Playing on ice is straight dedication. Respect.
Don't think that was ice
@@RobVanDam1591 rewatch the video
Ahaha thank you! Not the smartest move but pretty fun.
I’ve been using the J2K for about 1.5 months now. It’s amazing.
Yes it is!
Great review and insight Luca! Can’t wait to hear your full review on the Shogun! 🙌🥊
Thank you! Coming very soon!
Nice review. I think another great paddle to add to this for power, pop, and control would be the Hudef Viva Pro Gen 3.
I wonder how it compares to the Shogun.
We don't carry them, unfortunately.
Great video, I like the faster pacing and it’s straight to the point. Subbing for more like this
Thank you!
I would love to get your thoughts on the Mark Pickleball paddles in this grouping.
Same with engage pursuit pros. Pickleball effect states they are some of the best too
I believe we reached out to Mark and are waiting for an answer.
Can you please do a review on the new Wilson blaze tour 16?? Including maybe some of the playability stats, rpm, twist weight, balance weight, etc…
I'll talk about it in the next tier list but I don't think we'll have time for a full review.
What brand is the teal grip tape? Thanks
Thoughts on the Hyperion c2 as an alternative or double black diamond?
I play with both in my bag and just from my personal opinion i rarely pick my double black diamond up. The c2 just feels incredible to me becuase of the power I have with it while still having control
@@brianstumfolli have one coming in the mail. I can't wait to test it. Gen3 was too fast to drive with control. Great for fast net battles though.
It's my alternative paddle of choice to the Gen3. Switching from one session to the next I hardly noticed a difference - just a bit of missing trampoline power which at my level isn't really making much of a difference, and I felt like if it did I had a bit of an unfair advantage.
Definitely a great one. It's one of the most powerful Gen 2s.
Kudos for another insightful review! One surprise was your observation that the Nova is more powerful than the FX. I mained the R1 Pulsar for around 4 months and didn't move to the Nova because of its lack of pop and power. After going thru several different paddles, I'm now maining the R2FX. I can't compare it to the Nova because it's been too long, but the R2FX definitely has pop and power. More than my recollection of the Nova. My perspective is from doubles play. Is your observation principally based on singles play, where groundstrokes are the predominate stroke giving one better insight on how much power a paddle has?
Yes, I primarily played singles and couldn't help but feel that that softness was more noticeable even on groundstrokes. I'd like to test them again because I know this is inconsistent with John Kew's findings but I always felt I had a bit more pushback on my shots with the Nova.
Awesome video. Can you do a review for Hudef Viva Pro Gen 3?
Unfortunately, we don't carry them.
Hard core man. Is that snow? Break out the shovels! Maybe review some shovel reviews each spring? LOL....
Lol best pickleball shovels 😭
Surprised you left out the best replacement paddles for the Joola gen 3 paddles...... the PaddleTek Bantam TKO-C and TKO-CX. I bought a TKO-CX 14.3 mm to replace my Perseus 3 16 mm and I am loving it.
Does it hit nearly as hard in your opinion?
@@TCW1977 Definitely harder than the Selkirk.
Hopefully we're bringing them in soon!
Still think Joola G3 will be approved and back for sale. They have a good case !
Luca the 🐐 back at it again with the best content on TH-cam. Love that you always specify ball feel which is so important. Curious which paddle (besides the original nova’s) is your favorite for true ball feel?
Thank you! Honestly, the J2K is up there right now. Super excited to try the J7K
J2k is such a good all around paddle
Absolutely!
Any suggestions to replace the Anna Bright Gen 3? The power and pop were great and nice sweet spot…
I have both the original and the Gen3 Anna, and the original is not that much different IMO. The floating core is highly exaggerated -- I don't know of any injury or damage in rec play I've been in. Certainly not mine! :). Buy the original Anna and enjoy -- it is pretty unique with the 14mm core -- very poppy in both versions.
Try the Volair Mach 2 Forza!
Great channel
Thank you!
I am guessing that paddles with a longer dwell time or even some flex like a tennis racket are gonna start to become popular.
OM Aero¹ is designed to do exactly that. Has an independent internal tennis frame the carbon face flexes off. Plays as close to a string bed as you can get with a solid face.
I would expect that as well.
What about Gearbox Pro Power Elongated?
My bad, I missed your comments in the beginning
Goes go show how serious pickleball is 😏
I don't see a problem with that
Coming next: aluminum framed paddles
😅
They should also ban 17" paddles
Paint Grit has to go. Shogun has been getting some high praise.
The Shogun is great! Review coming soon...
Stop stating that the Joola Gen 3 paddles are "illegal". No laws are being broken! They simply just cannot be used in USAP sanctioned tournaments, that is it. Words are important, don't feed the irrational and disproportionate vitriol against them.
He means it's illegal to use in sanctioned play. The term dosen't only apply to breaking State or Federal criminal law.
Definition:
What is the full meaning of illegal?
: not according to or authorized by law : unlawful, illicit. also : not sanctioned by official rules (as of a game) illegality. ˌi-li-ˈga-lə-tē noun.
Apparently, you're the stump 😂
I have owned 5 Joola paddles. I will not be buying the Gen 3 and ordered the Shogun 3 weeks ago. The Gen 3 are dangerous with them testing 50% faster than previous Joola paddles. Too many rec players that already hit with no care about where the ball goes or who it hits just wanting to be a banger makes these a liability. Honestly it is a lawsuit for injury waiting to happen with them not being approved and their known issues.
You could also use a tennis racket if you’re not in a USAP sanctioned tournament.
Ok banned, how is that..
@@JB-ys8mj Or an OM Aero¹. Close enough :)
