True. I don#t know who I am and hate when ppl ask me " How are you." How would I know? But actually no one wants to be a narcissist. It's not our fault. We were made through plenty of pain and torture.We were made so called " normal" ppl.
Why all the public persecution of ‘narcissists’? Is narcissism so specious, incurable and rare that we can banish it from our village ?
Exactly. It's a scapegoating mechanism, and an algorithm-driven fad. The laissez-faire over-diagnosing and projecting this image (a secular "demon") on everyone around is rampant. I'm so grateful I am not one. Plus, if what is said in this video is true - imagine, it's just the most pitiful existence imaginable. What suffering. By the way, Sam Vaknin shows that narcissists, too, can ultimately decide to work for the good of humanity, find meaning in their life, contribute to society. Those who manage to do that, get their false self under control and live like decent people, make the best out of their situation - are real heroes in my book. And they are actual human beings, "soul" or no "soul" - the AI may function as a metaphor, but Vaknin, who coined it, is a diagnosed narcissist himself
You can also ask, what happens in the family of the victim? Are they sure they act right behind the scenes? Are they sure the victim is wrong? Do they have a mindset of heavy jealousy and hate and fear, what can trouble their judgement? Do they act the same before and behind the scenes? Do they have feelings if they attack? Do they have satisfaction of their attacks? Does their family has the same issue? YES! Do they think they can decide about life and death!
