Hi Britec, I recently got a problem with my pc when i restart it it wont boot up like theres no lights on the motherboard after i restart it and no video signal at all could this be a power supply issue or something else? my pc is not that old only 4-5 months old thank you for making videos!
@@thatguysomeone3716 looks like the issue might be with the RAM memory. to troubleshoot, you can try removing the RAM stick, and cleaning it thoroughly with a rubber, so reinserting it back into the slot. See if this resolves the problem.
I totally removed it yesterday, it wasn't about the performance, I use a different internet security package and really didn't see the point of running both and my systems fine. If it does screw up I have the ability to fix it but until then on we go, thanks for that. 👍
Did this last night & the difference in performance is dramatic.. my biggest gripe about defender was it constantly switching itself back on when I needed it to be off.. I don't regret removing it one bit. Thanks for the heads up on how to do it. 😎👍
Thanks so much for the update. I suck at navigating Github files. The dev told me to look at the release section for the actual program but I could not even find the release section. Then I tried just clicking the blue words at the top "windows-defender-remover" and it took me there. The removal dialogue lasted about 2 seconds max.
Great video Britec! I like Windows defender, but I find separate anti-virus solutions tend to work better at cleaning and removing viruses and malware, but Windows defender is pretty good at catching malware before it gets a chance to infect a PC.
Yeah its not that bad of a "resource hog", ok anti-malware program, and you paid for it anyway if you bought a Microsoft license 😛 Can't use Windows 11 on a really old system anyway.
I used the program to disable Dender (too scared to unistall it). Reason I did was Defender kept giving me messages of viruses that just were not there.
Now this is the main point why everyone using custom ISOs because Defender is removed. So that it's possible that we can uninstall it on our own. Thanks.
Wouldn't it be advisable to temporarily disconnect.from.the Internet while Uninstaller is running and then install bitdefender from a preloaded download on hard drive BEFORE reattach to Internet? I remember one.time installing something while virus protection was down only a minute and boom something got into my machine and.i had to spend hours doing removals etc. I'm old so I probably remember too.much sometimes .☺
I need HELP!!! I don't know how is happened :( I deleted a folder with all my movies and more stuff I installed Recuva but is not recovering my big files please I need a better program :/
Yes, Remove Windows Security are OK Brit But Should also recommend the free AV in the Market that runs without compromising the System's Performances & Stability.

It's important to note that this approach is exclusively recommended for advanced windows users only , and it's for individuals with significantly outdated computer. It's worth keeping in mind that this approach could potentially make your PC much more vulnerable.
I'm leaving it on. First time setting up windows 11 and it's pretty stable with Norton 360 for gamers for a month now alongside with defender. No issues with performance. Oh and if anyone has the Norton 360 for gamers. Turn off windows gaming mode. It conflicts. I've noticed it with Doom 2016 and Doom eternal. It Causes input lag.
Great video BTW I like the detail and disclaimer but I sure don't like the format of GIT HUB not that it has anything to do with you but coming from a mainframe environment I still find the format of maintenance and.development on other platforms so ratty and convoluted . I'm getting too old I guess . There is something to be said for proprietary environments like IBM zOS all vendors who.develop for it usually follow a strict maintenance upgrade protocol called SMP/E and it makes it easy to apply , upgrade or rollback stuff regardless of the vendor who wrote the code . I better stop now before I get hate mail .😂
Exposing people to this disaster is dangerous. especially something I don't condone so because of these reasons this is not good video and will be tried despite the disclaimer
Don't do this in the way shown in this video. If you must follow this advice, which I would not advise, please put an alternative AV on your PC first. I keep seeing poor advice on this channel.
@@Britec09 Then why bother to do it at all? The way you did it left the PC exposed. If you had put an alternative AV on and then removed defender it would have been safer, stupid, but still safer. I don't know why I'm even responding to you, after all you are the guy that uses SFC before he runs DISM! 🤣🤣
I removed windows defender with this program and installed Avast Free and set the Core Shields to low sensitive and my PC in now snappy, way more faster than how it was before with Windows Defender which used up my CPU 100% sometimes when I opened an app or I installed something.

Do you uninstall windows defender? let me know in comments below.
you really clicked the heck outta that, haha.
no worries, i'm good on not uninstalling my windows defender. thanks anyways for the suggestion, though!

Now would a restore point be able to restore defender if you have removed it?
Thank you for my requested video. I really appreciate it and your videos.

So if you use this method to permanently remove defender, you can’t go back by using a restore point?
If you create a system restore point you can roll back
@@Britec09if so, where do all the restored file will locate? and can we revert it in manual!
Very Helpful, I think with Microsoft Defender, you have to take the good with the bad.😎😎👍👍
You got that right!
Thanks so much for this very useful tool, the only way to shut this windows security up
