Low toilet flange fixed with Oatey Set-Rite toilet flange extension kit

The Oatey Set-Rite is truly is a great product. The only thing I would change about it is make the discharge hole a little bigger in the flange, other than that its my most trusted method of raising a low toilet flange.

Just glue in a new 4*3 flange within the ABS. No spacers, No cutting, no BS. Was that an option?

Yeah I could have done that but then there would be a 1" void between the old flange and new and I'm not certain how easy it would have been to fasten screws to the floor. I used the set rite cuz it's the only "upc approved method" for raising a flange and I wanted to screw it right onto the old flange

May I ask what seals the flange extension to the original flange?

A neoprene gasket, risers, the flange and these heavy duty self taping screws

When do u know to put spacers under a toilet as well?

U mean shims? U just take a shim and try and fit it under the toilet and if it slides under, leave it

Did that leak? When you flushed it sure looked like the left corner or right around 11oclock, looked like water started running down.

I noticed that too. I zoomed in but it’s really hard to be sure if that was leaking or not. If it was it is a very small leak. Good repair though bro, nice use of that Oatey kit. I’m gonna have to get me one of those to keep on the truck for certain situations
