When out to hit balls again today to see if i can repeat my butt move results. This is the first i found that i can go out and just expect to have consistent positive results. Always struggled with repeating good performances til now. Power, accuracy, flight control and consistency all from 1 fix. Finally found that vein of gold after struggling for years. Thanks!
Christina, wow this is an awesome lesson. First of all you started the video with a little humor, and you had me. If we are not having fun golfing, why are we golfing? Awesome tip, it is only a matter for me to get my body to do what my mind is thinking. Thanks for the tip.
Hi Christina. I saw this video a month ago and had worked on this at home. With my home course still under 2 feet of snow I made it to the lower mainland BC and finally got to put this into practice today. It made a huge difference in my swing and ball contact. Yes, it will take a ton of practice To get the timing down but I can see the difference already. Your videos are phenomenal and look forward to working on the chipping video as well. Thank you!
Love all of your videos that talk about posture and the importance of engaging your glutes! Your tips are super practical! Please come to Western Canada (Alberta) with your camps ❤
Exactly. Many folks don’t realize that this sitting deep is what moves your hips which appears like you’re turning them but you’re not actually trying to turn your hips.
I re-watched this again today. I like your butt videos to reinforce using the glutes. I have a tendency to just use my upper body so you create a good mental image to engage the lower muscles!!! Maybe you have addressed this in another video but .... can you discuess your side bend? Side bend and butt engagement at your impact position is a good visual for me!! Thanks from Canada!!!
Thank you. I was out on the course and I know that I'm standing up out of my posture but I have a hard time staying down. Guess I need a mirror so that I can see myself.
I was playing a few weeks ago and my swing was terrible. No power and inconsistent strikes etc. A few days later I was playing with the same couple of golfers and was hitting the ball solid. I remembered your glute and butt instructions and that was my new mantra for the day. "Engage the Glutes"!!! They were laughing at me when I told them what fixed my swing but I had the last laugh when we walked down the fairway where my ball was and their's were in the trees or water!!!!
Hi Christina, I’ve think your tips are great. I have followed them for years and have recommended many times. I have two concerns: 1. I am a senior golfer and was told to let my right knee straighten in my back swing to get more turn. I used to keep it bent like you do but I’ve been trying this. 2. There are two types of swings today, traditional and the modern rotation swing. It would be great if you pointed out which tip is for what swing type. Looking forward to more tips. Best.
Thanks for this. I'm guilty of not doing this enough. That said, I have a bad lower back. Are there any good modifications I can make to still "go deep" without too much twisting of the lower back ? Or some posture adjustment ?
My question is: do I need to stand further away from the ball or choke up a bit on the shaft to compensate for the lowering of the stance, ( am I lowering the stance when I do this?) When I try this sometimes ( I watched your video on butt to wall) I wind up hitting behind the ball. I hope this makes sense. Thanks for all your posts, keep them coming.
No need to change setup for this. If you are hitting behind typically means your upper body is moving too fast on the transition, or the club's shaft is too vertical (steep) creating a too left swing direction. SWING OUT TO THE RIGHT to help offset.
Many people are not able to execute the two moves and positions due to hip ball socket issues, it is painful for them. Additionally, many amateur golfers are not slender and have a difficult time achieving the two moves. Overall, sound advice to prevent early extension during the downswing.
Hi Christina at age 75 i find the feet together drill gets my old butt moving. Have you done a video on this? I no longer have power failure because I am now effectively not only using my gluts correctly as you say but all the muscles inside my body to pull my club back on my backswing and then pull my club forward on my downswing. I swear I am no longer a pushover when it comes to my golf swing ever again. Cheers 😃⛳️❤️👍🥂
@@MorePars yes and actually I do not do the drill any more as it purpose for me was to simply get my hips rolling; however once i achieve my aim and golf posture posture I find that actually it is the pulling of the club back and then the pulling of the club forward that gets my Gluteus Maximus and all thé muscles inside my body pulling for me in sequence and all together. All the thé bones and joints are meant to do Is act as levers to push our body in the right directions as we are swinging our club. Our brain can only feel a pull or a push; but never both together. I hope you get what I am saying is true. I wish I knew the simplicity of the golf swing 45 years ago. Cheers
you must work out 20 hrs a day...at 66, I have trouble getting out of the chair. This lesson is one not taught by many, and that's too bad, because it is a key component in the swing.
The Butt Move helps you to NOT release the club early. Focus on the Butt Move getting the club to the ball.. As long as you swing through you should no thump the ground.

Great explanation!
Thx

Great video Christina! This is a huge problem in my swing. I will work on this. Thanks

This is the best clue I have not received for a long time. Many Thanks Christina. tried it and it works great....

Thanks Christina. I needed this reminder.
Such a beauty, great swing!
Christina has me focusing on the whole body 😍🔥🔥. Another beautiful lesson - thank you Christina for the tip 👏🏻⛳️
Thanks for the great video.
Glad you liked it!

Love your lessons!!!!!!
Yep, I don't go deep hardly at all. Will work it - Thank You!
Great video. Thanks
I love this video!
Great video!
fantastic lesson, 🤨 👍
Your Butt Moves series is R rated !!!!
This butt move worked. Thank you from Korea.

Christina, you had me at first glute! Great advice to harness à little used power source. Is there an exercise you would suggest, or JUST DO IT ?
Exercises coming soon in future tips stay tuned!

Hi Christina How do I go deep with my glutes without bobbing my head up and down? I love your videos! I learn so much
Loading glutes properly eliminates the bobbing
Beautiful golf setting! Arizona?
Sedona!
Fantastic succinct reminder how not to early extend.
Chest, chest and chest rotation in downswing will do everything.
Would it be detrimental to my swing if I only focus on your glutes?
I recommend this assuming your setup is solid.

That's great. I find feet together makes it a challenge to load glutes but f works for you awesome!

Thanks so much Christine! that is so me don't know how to roll my butts😜
What time of downswing I should extend ? After impact?
Yes, just after. If this is new to you (butt move) extension (hips) well after impact (the feel)
Do i keep both butts back and deep longer till i hit the ball?
Yes exactly! Both butt cheeks stay deep until after the strike
Gorgeous Glutes and great tip!!

But what it you are a player that releases that club too early. I will break my right hand thumping into the ground?
The Butt Move helps you to NOT release the club early. Focus on the Butt Move getting the club to the ball.. As long as you swing through you should no thump the ground.
Christine can you just come and hit the ball for me please?
Butt then you have someone like Bubba who doesn't squat at all!
I will do a tip on this...it's a great topic. Not all players do the butt move the same.
