Regarding our little "secret".... You probably already know our vlogs are a few weeks behind our real life. We spent the morning organizing our travels to and from the Shorty Awards! Since we already posted that vlog, it's not really a secret anymore, so sorry if you were looking forward to something that wasn't already out there ;) If you follow us on Instagram, you know why organizing these flights was a HUGE deal --> instagram.com/karaandnate/ ✈ ❤
Kara and Nate - Myanmar Govt. & Army killed thousands of people & 10 lac people's are obligated to depart from their house in Rakhain province!! Because those people's are Muslim. They were lived that provienc for last 300/400 years... But u are promoting this country.... very sad. Bangladesh govt.have given free food & shelter to them.Welcome to Bangladesh & see with your own eys.take care.
Why are you criticising Kara and Nate for posting a great video? They just showed the TH-cam community the peaceful and accepting nature of Burmese people! They wanted to visit a beautiful country like Myanmar to show the world that negative media (and people like you) have been misleading many people, as it is, in fact, a beautiful, amazing country that had a bad past, but a bright future. If you had any idea of the conflict, you would have known that the democratic government and the Burmese people are trying to stop the conflict and that the old Burmese dictaorship military that hasn't been disbanded yet is actually the cause of the conflict. Kara and Nate are conveying a message of peace, harmony and acceptance - nothing's wrong. Next time check your facts and think with a brain, or don't bother commenting. There's no reason to be horrible towards such nice, amazing people that inspire others, like Kara and Nate!
Kara and Nate I can see a lot of Indian influence. Samosa chaat , mini dosas, chick peas. There used to be a huge Indian population before their Independence. People in India still retain their surname Burman(means from Burma).
Kara and Nate you must be missing Indian Food..Indian food is the best in the world and when you visit Mumbai and Delhi you did not visit the famous food places WHY WHY WHY.....and I must say You both Have a very Pleasing personality...!!! and the KARA expression when she eats food is might blowing, the way she express feeling through her eyes.. she looks more beautiful.!!!! GOOD LUCK... and HAVE A NICE DAY
Most of the Rohingya refugees now in Bangladesh are women and children. Again and again they tell the same horror story: Myanmar soldiers arrived in their villages, guns bristling. Houses were torched. Men were beaten and killed. Women and girls were gang-raped and tortured. Babies were ripped from their mothers’ arms and clubbed to death, or hurled onto fires. Shattered survivors grabbed what they could and fled, staggering through miles of forests and rice paddies to cross the border into Bangladesh. rewire.news/article/2018/04/30/rohingya-refugees-raped-agencies-lack-needed-funding/
I love how sweet the people at the food court were! It just goes to show that an open mind and a big smile will get you far in life. Y'all are living big, and it's a joy to travel along with you. ♥
Myanmar looks really interesting and the food looks delicious. I need to go back to Myanmar, because I count it as one of the countries I've visited, but it barely counts. I did a visa run from Thailand to a town in southern Myanmar and decided to stay there for the night to at least get a taste of it. So I was only there for a day. It's definitely on my list to go back and experience it more thoroughly.
Omg Gabriel you seriously need to go back to Myanmar and explore the place, the people are so friendly and there is so much to see and do, it's probably my favorite country I've visited so far.
RICKSHAWMAN247 if I boycotted all the countries that had human rights violations I wouldn't be able to travel hardly anywhere, including my own country.
No Gabe, you need to do better. You should show you are smarter than that. There is genocide going on! Do you really not care or are you desperate for viewership? Kara and Nate are politically CLUELESS! Are you to??!!
I'm from Indonesia, when i was working at the indonesian embassy in yangon from 1985 until 1991, i'm visit many places for tourism in myanmar. i'm visit mandalay, pagan and kyaityo...nice video...thank you

Admire the way you guys handled that incident with the jerk in the park...your zen attitude towards problematic situations is what really makes you such good travellers 👍👍
Yeah... man what a rude dude. I am glad they handled that well. I be yelling Burmese curse at him if that was me. And most people are friendly over there.. that was Certainly out of the norm.
Your video made us miss Yangon! We had some amazing mohinga behind the city hall and loved the colorful old buildings. Wish we would have spent time in that park - looks beautiful!
I love you both even though I don't know you. I love how you capture the world and share it with us. I love your gentle love for each other. I love how brave you are to step into the unknown. So glad I found you on here. Thank you.
