Your videos are SUPER helpful! Now, as a PH.D in hard sciences with an adult child who is slowly recovering from some serious health issues, I've done a ton of research into glyphosate/roundup. I strongly recommend you don't go near the stuff nor ever use it on your property. If you want, look into it beyond what any agency or company might say. My state of residence had a team in the past trying to get it banned here for good reason. Gut microbiome is suppressed (makes sense, think what it is used for). This can lead to autism in young humans, and many other serious issues for any age group. I teach at the college level and was a national scholar as a young man, so I don't say this lightly. Anyhow thanks again Bobby, YOU deserve national recognition yourself for all your contributions. Bravo!
Thank you for taking the time to share your comment. I’m so happy you find the videos helpful. I agree glyphosate is a product that has the potential to cause real damage. I don’t recommend using glyphosate without educating yourself first. I commend you on your research. It’s not for everyone and doesn’t apply to all situations. I certainly would never debate just anyone using it. While glyphosate’s safety remains a topic of ongoing research and debate, its use should adhere strictly to recommended guidelines to mitigate potential risks to human health and the environment. As a young man, I was state, certified in pesticide application from MSU. I learned how to use the herbicide as well as many other pesticides to ensure healthy turf, trees, shrubs. Not everyone has this knowledge but can still buy it and use it freely. Which is dangerous. Let’s face it, most people don’t read the labeling or use it according to their guidelines. I think there’s a very real danger to just anyone using it without educating yourself in the hazards. That said, I don’t recommend using glyphosate on vegetables and growing food. As you know, Glyphosate is a non selective herbicide that helps control weeds but in my opinion should be labeled “Termination/poison”Which should be used strictly for termination purposes. Also the half-life is another important factor when replanting. It certainly demands correct calculation and precision when applying and if you have any health concerns at all, you absolutely shouldn’t use it. There’s several ways to prep soil and grow food in raised beds garden plots and greenhouses without using herbicides.
Why don't you make your initial cut for the bottom longer to incorporate both sides, then all you have to do is fold up two of the four sides to shape it. Use a board for a nice, clean bend. You didn't have to cut anything, you didn't have to trim wires, you didn't have to join it together for half of the sides. That's what I would think and do. Or am I not seeing something? Thanks!
That way works too. We did a few builds like that in the past. If your looking to save on cuts the video below is a cage build that will save you time and cuts. th-cam.com/video/hSdZb9Q4J9c/w-d-xo.html But when piecing together the way we did in the video the structural integrity is strong with less sagging and roundness to the build.
@@TheRabbitryCenter I was going to ask if you had tried one where the sides were all one piece! And look, you have a video for me! Thank you, I benefit from all of your experience.
Our first builds were done that way. They “sagged” on the bottom and did not hold their shape. The bottom is now cut the shape but our sides are wrapped (so 2 sides folded and attached to each other) and the floor is attached all the way around as well as the ceiling.
Thank you! Keep those videos coming I found your bee keeping channel as well will subscribe you're great in explaining stuff. Thanks again and God bless!
@TheRabbitryCenter Great, thanks.for the prompt response! Keep those videos coming you're great in explaining things. I found your bee channel as well, great content sir! That's my hope for the near future. I am subscribing. Thank you and God bless.
How do you deal with mosquitoes? We've had to make screen covers. The rabbits were being tormented and their noses were scratched up and bleeding. Nice cage. Ours is more elaborate!
Do you ever have issues with rat snakes up there? I lost one to a rat snake down here in SC, luckily by guardian dog heard the disturbance and alerted me to the problem before it got worse.
No sir, I’m glad to say in Michigan we don’t have snakes big enough to eat our rabbits and using hardware cloth wire instead of 2”x4” cage wire is all we need to prevent predators from entering the extended cage runs. It’s nice to have a dog on the property.
@@TheRabbitryCenter thanks for the reply! I used to live in the mitten but left to avoid the winter, get to deal with snakes now 😂 Baxter has earned his keep for sure, dealing with two rat snakes and a raccoon already. Saved a litter of rabbits and a flock of chickens. Loving all your videos. Thanks for what you're doing!
We don't have any rabbit tractor videos. Matter fact, I'll build one, film it and upload it in the near future. Thanks for commenting. You may like this video. But not a tractor just an extended cage system. th-cam.com/video/XsugHQxiGRA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RXEDVzJfNEtq3GHC
Probably the most complicated thing I have built in my life was Lego sets and they were horrible. So my skill level has been established.. lol This build would take me hours and would come out horrible Honestly I’m just looking to build a floor. Any suggestions for total noobs like me?

It's not a popular request. In most cases, folks aren't concerned. Personally I find it fascinating. We do have three videos on our course specifically dedicated to help folks understand genetics. Is there something specific with rabbit genetics you'd like me to cover? Id be glad to make a TH-cam video on it. Thanks!

Great video! Can 1 x 2 inch 14 gauge be used for the body? Bottom part I would make from 1 x 1/2 14 gauge
Thanks
That’s right 1”x 2” 14G for the sides is standard thanks for asking

Hi..... Thank you for showing your video 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 👕🐇🏡🎥👍👍👍
You're very welcome. Thanks for watching!
How do you deal with mosquitoes? We've had to make screen covers. The rabbits were being tormented and their noses were scratched up and bleeding.
Nice cage. Ours is more elaborate!
We use mosquito dunks and spray cutter repellent around a Rabbitry hutch. We also provide hide boxes, and Kindling totes for rabbits to escape to.
@@TheRabbitryCenter thanks! I'll have to find out what those are!
I'm assuming you show the hide boxes in another video.
@@KateMedland you bet , type the rabbitry center hide box in the TH-cam search
Can you do a video on your water for your cages
You bet here you go th-cam.com/video/raQdqC5-LNc/w-d-xo.html

I think you for touching on all the things I want to know l starting over again thank you
you’re very welcome, best of luck!
Wow that cage looks great, I will definitely try making one..... can that cage be hung
Absolutely Id purchase some 14 gauge galvanized wire and loop. The corners of the cage into an eyelet screwed into your framing.
I browsed your videos play lists and don’t see any rabbit tractors did I miss them?

Nice! Thanks
Thanks for watching!
The thing is rabbits don't get out and run around for a few weeks. So not an issue. More a control for rats coming to eat the baby rabbits.
Thanks for sharing!
Is this something I can make and sell?
absolutely!
Very cool and efficient. Is that cage door on top?
It’s on the side but you can put it on the top if you had the room
Why don’t you do more videos on rabbit genetics, can you do videos on showman ship and standards of breeds?
