Not gonna lie, Divine has a pretty good story and characters. The new cards aren't bad either.
That "Oy, oy, oy, OYOYOYOY, OY AKINA!" was just chef's kiss. Really loved the fight. And the genuine kind of excitement from Mikoto at all kinds of fights is really lovely to watch. This story is already going great.

Megumi getting a new rideline gives me hope for a new Magnolia unit in future sets
Love that we got to see a character ask for a trigger count on screen again - last time we had that was Shion when he fought Shinonome during the Stride Gate finale.
Megumi's lose streak goes on across different series. And it's a shame too because the Masques unit would've destroyed Lyrical's formation
This was such a good episode. We finally got to see Lyrical’s in action after so long, Megumi got some spotlight, and Mikoto has so far shown to be a pretty relatable character, being a model student everyone admires in public while also being a loveable dork in private. Can’t wait to see more of her next week.
Reminds writing of OG CF Vanguard (2011/2012). LOVED that they did not skipped to grade 3, but dive into mechanics, even of the early game. Also has much deeper character arcs (just like Misaka losing parents or Aichi gaining confidence and the end of s1 accepting the truth).

Probably Emi's Bermuda deck who happens to drive check triple critical triggers, landing 4 damage on any opponent.
The last Bermuda game we had was Saya VS Tokoha during G Next, Beacon of Revival. The last Bermuda win we had was Saya VS Remi and Lisa during Stride Gate Episode 36. The last Bermuda appearance we had was during Shinemon arc, Remind/Episode 18. Hope this helps figure out how long it has actually been, definitely not as long as Emi VS Shingo lol

I really like Mikoto's deck. I usually use i deck with as many different units as possible only because i like having a lot of different cards in my deck, so when i saw that her deck is more strong if it has many different units, i said "that is my ideal type of deck"
I am so biased but I am so obsessed with Mikoto‘s deck and personally my favorite for almost the same reasons and to me, she’s way too cute and one of the cutest voices and personalities, lol!!! 😆🤣🤭💕
I can't believe I am watching vanguard again after three years of leaving it. LET'S GOO DivineZ
well you lose the world building of Dress series tho , cuz some characters in DivineZ were introduced in Overdress and Will+Dress like Megumi , Taizo and Masanori. Raika was also shown in episode 1 on the TV dueling against Taizo . So who knows what other characters can return .
Dress series introduced a new world not connected to the old series , DivineZ is the G of Dress series because it continues right where Will+Dress ended , but with a mix between new characters , new protagonist and old characters returning as well. Who knows if future seasons won't bring more old characters back. So while yes you might understand the main story only watching DivineZ , you won't know some of the characters backstory , or some of the world backstory as well .
For example the fact that the arena from DivineZ was build by Will+Dress antagonists , or that Megumi became Blackout leader and decided to work at a cardshop at the end of Will+Dress , and also the fated ones cards fell at the end of that series as well. Taizo , Megumi and Msanori backstory is also all lost because that happened in the previous series.
So you lose world background , characters background , and stuff like that.

It was actually in will dress season 1.
In the deluxe tournament, the girl that has black hair and blur ribbons was shuffling, and we saw the lyrical effect front trigger. It was revealed that she uses kyoka, the demon girl that uses magazine orders.
But yes, this is the first lyrical deck we've seen In a fight
well technically not really since during the deluxe tourney in will+dress season 1 there was a girl who was confirmed to use a lyrical deck that's about magazines/tabloids. But i suppose you COULD consider this a proper debut since it's a full fight
Its refreshing we didnt get Akina to fight again... Its would be suck if Akina would fight all the other 5 without having another combination...
i would have personally make it so all 6 have to fight each other so we saw all combinations

About time we get to see some Lyrical showdown unlike Himari which didn't get an on-screen battle (only shows Tohya Ebata defeating her). Only few lyrical cards seen on Will-Dress was Yuika, Melty, and Kyouka, and that was when Himari was self-practicing.
I cannot wait for Suo to destroy everyone. Well, everyone except MC of course 😂

NEW RIDE LINE FOR MAGNOILA?!!! I have a Magnolia deck and I so want it!!
Makes sense since well…Magnolia’s ride line was always kinda bad. Even back in the set 1 days people quickly moved over to the ever prevalent Zorga line. Having an actual good ride line and not need to play so many orders should help Magnolia immensely.

Well her deck isn't that ideal for magnolia. No enlargulv for free revive or shield no goildoat for free draw and power no gabregg for guard restrict and her not knowing her opponent's divine skill made her guard the wrong attacks

Jobber Megumi is back!!!
My face when people started bashing her for thinking GIunosla was in the front row during her Elder turn clearly don't know how to pay attention considering she literally said she activated Giunosla skill to buff up the new Lattice form, like if you're going to hate at least pay attention to what is happening.
Honestly was it really that hard to just have a Bermuda Triangle/Lyrical Monasterio users to be plot important in this series. (Then again I guess it is kind of hard to take Idol mermaids fighting against Dragons and Knights seriously)