I’m all caught up with watching your videos! I absolutely love your channel! The quality of every video is amazing (Kara is killing it with the editing), and I love that I can see so much of the world, presented in such an entertaining, interesting way.
Hello. I saw a clip that someone from our country, Myanmar just bumped into you. And as soon as I found out about that, I searched your TH-cam channel. I just want to say we are really sorry for what had happened to you. I don’t know who he is, but as far as I can say, he could be a pickpocket guy or smth like that. I just don’t want to ignore that kind of behavior. I know I commented lately, but I don’t want to feel guilty for ignoring that kind of situation. I know he’s very rude. Not only me but also every other people think that’s true. So once again, we are really sorry even though we couldn’t do anything. Please keep making travel videos! And sorry if I’m not too good at English. Subscribed!!
Never Stop Thinking!!! How does being rude to people that have nothing to do with what you’re sooking about make any sense, it’s not ‘their army’, idiot.
I can't believe that the guy ran into you by purpose!!! I watch that part 3 times!! I know some run into people to get into the fight and steal your belongings. you did a good job to ignore him. Guys stay safe.
da_lollipop_kid I got mad so many times when these guys bumped into me until one day I realize this country really needs time to adapt and I try to feel them. Hope they get better.
Hi Kara and Nate! I just wanted to say I found your vlogs a few months ago and have now binge watched my way up to present time (which makes me kinda sad because now I can’t watch several of your videos a day 😜....or I could rewatch!!!!) anyways I just wanted to say that you have inspired my best friend and I to travel all over Asia for 2 months once we are finished our masters programs at school. I find your videos so helpful and informative and we are just thankful for all the positive energy you put out into the world! Your love for travel is contagious and I just love you guys so much 😍😍🌎🌎💜💜
Hey I’m from Myanmar! I hope you guys enjoyed your stay here and next time you visit, I’ll be pleased to show you guys around and let you try some more awesome food!
You guys are the best... trust me starting the day.. by watching your vlog actually helps me to stay motivated and cheered up fr the whole day.. two great people.. one awesome life journey... CHHERS TO KARA AND NATE.. way to go
Honestly, another amazing video. I love the B-Roll shots...so smooth. Kara, your editing is incredible. In the end, it makes for videos that I get lost in. I love it! PS: That guy definitely swerved to make sure he bumped into you...so weird. I loved that the people in the food market were so sweet to you. Keep up the great work! We are big fans. I'm so glad you won the Shorty Award. Well deserved!! ~Pam
evertime I watch your videos I get hungry...thankfully this time its at my dinner time. Myanmar looks like a very interesting destination....Take care you two....safe travels
That guy who intentionally bumped into you like that... what a creeper. Some people are just so miserable in life that they have to try to bring others down to their level. But he picked on the wrong people! No one loves life more than Kara and Nate. His nasty behavior won't stop those beautiful smiles! 😘
econojon I agree, that's typically true. Except, in this case, the guys arms were hanging by his side, and the look on his face was bitter, so I'm not sure what his deal was. Plus, he was wearing a t-shirt that said Michigan USA on it (which may be completely irrelevant). The whole thing was just so odd.
That was not a pickpocketing attempt. To put it as blunt as possible, they are people that are interested in women's bodies and will intentionally bump into women, espcially foreigners. Creeps are a huge problem in Yangon and on more than one occasion I've seen men taking pictures of women
That was so rude and weird for sure, but what did he gain by doing that? He got to brush her shoulder? LOL omg that's the difference between ignorant and uneducated, especially from a third world country.
Burmese people are indeed one of the best people I’ve met in traveling as well! 🇲🇲❤️ I’ve also tried Shan Noodles in a street stall in Mandalay recommended by my tour guide though I had mine with a broth. It was okay and not spicy at all but yours looks more delicious!!!
We spent a bout 10 days in Myanmar. Don’t bother with Mandalay. Went to Began, lovely 😊. Also went Ingle lake and went on a boat ride it was nice 👍. Then Yangon. Nice city. Love to go back just to visit Yangon again. The entry visa expensive. But the food is very good. Plus so many gold stores. Amazing.
Facts about Yangon. 1. Be careful of bird droppings especially when you have to walk pass big trees. 2. Horns could be honked anywhere 24/7. 3. 99% of the food served cold. 4. They won't give you ways on the streets, you have to find ways yourself. 5. They will put no more than 2 ice cubes in any of your iced beverages. 6. If you have any question you could simply go to your nearest tea shop. They will give you answers. 7. If you love old buildings this definitely is the place for you. 8. Most of the cars have right steering wheels even they drive on the right. 9. They don't smile but they are willing to help even the one who bumped into Kara in the 2:01. 10. You can use Grab and Uber to get your cabs.
