Thanks for sharing this , I've not been there since played as a child ..... so many names you red out that would of been my neighbours..... Bossie lived just across the field there up the lane further ....he was my Godmothers father. The local postman ....and the man with many stories that I wished is of written down what he told me about Lady Dane....... sad to see graveyard so overgrown. lovely video .
I love this video, the graveyard is so beautiful and peaceful even in this overgrown state. It's interesting to see the somewhat recent headstones mixed with the very old ones. It's good to see that some are remembered and their graves are cared for. Thank you for videoing and God Bless, guys!
Just before watching this Irish Eyes, I just want to say how much I like, and am impressed with the way your video starts, the old keyboard, flickering tv with the eye, old wires, dust etc….I find that really great! Don’t know whose responsible ( I’m guessing it’s you) but these things have taken time to arrange and film for the presentation, so Thankyou! Great stuff! I love it! 🙋♀️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😘💕👍
Oh that's so sweet rest in peace like one ❤🙏 there are some beautiful headstone its a same though it's not being looked after lovley vedio take care GV and sue 👍
Thank you Irish Eyes and Serenity Sue another lovely and interesting walk . I was feared you might fall down into a sunken grave so glad you didn't . Night to both of you x
I love the older graveyards and cemeteries, so much wonder and atmosphere you leave feeling spiritually refreshed. You know to increase your subscribers and likes you should maybe if it's possible do a grave cleaning, every now and again, there are not many youtube people who do this, just a thought , I think you have to have permission from the parish but they do look lovely when they're done and I like your idea to bring a strimmer along. I love your channel you have a relaxed calming aura about you, an old soul lol. take care.
Sue sure had a magical place to play in when she was a child! A serene place to be buried for eternity. Hopefully the area can have some vegetation removed and more markers revealed. Another beautiful video. Take care. 😊👍
That was so interesting, thank you Irish eyes. It must be frustrating for you and Sue to try walking around unkempt and wild graveyards. I would be worried that you may fall into an old grave that had subsided and you couldn't see it. I agree more should be done to recognise those who fought for their Country. Thank you for all you do. Blessings to you both 💕🇦🇺
good evening 🌻 you're in such a peaceful place , even with it being overgrown it's beautiful . love the well and the tokens that were left probably in thanks .

Grave subsidence refers to the appearance of graves 'sinking'. This is an entirely natural process caused by loosened soil settling into place and the natural process of the coffin collapsing over time you can see the uneven ground. Generally speaking, a body takes 10 or 15 years to decompose into a skeleton. Some of the old Victorian graves hold families of up to eight people. As those coffins decompose, the remains will gradually sink to the bottom of the grave and merge. be careful and try to avoid them, there are stories of people sinking into the grave.
My imagination always run wild in cemeteries. Especially the old ones. Opened graves or broken vaults stir my imagination more...what could have burst out from there? You are both brave to walk through cemeteries and explore these places 👏... all I get is heart palpitation 😨
Think I said this before the unemployed could be utilised to clean up the cemetery as a way of earning their money. Even low risk inmates also could be used.May they all be restin in peace and May you, serenity and your families have a safe, happy and good health easter, god bless from ballarat in Oz,🙏🙏🙏👋👋👋🇦🇺
Very true Peter. We do have a system here in Ireland called Community service. It's a form of punishment were the person has to complete so many hours unpaid or face prison. God bless Peter 🙏😊
I think I heard an EVP toward the end, at 35:27, right after you mention the IRA, "yeah". I played it back several times, it's def there! Corrected: 33:27
How remarkable at 23:15 that the same headstone is being used by the family over 200 years later! At 31:43 it sounds like someone breathing “hallo” or maybe it was the wind?
Peaceful and beautiful walk. So sad for all the overgrowth but quite an adventure. Thanks to you (and Serenity Sue) for taking us along 💜
