Shouldn't be too much different as the layout is usually the same.the solenoid is just for emissions and not the fueling so shouldn't be any dash alarms ;)
The crankcase breather hose goes back onto the air box. The pair valve hose is left disconnected if you have the plates on place then plug the hole it goes into on the front right of the airbox

+Chris A well as long as the pipes are all vacuum tight nothing. if you remove the valve and it's venting into the air the bike in theory run slightly worse or water and shit get into the pipe an exhaust valve system
HssFlanker7 no question is a nood one.if you tune your bike up you will notice on the over-run it pops and sometimes flames.this is the air from the pair valve helping burn off excess fuel.so by blocking it off it stops the majority of this pops.but if like me you put on a power commander the pair valve gives false air/fuel ratio mix when on the dyno.if the dyno guy is worth the money he will clamp the hoses off or if you do a dyno check every other yr you do this so it saves lifting the tank to clamp the hoses for your dyno run.hope this helps ;)
I'm about to get a HM QS. When I'm searching for an instruction. I came across this nice video of how to take off the intake box. Great thanks man. Since I have to get this far into the bike. I guess I will just add the plate as well. However, I have 2 questions. First, what happen to the plug that went to the pair vale? Should I just leave it unplug? Second, How to get the rubber cover back to place? From STG's video, the edge of the cover seem to tuck under the air inlet on both side?
Yeah the plug stays unplugged , doesn't show any alarms as its just a signal to open after a quarter throttle opening and a not monitored sensor.the rubber sheet thing under the airbox I assume you are talking about? If so you will see its tucked in and pinned in a couple of places.its easy put back into place.hope this helps.
848phantom Thanks for the reply. I think I will just zip tie the plug some where and put a tape on it then. For the rubber sheet, I guess I will have to find out myself. Anyway, parts ordered, can't wait to try out the QS : )
put it onto higher quality as was shot with a hd1080 camera so not much else I can do with it ...an only fimed this for a few guys on the blade forum going to do the same mod ;)
Hope its the same on my 14' blade. I want to do this mod next. So leaving the solenoid unplugged will not make the fi light come on??
Shouldn't be too much different as the layout is usually the same.the solenoid is just for emissions and not the fueling so shouldn't be any dash alarms ;)
Thank you my good sir. This bike is much more beastly than my previous 06 blade
Do you just leave the vaccum port on the valve cover open or does it hook back up to something
Are you talking about the vacuum line that supplies the pair valve from the airbox?
The crankcase breather hose goes back onto the air box. The pair valve hose is left disconnected if you have the plates on place then plug the hole it goes into on the front right of the airbox

Any issues with the check-engine light coming on in the dash?
no it won't give you any alarms at all ;)
+848phantom Thanks man!
+r6erik no sweat, if you haven't already fit a power commander, unleashes the proper power of these blades.without them they are too tame lol
Hi.. Do you know what problems might cause if this valve is damaged?
as in venting or not working?
Exactly.. let's say is not working at all.. what happens then?
+Chris A well as long as the pipes are all vacuum tight nothing. if you remove the valve and it's venting into the air the bike in theory run slightly worse or water and shit get into the pipe an exhaust valve system
Thanks.. Will take the bike to the workshop and start checking
+Chris why what's happening?
hi im going to ask a noob question. what is this mod for?
HssFlanker7 no question is a nood one.if you tune your bike up you will
notice on the over-run it pops and sometimes flames.this is the air from the

of this pops.but if like me you put on a power commander the pair valve gives

848phantom thanks bro.. helps me alot
Anytime mate ;)

***** I'm sure you will have some fun with the QS.doing a reverse shift mod is a good idea with them too
848phantom I never try reverse shift mod before, but will try. I heard I need to shift hard and positive from 1st to 2nd on some QS. This will help.
***** ill not lie it will take a few days to get used to but once you do you won't go back to conventional
I meant that the jerkiness and Gen X style of vid is annoying.
lol okay, well as I said was only really for a few mates on a forum. just made it public haha
If that's the ones thinking of its easy done
Yeah a cup of coffee charge lol
cheers ;)
Hmmm, sorry but the video quality is pretty poor.
put it onto higher quality as was shot with a hd1080 camera so not much else I can do with it ...an only fimed this for a few guys on the blade forum going to do the same mod ;)
I'm dizzy.
lol
