I like her character but she is 100% in the wrong to worry about nonsense like status and what her peers think, when they literally live paycheck to paycheck. As someone whos been poor my whole life, its a privilege to even worry about that stuff. Julius doesnt want things to be the way they are, but he accepts reality as it is and makes the tough calls to hold shit down. He doesnt just run things, they have nothing without him!

I wish there was an episode Julius was on price is right! He knows how much everything cost.
That looked like actual footage of the price is right back from the 70s
there's an episode where him and the family was watching the price is right and he was guessing all the prices right on washer machines and other appliances 😭😂 they're were all impressed and shit
There was an episode where he was watching the Price is Right and said the oven was $495. It was the exact price and Rochelle was like, "How do you even know what it costs? We don't even have an oven".
Julius, "That's because it costs $495.
Lol he woulda went the distance won some cash and apent it on the wife and kids :)

I always laughed at how cheap Julius was. Now I fully understand this man 😅😅😅
yes it is now as an adult.
The more you grow up in the real world , you realize Julius had every right to be as conserving as he was especially in this economey
This character was meant to be an extreme exaggeration on financial stress... but nowadays I think he is more realistic and relatable.
Julius has a very strong will. As a parent living almost in poverty during an economic crisis he is stuck between a rock and a hard place. What he truly wants is the best for his family, at the same time he has to avoid falling prey to the desire to make more money. He remains a morally correct adult man the entire time to the best of his ability.

For reals he'd make a great accountant or bank teller at one of our banks

@@okjeffy6581 He’s hilarious. Terry Crews is an amazing actor. I also love him in Brooklyn 99.
You didn't watch the episode then
Oh no. I think Rochelle balanced him out (and him her) and kept him from the extremes of wanting financial security. Seriously, hand-me-up clothes and shoes for Chris? That's just wrong man. He would cheap out so hard on everything if it was up to him only. Rochelle just wanted to give their family as good a life as they could have every so often. Kinda like, he provides the house, she provides the homely atmosphere: meals, cleaning, mothering etc
Though she shouldn't have quit her jobs like that just because he has 2 jobs.
That was just in comedic relief moments. Most of the show she loved that man hard and bragged about him every chance she could. You don’t see that from women these days tbh

They would rent out the upstairs room and lock the front door
@@axshman6914 Yea but their bedrooms were upstairs n I think the bathroom was too
It's a brownstone with 3 levels, the front door area is like an apartment, it's closed off from the rest of the house like when the mailbox is in the front then you walk upstairs which is where the the rest of the house is and on the 3 floor is the apartment they rent.