So this episode is more focused on telling us who Mikoto is as a person as well as for her reasoning for joining the fated clash, her being an idol means that her problems in life are clear cut, which is why she loves Vanguard online because she can feel like herself and not have to worry about her image as seen in the beginning of the episode as well as in her fight against Megumi (which is more poetic than you think), thus her reasoning for joining the fated clash is to become more courageous and more proud of who she is and overcome the fears that comes with being an idol, and having the title of "Ever-changing" which definitely fits her character.
I was surprised when it's revealed that Mikoto and Hikari are online buddies who play Vanguard online, (and by doing so really gives me a strong implication that Hikari will become a prominent character later on) but then I was more surprised when Akina found out that Mikoto was in the fated clash just like that (though I do like how both of them are just cool with it), as well as using the Fated one card against Megumi.
Now for the fight, well not surprising that Megumi lost this one because of Divinez skill but one thing really intrigued me, the episode fooled me for a second for believing Megumi is just using her regular Magnolia deck because of Lotte, at least until she rode her grade 1 and 2 that is, that is not the regular Charis and Lattice which can only mean one thing, a new Magnolia form, which I don't know why but the first thing that came to my mind is that the new Magnolia form is gonna be called Magnolia Gloria, which is a play to her own nickname at her school. Now I don't know if a new Magnolia form is guaranteed to become a reality but if it does it can mean one thing, At some point in this series Megumi is gonna use this new Magnolia against someone, or not we'll see.
Now for Krysrain, from what I undestand from this episode Krysrain's first skill is most likely and ACT skill where by paying the cost she can activate the following abilities according to the number of units with different names,
1 = draw one and ECharge 3,
2 = gets Power +15000 and
3 = gets Crit +1, and;
It's second skill, the Divinez skill is that it returns all your rear
guards to your hand and calling one card from your hand to RC and it's Power and Crit becoming the same as Krysrain
What do I think of Krysrain, honestly it's easy to fulfill the different name quota, but it's gonna be a bit hard to find proper synergy for this card because of it, you really gonna have different plays when playing this deck, which I guess makes sense since Krysrain's title is "Ever-changing", it's Divinez allows you to have an option to call out Trigger units or even PG's to RC since your returning them to your hand anyways and can be useful against retiring decks since your field at that point would only have one rear guard, and a 4th attacker copying Krysrains Power and Crit, this skill also makes sense for "Ever-changing" since it can refer to the unit being called to change.
Now for Suo, so his reasoning for joining is because of fate, fate has chosen him, a person with no desires and wishes to the Fated clash and he's the Fated one of Zero... I predict the Divinez skill is gonna be either one or neither of the following:
1. Is like Stil Vampir from OG Vanguard but this time your guaranteed to become grade 0.
2. It zeros out your resources CB, Soul, Energy, etc.
3. Reduces Your vanguard to zero, Grade, Power, Crit.
Next Episode is Taizo VS Mikoto, on one hand I feel like Mikoto will win because of the potential storytelling and character dynamic between Akina and Mikoto in their eventual clash, on the other hand I feel like Taizo will win probably because of the title of the next episode "The Guiding Star of Ever-changing" meaning probably throughout the fight Taizo will talk some sense into Mikoto, which makes sense now looking at it considering Taizo is a son of a CEO and probably feels the same pressure Mikoto does, but again we'll see.
Remember when there were the Bermuda Triangle vs Dragons and Knights in the Link Joker season xD Shingo just.... You know xD

Mikoto is such an interesting character. An idol and Vanguard Dear Day streamer who beat Megumi in her first actual cardfight. I wonder how her match with Taizo will go

It’s sadly funny how they keep finding ways for Megumi to lose yet I personally know that people are going to complain about Megumi being a jobber again which she has lately and I understand why people would feel upset about it. 😂🤣
I personally find Krysrain’s ability fascinating and while I know that some people are not going to be a fan of it because it is a bit cheap and dumb on one hand but at the same time, I personally like it because it feels very fitting for Mikoto.
And secondly, I am starting to become a superfan of Lyrical Monsterio and Krysrain especially, the aesthetics of her artwork/illustration is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen personally, lol!!! 😂
So no fated clash fight? I guess I shoulda known. With only 6 fated decks there’s only 6 episodes they can make into divine fights. 3 for the elimination rounds then top 4 then top 2
if the fight after this is fated one of zero vs fated one of taboo then that leaves 3 people in the competition and 1 one person will get a freebie in the final
But suddenly a plot twist happens as the masked guy disturbs the Fated Clash and acts as final boss, so other Fated Ones revived in the Clash again and fight back with different matchups than before 😂
Or he will appear as major villain in DivineZ s2 who knows lol

A sweaty Gandee player is forced into the Fated Clash with the jankiest highlander VG with a 1/fight 4 attacks (after that it's just 3 attacks) mechanic, such a strange way to debut Lyrical in overdress after like 5 seasons of them simply not existing.
At times like these i wish they animated the rear-guards to see Melty and Yuika in the big screen
Will Dear Days get more updates? The anime has shown many footage of a Cardfight Vanguard video game with great resemblance of Dear Days though.

Kinda late but didn't Vanguard lost it's magic after Gyze's destruction and the severed connection between earth and planet cray? With fated clash happening, does it mean that the connection between earth and planet cray is coming back and weird things like psyqualia and different dimension ride will come back too?

For now, the Lyrical fated one is the weakest of the bunch. If the deck really is a highlander deck, then the whole thing is a potential mess.

I mean if the only requirement is that you have at least 5 different names but can have dupes it won't be that bad of a highlander. It'd be more like building Clarissa without the archetype restriction. Now if the skill turns off if you have even one dupe in play then there is gonna be an issue.
