Martha I happen to be watching other shows as I’m a big TH-camr, and I found your show. I have always been interested in baskets and there you were and I know the Lord directed me to you because as a believer, You are too. Thank you, you made this look easy, back in the 80s I sewed most everything I had a business where I made exercise wear and bathing suits. I also made other things like costumes and wedding dresses bridesmaids dresses, etc.. it’s been so long though since the last thing was my daughter’s wedding dress back in 2014 isn’t that sad… But I am going to look into doing this. Thanks to you. Blessings all over you. PS I did subscribe and like as well
Your teaching is so stress free. You are truly gifted. I love these bowls! I haven't seen a bowl like this in a while and never a tutorial on making one, so thank you. But what I love the most is when you finished you thanked the Lord so naturally. 🙌
Lovely! These would make great gifts - thank you for this instruction. Very clear and easy to understand. Good amount of demo, not to much talking. Thanks for not putting music in the backround! Bless you.
What a great idea for fabric scraps. These would make great little gifts. Thank you for sharing this. God bless. Hope to see more crafts from you. You are a great teacher. The Lord has truly given you a gift for teaching.
Just beautiful. I am just beginning this journey and plan to hand stitch but I learned alot from you and later I may make a few of these. They are so lovely. Thank you for sharing.
I love them, thank you for the idea! Also, I just want to tell you that I love your video. You were to the point and explained it very well, without wasting a lot of time with jibber jabber, like a lot of others do! Thank you!
Thelma writes: Hello Martha, I am a new subscriber. I, too, thank the Lord for having found you. What a lovely bowl you have shared in how to make them, I love them! I have watched other videos quite a while ago and lo and behold, here you are!. A refreshing inspiration for my morning here in Wellington, New Zealand. Thank you Martha for sharing and I thank the Lord for you. Blessings to you, Thelma.
I’ve been making wrapped rope tote bags and bowls for years but never thought to wrap the rim with ribbon. Thanks for the inspiration! You’re a great teacher!!
I've seen plenty of TH-cam videos on how to make rope blows & have made a few but never seen anyone clip the inner core at the start &end of the bowl. Thank you so much I love it, it will make it alot easier! Happy Sewing ♥️ 🧵 🪡
I've warched several other videos of this type and yours is by far the best! I think the part of pulling out the center core at the beginning and end is a wonderful tip - it makes those bends much easier. I love your designs, they are so delightful. If I start now, I can get ahead of my next year's gift list! Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring us!
Thank you so much for a tutorial that is easy to see and understand. You are a wonderful teacher. I loved how you explained each step to make these bowls. Also love how you are grateful to the Lord for your talent. God bless.💕💕
This is the first time I have seen you on You Tube and I am enjoying it very much. It was a breath of fresh air to hear to speak about how the Lord has given you talent and now you want to share back. So nice to give the Lord all the credit. Amen Sister , I will keep enjoying your channel.😊
Thank God I scrolled to a stop on your tutorial. I was just a bout to give up on making baskets. I’ve made 2 and I’m not really happy with either one. So I was just going to make a set of coaster’s and call it quits. Thank you for your great tips. Very pretty baskets. ❤ God bless you
Thank you for giving me encouragement to not give up. I’ve now made 12 baskets and I really am having fun coming up with different designs. I have a question though. Is there anything to do to keep my fabric from raveling as I’m wrapping the cord?
I'm so proud of you for trying again! If you use batik fabric you won't have any fraying edges. If you don't like the frayed edges you can fold over the edge of the fabric as you wrap it. I can show you how to do this with my Christmas basket with paracord tutorial. I demonstrate that technique about 14 minutes into the video. @@sandrahamilton-kb1yu
Thank you Martha for the tutorial. Your project is very clever accompanied by excellent step-by- step explanations. I'm always on the lookout for great gift ideas since I prefer to make my gifts as opposed to buying something.
I have been a very long term viewer and always enjoyed the glimpse into an English country woman's day to day life. Every one needs to make a living and that feels like the choice you have made. Freeing up time for your health but also devoting more time to Patreon. You are not the only person who made the start on You Tube and then moved on to Patreon platform. I wish you well and good health always.
I remember making something like these baskets back in the 70’s only we didn’t sew them. Only used hot glue. I think the finishing touches make yours so beautiful and complete!
That is really cool, thank you so much for sharing & for thanking God for your talent. It's so good to see people in this day & age still doing that in public forums such as this. Very well done. 💕✝️💕
Well I just discovered your channel. Today I started my first bowl. I am so excited to try new things and this is great to do in the motorhome. Thank You
I have seen other videos regarding these bowls. However, you have taught us a few things that others have not. You are a gifted teacher❤❤ thank you for sharing 😃
Dear Martha, these baskets are real wow. So good that oI don' t have words for it. This shows your experience as a quilter. Please keep teaching simple things like this also. Gita

I’m new to this idea but there are beautiful. I love how you explain everything in a calming way. I enjoyed watching. I will subscribe. I love how you thank the Lord on a finished project.
@MarthaMajor~ Your video is blessing! I've watched many other videos on how to make rope bowls and learned bits and pieces from each. Your tutorial however, has perfectly condensed and clarified the instructions in a way that takes the guess work out of it for me. The tips and tricks you provide throughout are so helpful! I finally feel confident enough to dive in and make some of these beautiful bowls! I love how you used 1/8" ribbon around the top edge of the your bowls Martha, it really gives them a polished look! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your talent with us! God Bless ~~Christy~~
excellent video!!! I like how well you explain what you are doing, step by step. Also, the baskets are beautiful!! I have never seen anything like them.
