To be fair they can always just delete their whole base if that was the case.
This actually happened in the Principality of Transylvania, where two brothers who hated each other inherited a castle, they then moved into separate halves of it, barricaded themselves and often fought against each other, besieging the other half now and then.

this seriously could be its own game mode, the dynamic is so unique
red could have kept all his eco on gold and wood and build the castle with one single vill hoping in and out. blue had almost all his eco idle and red would have kept a good working eco evenif if he didn't complete the castle. other option was to place the castle just a bit further so the tower can't range the vills and then delete wall and place a second castle much closer.

I can't help but imagine smallest scandinavia with normal water so the map ends up being 70% water with a thin strip of land.

Love the tiny maps. I think they lost because they never walled off. You can't give your opponent the entire map if it's this small.
Another thing slow could have done was rush a few villagers in there and build walls/houses at points to block off any room for a castle drop

RMCO's biggest mistake and what cost them the game was not placing the castle on the other side of the stone, directly under their TC. Neither tower could range the builders if they build from the TC side that way. And the castle could have potentially range Jons TC too.
More tiny maps please! Seems like a lot of short chaotic schnanegins and in about it.
I think a map script specifically designed with this map size in mind would be interesting.

You know the map is really small when the minimap shows each tile as a dot and you even get space between the dots! You can actually see the grid of the map! xD
If this was Age of Mythology you could fit at least three other players in there.

Yeah could have built it more central. It could target 2 towers and the TC from there , plus along the line with TC, could have even garrison/ungarrison more villagers and built faster.
Loving these tiny maps, I want more! And I'd like to play them myself, too... Man, they should become official and everything.

Am I the only one who can't play anymore because I'm a legit low elo and every game I'm getting some sorta of BS "low elo legend" rush thrown at me? I enjoy the series but JESUS CHRIST I feel like nobody in low elo is actually low elo anymore. It takes me DAYS, literally, to find a game where I feel it was genuinely evenly matched and not someone just toying with me for the memes.

I can't seem to get these maps to work. edit: got it, you need to, in addition to subscribing and activating the mod, select them in custom maps when playing a game.

I think a TC drop would be super hard to defend against on this map.
If you get through the stone walls is there even enough space to put a TC next to enemy tc? Without beibg shot by enemy Tc while building it
@@RobotShield In that specific game, I think he could have ranged the opponent's TC, or cut off the stone by putting it outside the wall.

I'm getting so used to these tiny maps, that conventional maps are starting looking too big in comparison!
I'd love to see a tiny map game where you can't build any towers/castles/town centres cant shoot etc so players are forced to build military
do 8 players ffa islands on very small sandbacks its amazing. Everyone starts low resources with this tiny island that has your 4 buffalo, 3 deers 2 boars and just 5 trees. Your scout cant find anymore. But if you spend your wood wisely, there is a huge woodline in the water just beyond your scout's view, this is also where the stone and gold is. If you are really luckly you'll get a 15ish trees added to your starting point.

Hey T90, I love your content, but sometimes those huge 2 hour games I just don't have time to enjoy them all. I've really loved these high pressure small maps, I've watched them all and I'd love to see a meta for this small style of map develop.

These tiny maps remind us all that space is an actual resource in AOE II, which no longer exists in Arabia these days.
But I guess that's too deep for the dev team of this game.

Deleting the town centre to build a castle sounds like a bad idea. The blue guy could just quickly buy stone and drop a tower right next to the castle.

I'm just imagining the awkward building of this settlement. Villagers casting dirty looks at each other as they construct the walls and gate.
I love the small map series and all but I really want to see some more serious matches. I feel like theres been a flood of more casual/laid back games. I need a good mix of serious matches and goofy community matches.

I would of placed it forward so I can build from the back where his tower on the left cant reach me. It was so close. If only one vil could of continued building it would of been game over

I cannot figure out for the life of me the decision by Rmcoo to sell stone if he was going all in on rushing a castle. I wonder if he hadn't done that if he would have been able to win.

Huns have a surprisingly good bonus for this type of map if it ever takes longer than 20 minutes.

I don't think deleting the TC helps because you would need the TC to heal and get some more villagers (if necessary), but I would love to see more tiny maps with wacky strats. A few more tiles of space would also be great.
Huns would kill everything if they survive early pressure on this map size.
