Love your passion, Robert! I’m 71 and ride my TE 300 in the gnar 4 days a week, 200 hours a year. The new gen 2024/ 2025 XC and XCW now have the same gearbox and excellent front fork. The XC without the lights is perhaps 4 kilos lighter, sportier, and more powerful. The XCW power characteristic is totally linear and much better suited to steep, slippery hard enduro. The choice is really dictated by the terrain and weather conditions you will be riding most often. Here in the mountains of Washington State USA it is steep and wet, and as such I find the XCW/ TE versions easier to ride all day. A buddy’s 250 XC was a rocket ship, a hoot to ride, but wore me out much quicker. You choosing which bike is right for you is really a wonderful dilemma. I appreciate your honesty, candor, and thoughts. Thanks for sharing your videos with the rest of us.
Sometimes, in fact, most of times I've come back from a "time off", I seem to ride better. 😶 For my riding style and conditions here in New England, no question, I'd go for an XCw. I had a 250 and am currently on a 300XCw. Where I ride there's no place to open either of these bikes up, its a slow slog through rocks, roots and wet forest. This also the way I prefer to ride, I don't care how fast I go, I'm more interested in how controlled I handle a situation or obsticle. Two guys in the crew recently purchased 2025 bikes. One got a Husky TE300, the other a KTM 300XCw, both say they are incredible and outside of the stock tires the best dirt bikes they've ridden.
Heck ya! I can't wait to get back to riding.
Xc !!! Have both in the family. All agree XC . The white map is about the same as the xcw on the green .
2 stroke
Electric is easy but I still prefer to kick my 22 150sx 15 times on cold start 😅
Yz250x - ✅️ for shred/rippin fast/speed open trail ❌️ meant for technical riding full of obstructions like hard enduro. Ktm/others enduro dirtbikes - ✅️ are meant for technical/ eliminates obstructions riding.
I’d rly like to do a similar build wat are the list of parts that I’d need to do this not worried about the price?!
These riding videos that you do are badass! I'm pretty sure I've found one of my new go to channels.
Thank you!
The Urmosi mounts are the only mounts that let me use the precision steering stabilizer. Why the other mount companies haven't made an open mount setup is beyond me.
4 stroke all day long. 2 broke reminds me of a trailer park.
The comments make me feel smart
Now a YZ is gonna be $12k! 😪
Serves them right for producing crap bikes and not standing by their customers by voiding warranty claims
I am 69 and ride hard single every weekend, have a 2022 YZ250X and a 2023 tm300i, both great bikes, all the YZ needs is an integrated e-start. Hope they bring it out before I get too old :)😊
That bad boy can move !
If you could do it over again, would you buy another 300xc?
Yes! especially the 2025 KTM fixed all of they bug issues
@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv ended up getting a 2023 300xc with 14hrs. 7k. 🤷♂️
@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv i ended up finding a 2023 300xc for a great price with 14hrs on it. Previous owner has had no problems so far. Fingers crossed. 🫰 thanks for the reply!
I heard the transmissions are different first and second gear so what is the truth really???
Just my two cents the RK or APEX head with O E carb mods are noticeable improvements, maybe I'll place a smart carb, and the Fisch E starter that would make my sweet 250X as good as I could make it ...... I ride all the time w/ big dollar orange things and wait for them at times :)!
That’s a lot inventory sitting a the dealer….you know that’s not a good sign for KTM
Old guys always have a hard on for E Starts.
This isn’t Yamaha related. But has me thinking. Is the triple clamp offset different on tx and te bikes?
@@stangindude99 The Husky are the same. You’re set up is for easy turning and not for fast speed riding. If you one to change that use the second mark stead the third one what’s set up from factory
Here where we live ,in them tree groves that are similar, with that kind of speed, it’s not if but when you smack a deer. Been there done that !
The YZ is perfect the way it is It’s so easy to kick over it dosnt need electric start less to fix,it’s a motor x bike not a bells and whistles enduro bike,I’d take the YZ any day over all others
Long story short, bro snubs USA dealers saying they don’t have bikes on nice displays and lighting: and that dealers don’t offer ktm apparel in the same store😂😂😂 totally not true
Should have waited to go pick up a ktm from the bankruptcy liquidation sale 😂
Why did you delete my comment😂
I didn't, What was your comment?
The dealers in the USA only think of MONEY
that is the reason KTM deep in the hole, Robert
There is definitely way to much money laying around there
And yoy didn’t show that plats has sharp edges and that is very important to put the sharp side to the engine
Better food, better health Care, better work conditions, more responsive government, less guns, less crime.... The Nordic countries in particular lead the way. It saddens me that the United States is sliding backwards while the rest of the world is racing into the 21st century
So, where do you live? When are you moving? You'll quickly find out that the grass isn't greener in Europe...
If KTM would have been smart they would offer the xc head for the xc-w . Because KTM don't offer the head swap, people will just buy aftermarket and KTM loses money
The Yz250x is the most entertaining motorcycle to ride. It's not the easiest But the most entertaining.
