I love watching you do these tutorials. I have only done the first one! Where do you get the little alphabet stickers you use. I've just been writing letters on little post it notes. It works, but I'd like to get some stickers. That'll be easier, lol.

Those papers look like they make more work. I dont know if i will invest in the papers. I want to make this quilt but i have to rethink some things. Great video tho

This is a great FPP tutorial and I am glad you chose to do the new pad! I have FPP a long time and leave the center paper on until I sew them all together! Doing this cuts down on it getting all wonky!

I haven’t started my Pieceful Baskets yet either. When starching your yardage for piecing, how big of cuts do you starch at once? Should I do it in half yard sections or full yards? I’m just curious how everyone else does it.

I have yet to start my Pieceful Baskets quilt. I had a few WIPs that needed finishing before starting on this quilt. Thanks for the great demos of these blocks. Btw, after seeing your cute Lori Holt floral magnetic pin cup had to buy one, too.

I love the needle up/down feature. I bought a new sewing machine in 2022, and upgraded again last month. I had machines built in 1976 and the early 1990s, respectively. What a joy it has been to sew with a modernized sewing machine.

I love the border on this. What colour was it? Also, I did make this but it ended up 1inch smaller than in the pattern. Everything fit together perfectly but it was 1 inch smaller in both width and height. I can’t figure out why.

Question: I never see you change the needle or thread. What size needle and thread do you use and what brand? Also, how often do you clean your machine? And also how often do you send it in to be deep cleaned?

Will check the site periodically. The sale prices on the precuts look great if you can get them before they are gone. I do wonder however why almost all of the Yardage is listed as "WAS $16". That is not the price of those same yardage brands at several of my local quilt stores OR on Etsy or MSQC or FQ online. Yes, Tula, Tilda, and a few others might be $16/yd on average now, but When I see that on every listing, it makes me think they inflated the price so that the discount "looks" more attractive.

I agree about their threads. I use it al almost exclusively for my piecing. My machine really likes it better than Aurifil.

I love this quilt and I especially love the fabrics you chose. Is it from a particular fat quarter bundle?

The video was indeed great step by step instructions. I am just not a fan of paper piecing. I think there is a lot of fabric waste especially considering 3 charm packs are used for just 1 table runner. In addition all the handling and re-handling and the added hassle of all the paper removal I personally find messy & time consuming in the construction of one 4” star block. That’s just me though. Patience is a virtue.