1. yes what do u expect from walking under big trees and such? it's rarely the case for locals 2. true. smth should be done 3. nah. no. you just pick the wrong shop 4. 45% of the ppl are fluent in english or other languages
Cold food 99 percent..bitch please. I visited yangon several times and they have one of the most incredible noodle soup , hot tofu, dim sum , pau and most importantly mohinga etc. Which is served very hot
I love the video. I'm a burmese woman and I would like to apologize for that asshole behavior on behalf of genuine & friendly burmese community. May I also know what camera are you using ? :) Thank you.
So glad that you guys had a good time there. Shan Noodle (Shan is one of the main 8 ethnics in Myanmar) is one of the most famous Noodle in Myanmar. And I love it 😁 Mingalaba...
I am pretty sure that green leaves fries he ate at 5:30 is called pennywort leaf which is pretty popular in most of the Asia countries. I am glad you enjoyed there. I can't wait to eat all those foods from Myanmar again 😋 till next time 🙌
I thought you were going to say you were expecting :) That would be so awesome. You both would be such good parents. That would take your show to a whole new place. love you both
Banana that use for cooking is less sweet and is actually call plantain instead banana; while "banana" is actually referring to sweet banana that we eat it raw without cooking.
You Guys are amazing!!!You both make travel and life much more interesting than usual. No matter how the situation is you both handle it like it's all right which is very rare in today's generation.I am watching you both since your first every visit to Qatar and since then I left all other travel channels and always watch you becuz u both are so motivational and encourage to try new thing in life and show the world the true faces of each country.I voted for you every single day and I am glad that you both were chosen.I always wait for your vlogs but unfortunately you upload very late which I understand. Love you guys❤❤
Yep, I'm hungry now! So many nice people and delicious food... what more can you ask for? Pretty great! I was hoping you guys were gonna try those fried triangles 4:15, but at least I got that beautiful cinematic shot of them, haha! The intro was also SO good, from the awesome shots to the editing and music. Fantastic job, once again! Looking forward to the next one, with the river cruise!!!
Kara and Nate love your vlogs and adventures, and wish you all the best for the future, including the reason for the big smiles at the start of the video :). One quick comment on the 'samosa salad', it is the Burmese version of an Indian dish 'samosa choley', where in the Indian version comes from chickpeas in a broth. The samosa is similarly crushed. The lentil broth in Burma is quite similar to an Eastern Indian dish (particularly around Kolkata) called 'ghughni', where yellow peas are cooked in a light broth, and onions, tomatoes and green chilies are added on the top, with roasted cumin. Burma used to be very well connected with eastern India. You can still go near the riverfront in Kolkata and spot old signs for the daily steamship service to Rangoon (Yangon), now long-stopped. Regards from San Fran.
I recently found your vlogs and I can't stop watching one everyday before going to bed . I like the energy you guys have . . . . It's so positive and refreshing ! Love from india💗
"It's kinda like a hot sweet and sour sauce, but not very sweet or sour..." hahaha, this is (one of the many reasons) why I love you, Kara. You have no idea how much I talk like that on a regular basis. 😂😂❤
Thank you for visiting myanmar! I,am from Yangon, Myanmar.Burmese foods are delicious and the people are so kind! You should visit Bagan, A very acient place
I'm glad that you enjoyed shan noodles. It's one of my favorite food. It's bursting with flavors and hard to describe, like Kara said. I think closest comparison would be pad thai. But pad thai is a bit on the sweet side. Shan has more umami and spice tastes.
So fun to watch!! I love this video. I’m from Myanmar so watching this makes me miss so much. Doesn’t eating those street foods make your stomach hurt? If you’re not used to, it could cause serious stomach problems :(
Now officially updated watching your vlogs! I had to stop from when you were in Dubai because of my own channel getting more attention, but I have been sick so it has given me a chance to watch your videos now!!! Congratulations on the Shorty Award!
The park look busy peoples sitting around and babies love to walk on grass the market look busy plenty of food stalls very good healthy food like some of the food. I can see thank you for sharing.
