I’ve been to Toronto’s garment district a number of times, but not in the last couple decades. :) I would append one more rule: when mapping see if you can spot places with bathrooms you’d be able to use (like a fast food place). if I remember to hydrate the inevitable result is having to find the loo!

I don’t know if I will ever get to an actual garment district but the prep is a good idea regardless and especially when I’m otherwise on vacation and going to all of the creative reuse stores I can track down. Even if the money budget isn’t strained the space budget is a factor lol

These tips are SO cool that they lowkey secure us a better life, off to drink some water, oh and also I'd lose my mind if I saw this much fabric at one place ngl

You’re welcome! I’d have to say my #1 favourite is Downtown Fabric - the owner is quirky but has so much knowledge and so many stories! I’ve also had some great finds at Affordable Textiles. And for drooling over the pretty shiny (way out of my budget) fabrics, you can’t beat Leo’s Textiles. ♥️
