Love my Hurrache Control, love the 14mm which allows fuller swings without overpowering to ball. Great job defining the play style for each paddle. Super company, gives a discount for military personnel. Cannot beat the value.
I have both. The only difference is one is carbon fiberglass and the other is carbon kevlar (and looks a bit blue-ish). The kevlar (control) has significantly less pop and power but much more control when hitting hard and at net. After a few months, it will also break in a bit and hit quite a bit harder. The carbon fiber glass version (all black, "control+") is a bit too poppy for me but my softer hitting 105lb GF plays very well with it. I like power, but I do not like pop at the net so Im still using the Kevlar 16mm Huarache. I also own their YSF which is a great paddle too if you like elongated shapes. I find it too slow at the net for doubles but its a great singles paddle.
My Control + has been a game changer for me. Having a surgery repaired shoulder it's definitely the paddle for by far. Not mention the quality/cost ratio is unbeatable. Great video!
Nicely said! My favorite paddle so far! After the break-in period, I had to place 3gr at the 4 & 8 positions to reduce pop and increase a little bit the sweet spot. My shoulder loves it! ;)
Enjoyed the review. I have the Hurache Control + and love the extra power it gives me during my serves and drives. It did take me sometime to get the feel to get better control
Thanks for the review. I have been using the control + carbon fiber version for a month now. I agree it has too much power for my needs and less control and smallish sweat spot. I ordered this paddle after your review using your discount code. I hope this makes the difference I need.Thanks.
I hope you love the Control! It definitely has an adjustment period coming from the Control+ but once you get it, it’s fantastic. Appreciate you using my code 😃
Great review, Ryan. I appreciate you talking about the relationship of personal playing styles and the paddle construction. I also like how you further emphasized your points by comparing and contrasting how these paddles affected the way you and your mother play. The other reviewers put so much emphasis on stats: swing weight, twist weight, spin, and driving speed-which, while important, I (personally) found were not translated effectively in practical terms.
@@flippinrisky thanks so much for the comment! I try to relate paddle feeling vs stats as I find it matters to more people when making a purchasing decision
Great video, couldn't believe you hadn't posted before! I have the Control shipping in this week and as a tennis player who generates plenty of power myself, I would agree with you that it sounds like a great fit. I have the Control+ but found it to be relatively low on spin and that extra pop lead to less confidence to swing out.
You should really enjoy the Control! Definitely has a different feel which takes a bit of getting used to but overall a much more confidence-inspiring paddle
Wow you and I have the same conclusions. I have a tennis background too and I have the Control + carbon face and it has to much power for me and less spin then I want and the pop is to much. Please update your findings. Thanks.
@@braddevendorf9901 Hey Brad, been playing with the Kevlar 16 for about 10 hrs and I love it so far. The lower pop gives me so much more confidence in resets and kitchen rallies without feeling under powered. The spin is better than the Control+ too, much better dwell time. I asked the owner for a lighter one as well so mine is plenty fast in hands battles. Very satisfied.
Very interesting point about shoulder fatigue. I also play the Franklin signature right now and am consider an upgrade to the control. Did you find that transition easy or a notable improvement?
Just a quick question. Do they have the control paddle but in the black. Not the power one but the control one. And I will definitely be checking out this store. Thanks for the video.

@@RYE3DPrinting Got my 14. Day 1 was an adjustment day coming from a Loco. Had trouble getting my drops and resets down. Weight/balance feels light/agile. Love the improved plow thru/power on my ground strokes. Day 2 was MUCH better with drops and resets. Perhaps the Kevlar surface broke in… perhaps I’ve adjusted. Dunno. Felt really really good. I likey. You’ll prolly have a much better perspective as you’ve played with the other paddles. Hope this helps. 🤙🏼
@@RickGomez707 appreciate the update! I’ve definitely noticed the Kevlar face plays better after a week or two of use, gets much more consistent. Will be interesting to see if the same happens with the 14mm for you!
@@PlayVoleHey! It seemed like it took me a minute to break the paddle in. I was new to the elongated shape, so I was learning a different feel with the shape and Kevlar surface. My buddy tried my paddle and immediately asked to buy it off me… so I did. For him, he loves it as he’s a power/elongated paddle guy who loves the increased control lighter weight, and fast hands he has with it. I’m currently using a FatBoy… which I LOVE. I see that 11Six is venturing into the same shape with the Monarch. Hope this helps!
I bought the Kevlar version and used it today for the first time. Many mishits, not great control, very little power. Moderate spin. I'm not very happy with it.

I have the + and can't get used to the pop, dinks are not as controllable as I want.
Just ordered the Control non + and hoping for better control.

You can definitely buy them online from other stores in Canada
Which stores? I looked around previously and didn’t see anyone selling 11Six24 paddles
Very interesting point about shoulder fatigue. I also play the Franklin signature right now and am consider an upgrade to the control. Did you find that transition easy or a notable improvement?
It was a noticeable improvement over the Franklin. Franklin feels very dead comparatively.
@ @ Yeah I agree. I ended up getting the monarch jellybean. Night and day compared to the Franklin. More much forgiving and fun to play with

To my knowledge the Control only comes in grey while the Control+ is all black.

Unfortunately I only have the 16mm version so can’t personally comment on what the 14mm plays like.

Would lead tape help the Hurache control + with the sweet spot?
Yes, same as any other paddle.
