You could use the longer one on the kitchen table to hold rolls and loaves for dinner. Even make some for holding silverware, etc. Color coordinate with the holidays, seasons or your kitchen. Thanks for the video. It looks so easy.
Love the different sizes you made. I have made a couple years ago. Tried with fabric, did not work out for me. My hands are crippled up, then I just thought what about using 1/2” zipper taper ?? Or ? That would hold fabric down until you ( I ) could sew that row! Ideas 💡
Very mesmerizing!! Love the first one you made on this tutorial. Very useful size. Thanks so much for sharing. I may have to bring out my Brother Beast just for the zigzag feature. It’s so hard for me to sew on anything but a Juki anymore. 😜 have a terrific weekend!
Love these. I have wanted to make one for a long time. I like the idea of using less expensive fabric. I don’t think it would make a lot of difference in the bowl as long as the colors are nice. Great tutorial.
I love those bowls so much , I have to made a few , they are so cute very practical for those small things or even like you said the rulers I have a ton of those as well. I really love the colors you used to you always make everything look so pretty thank you so much for doing that tutorial for us. This is great.😊
@judyzeigler3980 love to see what you've been making- and what you store into them! The one that sits on my sewing table is kind of a Junk Drawer...until it shows in a video, 😆
Wall hanging is one I made it several years ago, before I was filming for TH-cam. Here is the pattern. How are you sewing and catching both sides of the rope with a straight stitch machine? I would love if your DX 7 is both a straight stitch and zig zag. Wishful thinking 😊
I sewed the X across the middle of my spiral on the straight stitch machine. The middle is hard to start with a zigzag for me. Then I moved to the DX7 to do the zigzag part :)
Yah rope! The mountain thread co is in Boone. They sell rope. They had to close the store to in person but are taking online orders ❤ if anyone wants to support them😊

I love your video and instructions for making the rope bowls. I am definitely going to try making one. Also what is the pattern of the Halloween design on your design board. I couldn’t find it anywhere. Is it a Bertie design by Bonnie Sullivan? Thank you for all your inspiring videos. Love them
I just saw on your spooky box reveal where you placed a link for the sewing machine pattern. Thank you so much. They do have a pattern kit this year but yours is soooo very cute. Love your channel.
Did you starch beforehand? I just wondered if starchy strips would help with the body stiffness of the bowl. I’ve never used that trial magic so I’m anxious to hear if you like it. A long time ago on braided bowls, we used stiffy.
I did, but I didn't want to recommend it incase of bugs etc. I'll check out the product you mentioned. Where did you get it? I'm almost thinking watered down glue might work too.
I cut mine to 1.5 inch, however, I'm about to do one with strings! I think this is the perfect scrap buster for those skinny things! Even the raw edges!!
Here you go! I have several of these, they stack well and hold anything smaller than a 12 inch block. I wish i had them in 16 or 18s though! tinyurl.com/Plastic-12x12

This is a really good tutorial. Looking forward to more.

I want to make this. Oh, you are a homeschool mother!!! Bless you!!!
Aww thanks! We have a lot of fun with homeschooling, but I'm sure sometime the kids chattering makes it into the videos in the background:)
What a cute and fun project! I love all the different sizes and shapes you presented for such a variety of uses.
@@LindaEvans-ct4ew glad you liked them!

You should! I stash fabric in every room of my house! It's supposed to keep me organized....but.... ;)
Why did I catching myself tilting my iPad as you were angling your bowl?! 😂 your making me want to try this!

I used glue sticks to stick the ends of fabric and could make long lengths without any unwinding. I also used a lot of skinny scraps too.
Great idea!!
Thanks for doing the tutorial! I know I asked a few times 😂
@deidrapowell8762 sorry I was so slow on it! Life is been really busy!
Thank you for doing this tutorial!! I will try it, soon, in the throws of Halloween!! 🎃 LOL

On the oblong bowl you didn’t show how to join the ropes together.
I just cut the angle and the lined them up and wrapped them together. You could guess them a little too if you need some help.:)
Walmart said they wouldnt be carrying their bolt of fabrics, only charms ..
@dorothygracy1953 oh no!
Didn’t really see how you sliced them together
I just cut on the diagonal and then wound together. As long as it's not lumpy you should be good!
