I saw that thing rise from the pile of rocks next to me and thought to myself, "Well, shit...This isn't gonna end well". It didn't.

It's that Shadows of the Colossus vibes. There's something satisfying about climbing on top of an enemy and strike its weak point. Lynel is also pretty fun but a lot more stressful and involves less climbing and more running the fuck away.

Here is an easy way to find a stone talus: If you have upgraded stasis, use it in an area of suspicion. if there is a talus, it will show up in yellow. I usually use stasis to find hidden enemies.
Found a Talus in the starting area, near the swamp, only had 10 arrows, boku weapons, and the only "powerful" weapon was the iron hammer. Got it to half health, then got rinsed by its faceplant.

I love how nobody is talking about the GameCube intro being part of the melody, including quite literally the same instrument. Anyway, never played botw but this was an awesome boss in totk.
So I went to Gordon city and saw that the path was filled with monsters so I packed up a ton of fireproof elixir and just climbed through all of the mountains instead of dealing with fire jelly, flame rocks, and spider death robots from hell.
When I got to death mountain the first time, I didn't have any fireproof potions on me. Now, a reasonable person would of just went and gathered the necessary materials for the potion. I'm not a reasonable person. Instead, I decided I would tough it out, and ran my way to goron city, going through my food supplies just to keep myself alive. I was almost completely out of foodstuffs by the time I got there. Imagine my surprise when I found that I couldn't afford the fireproof armor. I had to go sell a lot of my minerals, and, with only about five hearts left, managed to survive intact.
The horns and woodwinds combine really nicely to kind of give an epic but really bright daylight feel. Especially fitting because you can find Talus right outside of the Plateau.

I remember first time I heard this theme. I was chilling, walking through a forest, when suddenly I heard it. And I was like “why do I hear boss music” and I turn around to see a giant fucking rock chasing me, which I had no idea existed. Needless to say, I booked it like hell.
I will never forget my first time seeing a Talus. It was in the Great Plateau, and I was gathering mushrooms. Suddenly the music started bopping and an HP bar appeared. I saved the game, and then started running.

I remember first time I heard this theme. I was chilling, walking through a forest, when suddenly I heard it. And I was like “why do I hear boss music” and I turn around to see a giant fucking rock chasing me, which I had no idea existed. Needless to say, I booked it like hell.
I decided to play brave and climb the damn thing.

I will never forget my first time seeing a Talus. It was in the Great Plateau, and I was gathering mushrooms. Suddenly the music started bopping and an HP bar appeared. I saved the game, and then started running.
