Finally, Harvey Pennick's MAGIC MOVE explained properly. I knew about the elbow but not the rotation. That's why I was getting stuck and pulling to the left or hooking. THank you so much. Cant wait to be on the range tomorrow.

Hi Christina, i took up golf bout 30 years ago and have gone through several coaches through the years.
Have also been watching and analyzing online instructions for additional tips. Frankly most of their sharings are just part of a wider equation or sum of the parts.
Until I watched your videos. Amazingly, your instructions and demos are simple yet effective. You have made it easy for casual golfers to relate and understand the "Whys" and the "Hows" to fix it their challenges.
You are awesome and I truely appreciate the generous tips and advice!
    Thank You so much!

Wow! That was a great break down! I have a flat swing and I get stuck. The side bend will help me tremendously! Just working on it with no club felt way smoother. I cant wait to add that tip and some others mentioned in this video!

Because of age and Arthritis, I had to change from a one-plane to two-plane (more upright) swing. It's heartening that you also include advice for those of us less likely to get that elbow in front. This is a great channel! You're my new favorite YT golf guru.

Hi Christina, I really believe you just gave me the elusive ‘magic move’. I haven’t actually hit balls yet with it, but I went out in the yard as soon as I finished watching this video of yours about not getting the trail elbow stuck. The key for me is the external shoulder rotation from the top. The path through the grass looks perfect, slightly from the inside, consistently. Thanks, excited about trying it.

My new golf mantra will be "side bend & rotation"!!!! Thank you from Canada for pointing out many of my swing faults. lol I am sure many people have the same issues as you pointed out in this video. Golfing tomorrow as it got warm here and I will try to incorporate this. Also thanks for mentioning Brooke Henderson....a great Canadian golfer!!!!!

I recently locked at a article about hitting full shots with both irons and woods that gave me a feel for the "magic move". When looking at the ball concentrate on a spot 4 inches in front of the ball and and 4 inches to the right of the target line. On the down swing pull the butt end of handle towards that spot. With this move the club will come from the inside and allow the wrist to release. Always had a problem with over the top swing. This changed that.

Your instructions are incredibly clear and well explained. I watched this video twice and I will watch it again....so fundamentally sound. IMO, this video can be used for each club. Thanks.

The move comes naturally for me when I think of skipping a stone, I notice everything gets out of the way for my right arm and I notice my foot work is very natural too…I feel powerful using the stone skipping thought…love your vids thanks!

This was a really helpful explanation. People talk about rotating, amd turning left, but my interpretation of that was always rotating my hips. I never thought of engaging my obliques, or how they too need to rotate. You really do a great job explaining this

Wow, this is the lesson I needed. I played a lot of baseball when I was younger and took up golf about 10 years ago. I have been trying to get rid of the baseball swing forever and realized I didn’t know where to put my trailing arm, or what to do with it. I have been watching your videos and have one of your books and click with your teaching style. This video really helps me, thank you for posting it. A+

Hi Christina great video my trail elbow will never be stuck behind me again. And i am also thrilled you mentioned and pointed at our lead side obliques rotating throughout our downswing and as you know actually stops us at the end of our swing.
But shouldn’t our obliques works together and yet opposite from the other? Would it help then if I started my downswing first with crunching my trail side obliques?
I continue to love reading your new books and will take them on the course this spring. Cheers

Educated hands can cure this as well. Bowing lead wrist at top or on down swing or another way to think is supinating the trail wrist causes the trail shoulder and elbow to get into the correct position. Turn the door know with trail hand. Right handers turn the door knob with right hand clockwise. Left handers turn left hand counter clockwise.

In the very beginning of video, you showed the swings of a couple of whom I assume are pros. Are they known PGA/LPGA pros? It was so quick I couldn't recognize them if they are (was the guy Matt Wolfe?). Who were they? Especially the female, as she seemed to generate incredible power. I'd like to see more of that swing.

    • @MorePars
      @MorePars  ปีที่แล้ว

Matt Wolff and Maria Fassi (one of my fave swings - super power move)

@@MorePars Thanks! Funny thing is, I'm a guy (and a senior), and I think I learn more from looking at swings of LPGA players than PGA players. After all, I don't expect to hit it 350 yards like Bryson, but I'd like to hit it 250 yards like some of the little girls on the LPGA tour can hit it!
