Had to use a Moen handle extension kit on this valve install

- Moen is my favorite valve but they could make the back of the valve nice and flush so it would sit against wood better. I do love their extension kits that come in 1" and 2".

I had never heard or seen the Moen extensions, what a great product, thanks for sharing. Been using the Delta Multi-Choice on rough-ins so I don't have to wait for the customer to choose a trim.
Same here, delta multi choice is easy to rough-in and easy to repair.

Great job 👍💰🇺🇸. There’s a perfect tool to extract the old Moen shower cartridge especially when they are stuck. A adapter tool that you use on a compact power drill👍

As someone else mentioned, you should have replaced the rest of the cartridge- the pressure balance assembly is what was causing the hot- cold problem….
So they bought the cartridge and I installed it and then it didn't work a couple days later and they said just change the dang valve. I honestly can't remember if they got the pressure balance assembly or not, pretty sure I replaced the entire thing
l hear you . Been there. I do like the posi temp. One cartridge, easy repair the next time.
I left angle stop on when replacing, came in water was blasting aluminum sink. Hahaha
Bore a hole through the wood so the round part goes through so it is flush...
It's not that it's not flush its the cross on the back of the valve that always makes the valve sit funny against a hard surface

If it was a Delta there would be zero problems. If I had two moen faucets I'd shit on one and cover it with the other.

W/a little more effort that Kohler “RITE-TEMP” could have been repaired.
They are excellent valves. MOEN Posi-Temps are junk in my opinion.
If he had replaced the pressure balance unit that was shown still in the old valve body along with the cartridge it would have taken care of the issue.
Wasn't my call, owners were tired of it and said cut it out
