I remember having a headset similar to that, it was an Onn VR headset. I use that to play virtual reality games; however, I can only play 30 minutes at a time due to my eyes getting tired afterwards. I set that for myself.i should try using it to meditate.

It works really well to meditate, but your right; I can also only use it for about 30 minutes at a time. However, it's not eye strain; I just find it uncomfortable. It's a heavy enough kit to wear on your head, and you need to get it tight enough to make the VR immersive. Oddly though, I see that limitation as a good thing as it's a natural timer to how long I can use it 👍. I have to say though, I had the 1st gen Gear VR headset and I was shocked how much better the Oculus Quest 2 is 😳, it has totally changed my view on the future success of VR.

@@AlexSamuels what would you like to see VR in the future. What features would you want to see for them to improve on?

@@kennethjoseph9309 Great question, improvements easy, lighter equipment, better visuals and more emersion. But like to see is a world we can dip into and access on-demand that helps things like mediation or meetings that can’t happen in person. Expect to see is maybe a different matter, obsessive natures where VR becomes the norm and people become detached from the real world more than they already are with smartphones. A world more than ever controlled by corporations and big data, I am sure the metaverse will come I am a lot less sure it is a good thing. But for the moment I am happy using this device as a very good stress relief tool, in that regard it is in a class of its own.
It really is a great question.

Alex, there aren't many people talking about the power of VR for meditation/relaxation (yet). We'd be happy to send you a key of our Quest meditation app to try out. Feel free to DM us on socials. What makes us unique is that instead of guided meditations, we are focused on the education side - teaching meditation through immersive VR learning in a classroom setting through 30 min long lessons. Peace and Safe Travels.
