    Combining a water map with a land map into one match like this would be utterly nuts. The two sides shouldn't be totally separated though, just in case one player conquers one side but the other takes the different side

      The showmatch had 2 other games on different maps: Socotra-Oasis (socotra in the middle of where the wood and lake for oasis would be) and land nomad - islands. Both crazy

      I feel like this is a must. Since there’s no way to move between the sides, if each player completely wins a side then the game has no way to end.

    I need this map for doubles. It would be cool if standard victory but if either side collects all the relics or completes a wonder it triggers deleting the divider wall!

    It's a great map. A Tree barrier is much better cause then you'll have more options. Would love to see more of it and see how high elo players react and use the terrain for their benefit.

      i dont like the tree barrier idea tbh, it would change the dynamic of the maps. For example, wood is meant to be scarce on arabia. With the wood barrier, they could just slam villagers on it for easy wood, and it wouldnt really be arabia.

    Would be cool in a 2v2, where two players get arena and two get arabia, essentially becoming two 1v1s until later when the barrier gets removed.

      This would be different to two 1v1s as they would be able to get to each other later in the game. The civs they picked would have to account for being EITHER an arena or an arabia civ, and the strategies used could vary wildly compared to a 1v1.
      I could see slinging, tree cutting with onagers, and great macro play.
      One thought off the top of my head is that arabia players would be at a great disadvantage late game if they went for early aggression, considering that they would be far behind economically to the arena players on the other side, even if they won. This might lead to fast castling, and I could see the arena player slinging the arabia player being a big part of the meta for this sort of map.
      Not that I believe this would be the most different thing ever, but it would still be interesting to see how players adapt.

    I think they should make the middle barrier the wood then stone or gold so you have to mine through it and the players can decide how much they want focus on it. GG. I’d definitely like to see more of it

    Same setup, one change: a single connecting path in each player's base, completely covered by a non-functional Wonder (so no way to cross). Win condition is to destroy the opponent's Wonder.

    Wait a minute. Since both sides are completely closed, is it possible to tie with each player winning one side?
    I think you would indeed need to make the barrier disappear after a certain amount of time to allow units to pass through and prevent stalemates.

      The map maker said in the twitch chat, that the map originally did that at sixty minutes but Daut didn't want it.
      I don't think its likely. Having one side with free eco is just so strong you can come back from basically anything on the other side.

      I feel like you didn't even watch the video considering t90 mentions the possibility of a stalemate about half a dozen times, as well as going rather in depth as to how that might work.

    I know it isn't possible. But. Imagine how cool it would be to have some water on one side, then the middle wall disappeared and the water flooded part of the other side, creating a lake or suddenly making that side into islands or something.

    Overall I really like the idea of Idle TC time, but it also doesn't make much sense when there are multiple TC's, at least not if the other side doesn't have the same number of TC's.
    I feel it would make more sense to have "active TC time" listed instead, so even if a player gets stuck on 1 TC, it's visible, while the other player with 4 TC's but only producing out of 1 or 2 is also noticeable.

    The Map pack is called "Two Worlds" where the Walls disappear after 60 minutes atm and "Two Worlds forever" where they never disappear

    Having a single tile path between the sides would be cool with a wide forest to chop through. A conversion tutorial for T90- conversion rate is 28% per second but only start their conversions after 4 seconds (min) for eagles and scouts it is 8 seconds. After 10 seconds it is automatic conversion. The Teuton and Sicilian bonus as I would suspect for Bengali elephants adds +1 to min and +2 max range Also they have a conversion resistance of 2 which reduces the conversion by 2 for 14% from end of round 5 (min) to max 12th round. Faith is even better at a cost of 1000 gold and 750 food. The min is +2 max is +4 and resistance is 3. New conversion are 6th round to 14th round and conversion is 28/3 (9.33%).

    Is there a way to make this map where each player starts with an AI ally who immediately resigns? So you can control the ally but can’t send resources back and forth that way you truely are playing two separate games at once without influencing the other?

    In regards to the wonder victory, how about in the middle of the separation there's a Gaia Wonder and it could be like King of the Hill? If you end up with each person winning half the map, then they could go in and activate the Wonder and then have to use archers/artillery to try and maintain control of it from their side.

    Now Imagine what a map with one half of Forest Nothing and one half of another Nothing be like... For 4-6 players due to 2 TCs.

    You could make some of the tiles of the divider wall from gold or from stone which you can mine. You couldn't shoot your way through with an onager like you could with a forest, but you can get through eventually. You could make three minable narrow passages, one by each player's base and one in the middle.

    The key is to pick civs that are balanced by having expensive upgrades. Two TCs and two maps make those one-time costs much less significant.

    Camel bonus vs elephants isn't great. Even a civ with garbage pikes would do better damage wise, not to mention not throwing gold units to the trample damage.

    a map with a one tile separation wall, so that you can cross it with siege towers.
    if you lose one side completely, you can repopulate with vills

    Fighting elephants late game you must use gorilla warfare tactics … let them chase a small army use another small army to
    Attack their base … slam kept his all in 1 army instead of splitting into 2/4 groups
    Elephants are slow ….
    Use Calvary and make them chase you or go all in on you , you will win just, remember they are slow . You don’t have to engage .

    If it's possible to have a 2 TC star without bugging out sudden death(lose tc lose game) then you could have an irremovable barrier but make it so that the TC's always spawn within trebuchet range from the other side for a truly weird endgame to counter act ties.

    What if the center strip was a narrow 1 tile wide area that held the kings of both sides, a keep, and nothing else. You could then call the map "Neapolitan" and never worry about stalemates

    Definetely, Daut is way more better than Slam but at least that a great game !

    I would like to see regicide version. that way you would have one side fighting for eco and one side fighting for the win. You could also try to snipe the king if you are losing one side.

    Arana or Arebia. Also isn't this actually usable for 2 players on each team to control 1 color? So 1 player can control the top and 1 can do the bottom.
