HI Robert, my son and I love the videos. He keeps saying "dad lets get a two stroke". Then he shows me your videos. Now it has to be a Yamaha Yz 250X with the smart card and all the mods you have done. Your a great rider and your videos lately have been our weekend fun. Stop saying "this bike is no joke". LOL It's gonna cost me 8,000 dollars. Keep em coming. Love the content. Waiting for the lap comparison for sure.
Thank you guys so much, means a lot to me! If you ever decide to get one from him he's going to appreciate for you to give him a life time experience. The first bike I get from my father is a Yamaha 125 👍
You can't beat the YZ Dirt Bikes. I used to own a YZ 125. IM going to buy the New YZ 250X in a few months. YZ ALL THE WAY!! CAN'T BEAT THEM. THEY'RE FAST AND QUICK!! SNAPPY!! ALL KINDS OF POWER!!
Great video. So I have a 23 yz250f for track. Didn’t love it on some MN trails so I want to get a 2 stroke again for trails. I’m torn between the reliable yz250x or new tech like a KTM. I want to ride it mainly trails but also have some 2 stroke fun on a track here and there. I miss the light playful fun of my KTM 150sx but im not sure if im too heavy for that or a yz125 now. Loved not getting super tired quick ya know. I’m 6’2, 210lbs with gear. What bike should I get? Thanks
The YZ is a lot of fun but comes with the cost which is vibration, aggressive power delivery which wears the rider down. On the other hand KTM has a Smoot power delivery Electric start and the way it's s made makes you a better rider. Doesn't bring much as fun too ride as a YZ but the KTM is an excellent winning performance bike. Make sure not getting the 23 those are a big trouble bikes. The 24 is good if you mix it with 50:1 and not 60:1 The XC-W has significantly less power than the XC. Good luck
Hey man, first off I love the video, that yz250 looks hella fun. But I got a question, I'm a novice rider, been around 2 years since I've started. I've been thinking between the ktm 125 sx or a yz 125 as a second bike, I wanted to ask what you think is more fun with your experience with the bikes. I dont race or anything, I just have fun so any information would help a lot, thanks!
Hey, I'm glad you get int to the dirt bike community. I think the YZ gives you less trouble and more fun on the long run. If you learn how to control the YZ the KTM later on become an easy ride for you if you decide to try out in the Feature.
@@polish7657I have a 150sx basicotly a big bore 125 and it is super fun on the track and great in the desert as well. It is very light and easy to turn ktm is nice since there is air forks so u can change suspension quick. Ktm is good personal bike yz may be a bit more reliable but ktm is more power and smoother and usable power band.
thank you for another great video sir .. im considerin which to buy YZ 2024 or KTM TBI 24 ... i think i should own both whatever i dont have budget for both ,i love ktm is so confortable to ride but i also love aggressive bike .my last bike was yz 450 2007 i kept that bike from 2006 to 2021 .. but im done with 4 strokes are very heavy for my style.i rode my friend ktm 2022 after 2 years of break of riding .it was last week and i fall in love with the bike.. i was going to get yz before that ride but than i start to think ab KTM...i also love your riding style aggressively after i watch your videos ktm2024 and this im confused and stuck which to get .. .... i mostly ride in tiny bushy roads and hill climbing love to try hard tricky stuff in aggressive mode .. often fell down and scratch the bike a lot so maybe i should go with the yamaha for my budget.. i also want the comfort of ktm im stuck ..if you hat to choose only one and have 1 bike which would you choose ktm 24 or yz 24 ..?
That's a though decision. The 24 KTM 250-300xc Is a good bike, the XC- W not so much as the XC. The XC managed to weight about the same as the YZ in 24, also they managed to use the same internal suspension design up front what the YZ have over 10 years. The KTM dose everything exceptionally well and that's makes it a good choice for most of the people On the other hand the YZ from the factory good for certain type of riding which is track or fast trails.Cost much less than the KTM and there is room to build the way you one to accept the easy button. If you try to get the E start then you gain a significant weight which not help in the bike performance. The YZ have its own class thanks to Yamaha passion about the sport in 2023.
sir i want it to buy KTM 300 EXC 2024 but normally they dont come with map switch i think.. so if i dont have a map switch and set up the powervalve with the wake up dongle it will wake up the bike or ineed to buy map switch to wake it up..what do you think about the EXC models ? are they not good enought as much as XC ?@@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv
@@enduroid Good call. Those bike are set up to have a green map from factory which is the more aggressive map. The power valve should be set up by your dealer you ned to remind them to make sure. The EXC is a bit more mellow compared to the XC
Loving the content Robert. Here in South Africa the YZ is almost 40% cheaper than any other European equivalent. You may have sold me on this bike dude. I have a 2013 Husqvarna WR 300, which is powerful, but the gearing is way too short for my kind of riding. I'm constantly searching for that non- existant sixth gear. My old RMX 250 was a lot quicker in top speed, even with the powervalve removed. This bike looks like it may just serve me well? Stay safe mate.
@@toms4806 To me the bar pad are really important. Once I broke my helmet on the bars and a few years ago bumped in to it again by doing silly stuff. There is a lot of hand guard options out there just spend some time on it to find the best one for you
The KTM 300 XC is a totally different bike than the YZ...The KTM is made for long hare scramble races that include both slow enduro and fast pace tracks that throw everything at you. The YZ is a motocross bike, even the 250X model is still snappy with a high rev open power valve system. If you ride the YZ for over about a 10-20 min period you will be worn out, but lots of fun. The KTM on the other hand will dish out even keel power (linear) for long periods of time and will not wear you out half as much. You can virtually ride the KTM for hours without getting burned out - and the KTM has an electric start so you don't get worn out kicking it. Even the best of riders can get in quick trouble with the YZ's snappy power, but the KTM is much more controlled.
@@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv ah I see I have a stock yz250 and I see your bike holds its momentum a lot more than my bike , thanks for answering so fast love your videos 👍
The way you ripped that thing put a huge smile on my face haha
"we gotta warm up a little bit" 10 seconds before BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
This YZ looks like it handles faster and pickups up speed quicker than the KTM ? KTM looks high and doesn’t get the front end to bite
Great Video. Puts the viewer right in the cockpit. I'm torn between the new 24 250 KTM SX and THE YZ 250.
Thanks, Far as handling and ride ability the KTM is better. if you looking for relatability, low maintenance cost the the YZ is better.
Get a YZ
That bike sounds frigging sweet, I actually have a smile on my face.

Not many mods I think; rad valve, fmf pipes, smart carb. That’s all it takes with a smart carb.
Smart CARB! Lol I thought he said CARD too!

Nice lineup of bikes!
Looking forward to the lap comparisons 🙏🏻