After watching the bumping incident several times, I've concluded that it could have been unintentional. Why? As Kara turned around, the guy had to cut to his left to avoid running into Nate who was directly in front of him. By trying to avoid Nate, the guy bumped into Kara. To the viewer's perspective, it seems that no one is behind Kara but in reality Nate is filming and blocking the guy's straight path.
I think that’s msg they sprinkle on top, not sugar. But you can ask them to leave it out. For us, MSG impacts us a lot so we ask for it to be out of the food.
2:01 I get this all the time in Yangon. They wouldn't care. Even when you walk in a small alley trying to avoid people coming from the opposite direction, still there are chances you will get bumped into.
I’m glad someone asked about this. I love Kara & Nate’s travel videos, and on balance it’s probably a good thing that they don’t rule out countries because of unrest, political turmoil, or oppressive regimes. However, I often wonder whether they have made a conscious choice not to discuss or even refer to these things, or if they just don’t care. I’m going to assume the first. I mean, once you start down that path, you’re kind of committed to having a complex moral stand on just about everything. Then you’re passing judgment on very country you visit. So while I am quite interested in “social justice” myself, I think it’s fine that Kara & Nate don’t deal with that kind of thing in their travel vlog. That said, I would be interested to hear their actual take on his question ... not just for Myanmar, but every place they visit ... maybe in one of their special topic vlogs.
Andrew Pulrang their “take” on ethnic cleansing? I think one doesn’t have to ask... they’re not some kind of monsters. Of course it’s wrong. But again, it’s a travel vlog.
The food looked soooooo yummy....an the people did seem so sweet an helpful lol well except for the guy who bumped into Kara lol.....oh I love sushi to sooooo much like I eat it every chance I get lol...
Oh look, it's Shorty Award Winners Kara and Nate! I don't think you guys ever revealed why Kara's name comes first? I remember Nate mentioning that there's a story to it, but I don't remember if he told it?
Nah probably just a jerk and a pervert....bet he wouldn't have done that to Nate. I've sadly encountered plenty of his kind here in Delhi....some even on bikes who will steer dangerously close to you even on an empty road just to get a reaction. Fucktards get a kick out of it 😡
That can't be a pick pocket as pick poketers hit you only when they know where exactly is the money or wallet kept. He just bumped into her for fun maybe.
When you guys are done with your travels you should have your own show on the food network! You both love food and it shows in the videos! You both would be perfect for a show!
Kara has the absolute best style. So classy and simple and yet never boring. I'm not even into fashion, but she inspires me to actually attempt a wardrobe instead of just a pile of mismatched clothes I thought were cute in the moment.
You went to chines food tour and somewhat you stuck in more Indian then chines food tour. By the way, Burma(Myanmar) is considered to have most happiest person in the world and Hope you realise that.

@@tri2222b , It's not white powder, it's a paste made from ground bark called thanaka. It provides protection from sunburn.

Loved your attitude Kara & Nate... Ignoring the negatives & highlighting positives of the place. #Peace😘
As someone who's originally from Myanmar, I'm so happy you had such a great trip there!
*_My grandfather was posted in rangoon(Myanmar) during the british raj, he absolutely loved it!❤_*
Banana that use for cooking is less sweet and is actually call plantain instead banana; while "banana" is actually referring to sweet banana that we eat it raw without cooking.
They're called samosa
Kara you are a very good soul....my best wishes to you dear.
Best vlogger in world
OH! Just realised this was posted just yesterday...
It's nice to see fresh videos of Myanmar....
Love to see you both enjoy your holiday in Myanmar look very good and cheap food I love street food is the best thanks enjoy your trip.
Thank you for being in Myanmar! My home country! We always welcome you here
Kara and Nate love your vlogs and adventures, and wish you all the best for the future, including the reason for the big smiles at the start of the video :).
His reminded me of our do it yourself Street food tour in the souks in Marrakech. It all looked so good... Now I'm hungry. Thanks for sharing!!!
Over 1k views in 30 minutes. You guys are killing it!
Hahaha glad you could relate ;)
Thank you for visiting myanmar! I,am from Yangon, Myanmar.Burmese foods are delicious and the people are so kind! You should visit Bagan, A very acient place
You guys’ street food hunting ability is TOP NOTCH!
It definitely felt that way tonight! The night before not so much! ;)
If you’re not used to, it could cause serious stomach problems :(
Hi Kara & Nate, Nice video! It is very informative and has added lot of excitement for my trip in July!
Wherever you guys are, have fun guys!
So much incredibly delicious food! Love it!