Thats what happens when you get cheap parts from China Good bye KTM.
Good stuff -- same feelings growing up -- sold on this one or beta two stroke
1. Cody Webb is a really good rider but Mani owns Erzberg 2. It’ll take a couple years for Yamaha to develop a hard enduro bike as good as the KTM. 3. A Yamaha 300 is not confirmed, you’re only assuming 4. Only KTM haters automatically assume a Yamaha 300 is a better bike. They don’t even have a 2 stroke fuel injection system yet. Japanese innovation is a slow process, they refine things usually picked apart from others as opposed to breaking new ground
Love all you vids. And in. Depth talks. ✅ Subscribed ✅🇨🇦
Did the same, Thank you!
Thanks for the look around over there! Our local shop dumped KTM bikes a few months ago. Business wise - KTM was never fair to it's US dealers since they want corporate. That's why!
Thanks, I thought something was off when I saw this dealer. I just don't understand why they are like this the money is in USA and not in Europe can't believe they cannot come to agreements with the US dealers. If they would do that a long time ago they may not be in this big of a mess now...
@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv this had to have been a VERY preferred dealer / distributor as well. In the states here they wanted independent dealers ONLY for each brand! Insanity.
No dealer here in the US would have gas gas/husqvarna/KTM..............................they're all the same bikes in different colors. If I want to try boots on? Good luck. It would have to be the biggest dealer in a very big city. KTM is done with MV, as we all know by now.
WMR in FL... Sells only the 3 Austrian brands. Don't know what's going to happen to them...
To confuse things further in the UK our "XCW" is called the "EXC".
This is what 3 billion in debt looks like though ? I say to ktmhuskagas bike people be careful what you wish for , as they say. Manufacture a good product and forget the luxury experience. Luxury and no R and D on reliability dont match up long term. Internet wishes and realities are not the same for expectation . Live in a world of 3 billion debt , what do you think that experience costs nothing ?
I still cant figure out, why so many cheer KTM going away? What is the point? Its just dumb human nature loving seeing someone suffer? KTM is built on enthusiasm and racing, so why hate em cause they made mistakes? Harley is 7 billion in debt, I dont see anybody bashing them like they bash KTM.
@@bradsanders6954 I can explain it , if you know better ktm is sub par build quality it just is proven over 10 years but the marketing spiel they have saturated the media with gets very old and full of it !. So theres the Billions of dollars buying our sports media and our sports competition. Buying whole series like the gncc contacting in Orange White and now Red too, people blindly think its the great bike the marketing tells is why the front pack are ktmhuskgas well it isnt its because they Buy that Championship. Shitty bikes that take market share way from quality R and D on reliability brands . Made the sport of more expensive with all the so called advancements that are not . 300 t is all they have the rest are Shitty manufacturing rammed down peoples throats in the marketing of media and magazines as the best shit ever . Go away ktm making the sport money wins and making bikes more expensive with the model update fashion that costs heaps to keep doing . Once every 5 years was the norm for all new bikes and that managed cost increase to a ok level .
@@bradsanders6954 ktm are scumbags buying Championships in our sport and they make media and customers who buy there crappy bikes , make them sign Gag orders . Legal documents so you cant post or publically post about your ktm failure to get it fixed properly . I understand your point of view and comment if you dont know or realise who ktm are . Sick of the propaganda of how great they are tooo. haha , ask me how i know about ktm Gag orders to sign to get replacement after 3 months arguing with ktm service on a engine failure replacement .
Fingers Crossed!
Awesome to see, I work with many Europeans and the culture is so differn't also the salaries, even for the same job as me are often way less, very strange. Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy new year! God Bless and enjoy you vacation!
Happy Holidays to you as well, thank you!
I get sticker shock every time I come back from Europe. Especially when it comes to food… our average food is so bad compared to practically anywhere in Europe. You can literally get better coffee and pastries at a truck stop in France or Germany than a coffee shop in the US. I find that people in Europe live simpler and with less stuff. Their housing, food and healthcare costs are much lower, so they can get by on much lower salaries. And people focus on a single hobby… so someone into bikes might have one motorcycle, not a half dozen like we all do in the US.
Americans or Amerikarens take what they deserve. You hear that word in all the commercials, deserve. So basically it's a consumption country... Also driven by other cultures . The American culture is being replaced
You can't figure it out? No one is just a KTM dealership. They have Japanese along with triumph along with anyone else then you have to be a certain distance from another dealership to carry the franchise of red white and orange. That's why. This place you were at was nothing but a KTM dealership with them via gusta gas gas and husky.
Wrong.... WMR in FL... Sells only the 3 Austrian brands. Don't know what's going to happen to them...
I find Europeans to be more concerned with elegance, presentation and culture... Americans, are more about "take the money, give me what I bought and do it fast". As for the business practices of KTM, I have nothing to say except, look where the company is now 🤔. There must be some real Baboons running KTM... How does a company, that corners a market, because they make the best product in the world for that market, run itself into complete and massive insolvency???
