He now works for the MET, but that meant moving away from his local area, where his family and friends live.
      This is why our police forces are such a shower of sh!te, because they do not employ people on ability, or merit. So you end up with UTTERLY CLUELESS PCSO's like this, who think the job is all about arrogance and tyranny, whilst massaging their own egos and narcissism.

    Its actually the LAW that she needs to show you her designation card 'IF' she is relying on any of the powers designated on it as per section 42 of the police reform act 2002. However 'IF' she isn't trying to use any of her powers then she's not obligated to show you it if indeed she is even carrying it because many don't and don't even understand what one it.

      @@PINACI PCSO can get details unlike constables who can only do it after arrest. But you right, they need to suspect an offence. It could be argued that she thought the filming was the offence. In any case if she gets away with not using her designated powers she still fails on abusing her authority by demanding ID. Note that I say demanded and not asked. Her whole body language and attitude and approach shows that it was not a normal conversation where she was interested in his name as you would if you might meet again in the future.

    This designation card business. When a pcso or constable refuses to identify like that, arrest them!
    Make a citizen's arrest, saying you are detaining them until a copper happens along because you believe them to be impersonating a crown servant, or whatever they are.
    That would make for an interesting scenario.

    • @HoratioChinn
      @HoratioChinn ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very interesting, whether they charge you with false arrest and false imprisonment, and if you used any force to hold them, assault. Your justification that as she didn't show her designation card, when in the circumstances she did not have to, whilst dressed in uniform, meeant you resonable theought she was impersonation a police officer, appears to be pretty much what I'd describe as bollocks.

      But she did have to produce her designation card, by training, by instruction, by policy and i do believe by law she must produce that card when asked.
      By not doing so the inference is that she is either acting illegally or impersonating a police officer (by as in this instance dressing as police personnel...)

      Get a grip. Its not like they have a special law to deal with people who do just that. is it? Thanks for taking a "stab" at the Ilford station and proving a good education. 👍
    Nov 2018 a gentleman's iPhone was turned in to the Ilford Sation. An app indicated the iPhone in the station. Over the course of 3 visits, the gentleman received little assistance and officers could not find the iPhone. One officer did appear to actually search for it and acknowledged it was turned in. Met Police are investigating. (As there is no update likely the case is still open on the missing iPhone in the police station... always tell the police the camera is ON, they will find the phone).
    2020 Ilford Station was closed for a refurbishment as part of the four station 18mil contract with Wilmott Dixon. Det Ch Supt stated the refurbishment was much needed for the comfort of officers:
    "“The building in its current form doesn’t provide our staff with the facilities or equipment to provide the best possible service to our communities.
    “While I’m aware the temporary closure may be a concern to some residents, I would like to stress that this is temporary - this police station and its 24-hour front counter will re-open as soon as refurbishments have been completed."
    As for the public, they were directed to go to the Barkingside Station front counter which was temporarily reopened. Refurb all about officer comfort and not public service evidently. Didn't find any recent planning applications for the refurbishment.
    Land Registry shows a large center parcel and narrow parcels on either side of the block housing Ilford Police. Planning search using 270-294 High Road did provide a general history of the location:
    1955 storage and light engineering and petrol filling station
    1962 shopfront
    1965 illuminated sign
    1972 illuminated facia sign
    Suspect the station was constructed late 60s from that info.

    We the public are entitled to look at a pcso's designation card read it and hand it back. Any pcso without a designation card is not an acting psco and any offence you may have committed could be null and void even if a real tyrant pig turns up. A pcso is contractually obliged to present the designation card upon request by a member of the public under police policy.

    According to the HOME OFFICE a PCSO must upon request present THEIR CURRENT DESIGNATION CARD to the public the document which MUST BE IN DATE and signed by the CHIEF CONSTABLE is a legal document and failing to present it " can result in a criminal prosecution " so this PCSO must be reported to the IOPC for disciplinary action , I did hear and so o nly a rumour a PCSO had lost items of kit and in doing failed to follow procedures so was " SACKED "

    I just read the PCSO powers , and according to the Designatrd Powers I read PCSO are only allowed to photograph people (away from a police station) IF they have been detained , arrested or given a fixed penalty .
    That makes me query if PCSOs are allowed to use Body Worn Cameras in public when a person has NOT been detained , arrested or issued a fixed penalty 😮.
    That is, perhaps worth auditors questioning them on the extent of their powers on use of BWC as they often put them on and don't even announce the fact , never mind that they may not be entitled to have them on . If on viewing the designated powers , the PCSO has not the power to use BWC in the absence of Detention, arrest or Fixed Penalty, then that should be an angle to criticise its use ( or demand they switch it off)
    But always record the police yourself .

      @scorpionaudits  ปีที่แล้ว

    • @hermanmunster3358
      @hermanmunster3358 ปีที่แล้ว

      So it seems. There was a time when most women would be flattered, if a guy wolf whistled at them, and many women would wink back in return. But now, we live in an overly sensitive, overly micro managed society, where people LOOK for things to be offended by. You daren't chat anybody up in a pub these days, in case you are accused of sexual harassment. It's got so bad, that we are raising a generation of SIMPS and INCELS, who have lost the ability to form relationships because of Militant feminists wanting EVERYTHING on their terms. And if as a man, I do not agree or comply, then I am a "TOXIC MALE"
      But I only see TOXICITY, VENOM, and VITRIOL coming from one direction, and that is from the direction of the Militant Feminist and LGBTQ+ communities.
      But, I'm a man, so I just ignore their BULLSH!T, and get more satisfaction out of wank!ng to internet porn instead, fleshlight in hand. It never complains, except when it needs new batteries.

    Freedom to photograph and film
    "Members of the public and the media do not need a permit to film or photograph in public places and police have no power to stop them filming or photographing incidents or police personnel." - MET police website, so NO excuse for this obvious violation of their own rules.
