  • Christopher Julius Rock II, (also known as Julius) was portrayed by Terry Crews. Julius is the caring, devoted, easygoing, levelheaded, but very worrywart, cowardly, frugal, penurious, incompetent, and cheap father of a 46-year-old. Julius has two jobs as a newspaper delivery man and a security guard. As a result of being extra worried, mostly over spending too much money, Julius' behavior becomes particularly inconsiderate of his family, frequently to the point of him appearing ridiculous and angering his wife, Rochelle.

      @marykatherinegoode2773 2 ปีที่แล้ว +36

      I live in Boston. We pretty much learn about fish from the time we are big enough to hold the rod. Basically if you do the human wheelbarrow and ask a dude from my area of the country to put his nose to the ground, he will track like a bloodhound. "I smell....haddock... less than 2 days out of water....THAT WAY, SIX BLOCKS EAST!!!"
      Poor Julius, though: he does not know da rules. Rule one: if a fish smells extra funky, it is NOT fresh and whoever is selling it is lowballing you. Rule two: if it is 1980s New York City, and it came out of the harbor, NOOOOO!!! DEATH!!!DANGER!! ☠️☠️☠️ Fulton's Fish Market was downtown in the 80s and generally safe to eat but stay away from the weird Chinese guy who says his is fresher since he got his out of a worse place.
      Rule three: no matter what, you are gonna STANK. Splurge for a YMCA membership and shower before you go home. Last rule involves paying attention to fish nobody else is eating. Bycatch is cheap and tasty. You get crab that way and drum and even shit like squid (tastes good with spaghetti and tomato sauce; so do clams and shrimp.) Fish that big?-Tip of the iceberg, man. He could feast like a KING.

    Something about 8:43 -8:56 is just so real and hits too close to home when you know the state of many families that are just as needing of a real man/father to take care of them. When a family doesn’t have that, Mom is forced to step up and in her usual absence(from working) & the fathers absence (for whatever) the kids are alone and don’t necessarily have the emotional support they need to grow up emotionally healthy. A situation I myself am all too familiar with. I’m just at a point in my life where I’ve come to really notice what it’s meant in my life to not grow up with a TRUE father. if us, parents of today's kids, could apply Julius' wisdom, we'll build them up to be greater than what's seen in these streets nowadays. He told Chris: "if you need a leather jacket, you need a leather jacket job". We need to stop buying these kids $500 jordans, when they don't deserve them. Let'em get that first job, learn how to save and let us all find out if hoe many of them will invest $500 on a pair of shoes, knowing how hard they worked to save that amount. That's wisdom y'all. This society was built to keep us financially illiterate, just to take advantage of us. 🎤 drop

      A $500 pair of shoes is worth the investment, Jordans are not worth $500, and that's the problem, not the cost itself.

      @@ThatBugBehindYou this distinction is everything. I spent over $500 on my dress shoes,not made in Vietnam on an assembly line sneakers.
