I'm 43 years old and I turned 43 in July I also got saved at the first of July 2021 and baptized 2 weeks later and I listen to this song daily and it still brings tears to my eyes knowing that the lord loves me the way he does being the sinner that I was he never gave up on me thank you Lord Jesus the song still brings tears to my eyes I listen to it daily it really helps thank you Jesus amen

Saw the Oak Ridge Boys in 1969. Their bus drove up to the college student center and out step 4 clean cut all done up and in suits. That's the first time I actually heard old gospel music.
This was my granny’s favorite song. I can still hear her singing it, very loud and off key. And in a Church of Christ, with no piano, everybody heard her singing it. She didn’t care. She was singing to her God. And y’all were just eavesdropping. I would give everything I own to hear her sing it again. And one day I will.
The only thing wrong with this video is that you can only leave one thumbs up and it is also too short.
Yes love the oak ridge boys my dad had the first 1's of all of them.my dad & me & him he would play his guitar. back when I was 16 when I got to live with him for awhile we would listen to the album's & the new 1's my dad & mama were Christian gospel music singer's but mama didn't sing in my dad's side of the family but they traveled everywhere because my dad's side sang so good from here & different states she was pregnant with me & they went to Cleveland Georgia to sing & most of my mama side ownes half of Cleveland Georgie the Westmoreland my mama was listen in to this woman in the choir & she said that the woman sung like & angle so after the service was out my mama went up to her & asked the woman & completed her on her voice & mama asked her what her name was & she said evonne & that's my middle name my mama side of the family sang to all 7 brothers & 2 sister & the my uncles & mama & aunts sang so beautiful & they played every kind of musical instruments & my dad's side to. & my dad gave me the my nick name after Elvira .the good old day's of getting family together & singing, praying & thanking our King father God for the blessings praise God hallelujah; & then eating. My dad loved this music so much... and I do, too. The music we hear in church for Praise and worship is great, but there's just something wonderful about old-style Southern Gospel. I think it's great for the soul.😃
