts in order to achieve the challenge, but hey the stuff you both painted looks great! I loved the skeleton you posted up. Makes me want to paint some myself!
Get a recliner, a small pallet you can keep in your lap and you will be a lot more comfortable, enjoy the painting more and go quicker...now idk how well you could film it lol

If this was not two 12 hours painting sessions then you have not totaled 24 hours each of painting so you still could do it. Well that is how I'm looking at this challenge for the both of you... so maybe go into the second session with a little bit of a better plan.
I have faith in the both of you being able to finish it off with a planned out second 12 hours session. You can do it!

@@BroadswordWargaming The cheek of it! At least it's a noble calling! Re the minis the Ogre and Skeletons are easily my favourites. Class miniatures. You know they are good when you just want them to paint even though I will likely never have cause to use them in a game or army.

Seeing these models for the first time i suddenly want this set ! Cursed City looks like a nice set. I'll have to examine how it works out value for money wise. I'm noticing that you don't get many space marines in the new starter sets for Warhammer 40'K.

As a slow painter, there's no way in hell I would even finish half of these in a day
The skeleton that's close to done looks great , but 12 hours with breaks is not really a grind Imo in the world of minature paiting lol but good try was fun to watch , the more I watch these the more I want to get into airbrushing .
I have done several 24 hour ones previously ha, they're killers.. but didn't want to scare Ciara away forever. 🤣
Hope you two are okay, it takes guts to try something you don't enjoy (like batch painting and doing it fast). And even more to admit defeat. I'd love to see you revisit the models, as the cursed city has a really nice range. Thanks again.
I’m wondering if this wouldn’t be possible if I had two of “myself” doing it in a strict assembly line: basecoats, blacks, metallics, and then the rest. That’s my jam.

What worked for you two, what didn't? It's all a fun learning experience especially with a hansom young man and a beautiful lass.
I work for 30 min and take a five minute break, over and over till the painting is done or I am.
Spend some money on better chairs, that helps more than you realize.

Using your example, I think I'll glue, prime, and zenithal everything in a batch, then take my time one model at a time as I play the game.
I''m not sure how you guys survived hunched over with no back support. It takes different chairs and an adjustable desk for me.
Poor posture makes it rough my man.. you doo have a mega lean going on try to prop your arms up more.. us tall guys either need taller tables or shorter chairs.. you guys did amazing what a good vid

Like I am really salty about that. Had the chance to get one off the website and thought "nah I can buy it maybe for my birthday in July".

What PSI are you airbrushing at to not get any accidental spray on any of the other minis on the table? Thanks!
The models are a little further away than the video shows, but it was something I was cautious of (having done it before 😅). Psi is set to around 22 I think. 😀

YOU are very pretty as well. Now for the real comments Your skills are great. I love what you did to the rat swarms and I would love to ask you to paint my Skaven old school Army. It is rather big and Many models, and as the game is not played that way any more I am having a heck of a time getting motivated to paint them. I also have other projects that take priority, I can see why such a challenge would be difficult to complete. Keep up the great work guys! and see you all next time.

@@wolfie54321 he got real time videos of all the projects on patrion, and yes he do not spend more time then he says he does, he is so fast and to a great level, but he has a grip on color theory like no one i ever seen, so that probely helps a lot. And with the oils, i do that to, switch between them, as long as the acrylic is dry (not cured) its no problem with mineral spirits on it, acrylics are water based and dont react to mineral spirits unless its wet. And thin layers of oils dry fast with the hairdryer and thicker layers dry over night, i have not had any issus with it
@@wolfie54321 he is insanely fast, i am not a great painter but i am okey, and i can do the same stuff as him in about 3 times the time investment. But yeh give it a go, its the only way to become good that i found, Just paint a lot and practice the tings that needs to become better

It's so good. Hunt around, you might be able to find one in a random shop. The models are great.