Because the boss has a BIG ego & wanted to have Global domination, It didn't work for another Austrian born person i can think of ;) He's ego is that big he didn't read the market before he went in to take over mode.
But they dont make the best product in the world , they have bought the perception of that and you and millions of others , it has worked . Your perception of the best in the world ! Expensive that Marking , billions . Reality always catches up on poor quality in reality it just does thankfully . Buying a perception is lousy when not backed up with reality, 2nd rate quality parts and electricals since the beginning of the Media saturation . ktm has become worse not better and as i say thankfully because those who put importance on quality proven should be applauded , applauded without having to contract Multi Million dollar marketing packages . Like this Europe toss experience its just a perception once you have constant failures ongoing across millions of customers for 10 years plus now .
@@motozz8258 You're right and wrong .. KTM produced purpose built motorcycles and kept off-road riding and racing alive. The machines were so capable they brought forth the sport of "hard enduro", along with its offshoots. KTM instead of capitalizing on this, took the wrong path due to plain stupid management and overextension, digging themselves into a massive hole.
@@Ingloriousingletrack no not really , thats the marketing speaking not the truth of the matter. Hard enduro yes the modern Enduro of Hard Enduro but Trials the sport of Trials is actually the skill of Hard enduro . Easy suspension set up for Trials like bouncing and pivoting etc a long list of Trial bike skills. They didnt keep any offroad racing alive they bought it to sell there products . Real Enduro like the Enduro GP has been around well before ktm went bankrupt last time . GFC and ktm had millions of dollars so they bought the media and bought Championships , crappy if ofroad and motocross is your sport to follow . Its all there now in History , any Winner or challengers on another Manufacturer they would contract the following year. There biggest mistake was 3 colours of KTM to keep the illusion of good bikes dominating and not expose the buying of the Championships , like MXGP or GNCC a great example . Nah its a old term and its not sport Buying Championships ! Best bikes with advantage ok but thats not ktm .Production bikes are woefully bad which never has improved over the last ten years . Media spiel told us there good for the industry when infact they were just great for the media contracts or revenue of . Hard Enduro that's all they have given us a bike for and it had no competition for a very long time there too due to estart sloppy bouncy suspension bikes available in production. Sherco and Beta late entry in the exclusive market eventually but again ktmhuskgas would buy the best talent when challenged there too. Im certain reality of ownership of the product is the sleeping giant thats caught up to ktm not controlling qualitty or R and D investment on new models like the others have done for decades. Expensive buying media perception marketed , ktm scrubbs TH-cam lol of all the bikes snapping and or catching fire etc . Google contacts would be big dollars too if you can videos removed .
There's two dealers in utah i know of doing exactly that...KTM, Gas Gas and Husqvarna all under one roof......discounts? HELL NO!
My personal experience is that the level of service in Europe is much below that of the US and even South America. Employees in Europe usually receive no sales commission and the salaries are low.
The service are extremely high mainly at Hotels, Restaurants, not so much elsewhere. And the salary are really low probably that's why people are not as nice as they are in US.
@@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv I dunno. Motorcycle shops do not pay much around here, in nor cal. If you cant afford a good sales person, guess what? Sales suffer. I go in and I end up knowing more about a bike than the sales guy does. Most dealers end up having 4 brands trying to survive, they sell EMTB's, they sell chainsaws, side x sides, surrons which are a 5K toy. The money is hard to bring in.
@@bradsanders6954You said it. The sales people NEED to know everything about the bikes and which bikes to actually SELL to the buyers. Dealers need training on staffing.
Is possible to put lights and fun in 2025 xcf 250? And if put longer exhaust in that model it has power in low speed?
I'm plan to make a vid about that topic but with a good battery (better tan OEM) yes!
I think many people here in the states hope this is an opportunity to get a new KTM at a deeply discounted price more than they’re concerned about the brand going away..
Exactly! Can't wait to get back to pick up a 25 XC300 it's about 2k cheaper then it was
Here in Australia the KTM has always been a bad bike brand like they just wanted to be like Honda and Yamaha but never came close they always brake 🤦 now KTM is going down noone will want a KTM and you will probably get laughed at if you ride one 😂😂
@@zackiaryruddick701 Another dumb story from a hater. Go buy a 2 stroke from Honda and see what you get. I bet you piss your panties just being near any motorcycle.
Like the actual Huskavanas before ktm bought them ? Massive crash in resale massive and then part availability if you say i will just keep it so im all good doesn't matter the parts to different models that are not compatible to so called updated bike disappear and your left in a terrible place to fix the pile of junk when you keep it longterm. lose lose .
Have you saw the xcf models there?
Yes I did. I also noticed one thing which is better in US then in EU which is the factory KTMs comes with a cone valve suspension in USA (👌) but the bikes are not set up with it here. Also most of the 2025 bikes have some emission valve system set up on the left side which this guys say one more thing need to be removed before using it...