Now officially updated watching your vlogs! I had to stop from when you were in Dubai because of my own channel getting more attention, but I have been sick so it has given me a chance to watch your videos now!!!
Congratulations on the Shorty Award!
I wonder if the guy that ran into you was trying to pick your pockets.
OMG I WISH I SAW THIS EARLIER BECAUSE I LIVE IN YANGON WHY WHY ITS GREAT
Love you guys!
New video = [pause] life. 😎
Exactly she does it all the time.
Nah. She moved out of the way to the left, he saw her and followed her to the left lol. Totally on purpose
If it's unintentional he should've said at least sorry. That's the gentleman way.
Yet another amazing video! You guys are the best travel vloggers in the entire multiverse!
I need to eat that food nowwwww😍😍😍❤️
I think that’s msg they sprinkle on top, not sugar. But you can ask them to leave it out. For us, MSG impacts us a lot so we ask for it to be out of the food.
Kara's reactions whenever she tries food are priceless hahaha . We love you too Nate 😊
sissi __ Sissi come to my house babe heeee
A simple but awesome country. I became interested in Myanmar because of my friends from there. Hope to visit there....soon.
i want to have those noodles too🤤
Shraddha Bhadouriya come to Chennai .we have lots of places like Myanmar markets and street restaurants
It’s called Shan noodles. (a noodle style originated in Shan State) You can have it with soup or without soup (dry).
The one you are talking about Dosa is burmese style of dosa with some spice and lillte bit veg.
Thank you both of us for our country news
I love noodles 🍝 ❤️
Delicious shan noodles. I like it very much.
At9:00 I about to say that it’s not how you suppose to eat 😂 then she comes
2:01 I get this all the time in Yangon. They wouldn't care. Even when you walk in a small alley trying to avoid people coming from the opposite direction, still there are chances you will get bumped into.
What about the Rohinya cleansing
YouCanDoIt This is a travel vlog
Martin C. I should have said their thoughts on visiting a country where ethnic cleansing is occurring.
What about massacres by ISIS, Boko Haram , Pakistan terriosm, etc etc etc
Thanks to this video i made many thinks i want in Mynamar, thanks!
Love from Maryland!! ❤️️🦀
Shellz Weaverling 👍👍👍
The food looked soooooo yummy....an the people did seem so sweet an helpful lol well except for the guy who bumped into Kara lol.....oh I love sushi to sooooo much like I eat it every chance I get lol...
Everyone was so nice in Myanmar EXCEPT for dude who intentionally ran into you! CRAZY!!!
Great video. You guys should try Shan Yoe Yar and Min Lan restaurants if you are still in town. BTW, Doing a new milage run videos any time soon?
It's exactly like a sweet and sour sauce... except totally different. : )
Me encanto el vídeo adoro Myanmar espero algún día viajar por ahí gracias saludos desde Perú
Oh look, it's Shorty Award Winners Kara and Nate! I don't think you guys ever revealed why Kara's name comes first? I remember Nate mentioning that there's a story to it, but I don't remember if he told it?
Hahaha we never did! Basically karaandnate.com was available and the other way around wasn’t. 😁
amazing videos....one of the BEST Videos clip iv ever seen about Myanmar,,,,,,many thanks and God bless u couple always...
I wonder if that guy that ran into you tried to pick pocket you🤔
I wouldn't be suprised if he did.
It's lil suspicious because he shows up in the video again 6:23
When you guys are done with your travels you should have your own show on the food network! You both love food and it shows in the videos! You both would be perfect for a show!
Hey you never know!
DO-NANA!
Do-Nana Bo-Nana!
Kara has the absolute best style. So classy and simple and yet never boring. I'm not even into fashion, but she inspires me to actually attempt a wardrobe instead of just a pile of mismatched clothes I thought were cute in the moment.
What a lovely compliment! Great to hear since I feel like I wear the same things over and over 😂💜
2:03 what the hell that dude doing
He is trying to pickpocket
You guys are great to watch, great editing style! I am envious of all your travelling and also all the great food you eat and stay slim as well!
You went to chines food tour and somewhat you stuck in more Indian then chines food tour.
By the way, Burma(Myanmar) is considered to have most happiest person in the world and Hope you realise that.
You should try their tea leaf salad. You Will be surprised
Ur vlogs are awesome..Nd u have such a positive energy that random people just come and run into u ..lol..😉😉..DO-NANA ..God bless..
