    You can try to weld it . Probably weld a ear back on at the same time to be able to mount a case saver . 🤞 ....✌

      We were thinking about that. We’ll see how it does with the JB Weld. I’m not sure if there’s magnesium in the aluminum. We’ll see how it goes. We can also try to find a replacement case on eBay.

      @@rustednutrepair675 I've ben through this with a 1979 pe 250 .I only found a better broken one if that makes sense lol

    Really enjoyed the 3 videos on the GS1000 - what was the final
    outcome? Did it get patched, fixed or parted out? I hope not the latter, shame to see these awesome bikes die…

      Archie had a bad foot injury so we put the rebuild on hold while he’s healing up. The bike will be revived in the not so distant future. Thanks for watching!

    may i ask, what specific jb weld product did you use? thanks

      It’s just regular JB Weld 2 part epoxy. The red and black label stuff. It withstands up to 550°f. So far it’s holding strong.

    So did you fix the GS1000 or scrap it?
