Hopefully seeing Suo bond with the others. It would be an hilarious contrast to how he behaved this season. Imagine if the others eventually told suo about how "he could have killed himself and everyone during the fated clash" and suo could only meekly say "i apologize for the inconvinience" while akina trying to say it wasn't a big deal
I mean second season is highly likely just not for a bit cause the next booster does not seem to be related to anything here, but the way the cards are worded and even Nao's character episode, highly suggest the next season will feature Divinez characters.

Those moments where Akina hugged present-time Hikari and Suo apologized to his uncle for making him worry were so adorable that I teared up ;). It's also sad that future Hikari disappeared but at least her wish came true :). But that last scene was frightening...
The extra week we had to wait for this two parter was so worth it with how breathtaking the animation was, and that new soundtrack near the end of the fight was absolutely incredible. Now that’s how you end the last fight of a season on a high note! I know a lot of fans wanted Suo to win, but it makes more sense that Akina won instead since his whole deal is about being able to change fate. Speaking of Suo, it turns out that when he got his emotions back, he’s surprisingly an awkward dork who can be a bit of a sore loser. I’m hoping we’ll see more of him like this next season. Akina managed to make his wish come true, but it came at the price of Future Hikari being erased from existence. Yet, despite Gab warning her of their, Future Hikari was still determined to ensure her brother survived the Fated Clash. At least Akina’s wish was granted with no strings attached and Taizou has the mask she wore as a memento to remember her by. Of course there’d be more to the Fated Clash then just getting a wish granted if you win, but it’ll be continued as a new tournament. This leaves many questions: Why did the Fated Clash needed to happened? Who else will be selected to compete in it? Will it be a mix of old and new characters from overDress & DivineZ, or will it be an entirely new cast? And most importantly, who was that purple plushie at the end? It looked like it could be a split personality of Gab, but we’ll (hopefully) get answers to those next season.
On the Nao tournament ep we saw that Blonde girl so I'm betting new cast. I do hope since its destiny that Encounter cards finally make an appearance. Future Vs History
The Fated Clash was Gabwelius’s chance to stand up against that Evil Plushie it seems by gathering his strong Fated fighters and training them through battle in order for them to be strong enough to be able to handle the REAL challenges up again in the Destined Showdown so they can win and defeat the evil plush.
I actually have a few question/theory about liel that could lead to future hikari return. Is this me copiuming yes. But I do think there’s a solid shot
I also think that this was the best choice cause it gave the best of both worlds. Akina was able to change fate and suo could reclaim what was lost. I think suo winning would defeat the purpose of the series that no matter how small your odds are if you don’t give up a miracle can happen!
@@jamesluong5299 for me, I wanted Suo to win but the real Miracle was from Akina changing Suo attitude similar to here. Then changes his wish by having Hikari sickness to disappear, still in line with Blangdmire's abilities.
First of all respect to Liael for saving the love of her life Rezael, and even though I wanted Suo to win and helped Akina out with his wish, this was still a great episode nonetheless. Gotta love Akina and Suo's rivalry dynamic.
So we're finally at the second half of end game. I must give credit where credit is due this Series has been quite refreshing from overdress and will dress. The characters are very interesting, the battles entertaining, and Gabwelius seems to be heavily implying that there's more to this that meets his plushie little eyes. It's too early to say I'm looking forward to the next season but I'm sincerely hope they stick the landing of this episode so I can hold some expectations.
And thus, Akina and Rezael win the Fated One Grail War (because let's be honest, it felt like a Cardfight version of Fate). Suo now has his heart back, Future Hikari returns back to her time, Mikoto is subtly making a move on Akina (Nao-san! Fight for your man!), Present Hikari is better now, and Cardfighting continues! Good season, in my books.
Fated Clas= 運命大戦 (unmeitaisen) Predetermined Showdown= 宿命決戦(shukumeikessen) While 運命(unmei) and 宿命(shukumei) means destiny and fate, there is a subtle difference. 運命 is destiny that happens in the future which doesn’t require human’s reasoning. 宿命 is destiny that happens because something happens in past and have to deal with cause and effect; it often associates with karmic effect and more used in buddhist text. For example, Hikari has destiny(運命) to die of sickness. While, Since you kill my father, it is destiny(宿命) that you are my enemy.
Another subtle translation. 大戦 means royal battle to find one winner. 決戦 is battle to see who is winner between two sides. So we might get team battle next season. I hope for Akina Nao Suo Mikoto vs new enemies.
I was initially thinking that the fight between Akina and Suo was over a bit too early, but the other elements of the story made up for it. The happiness and laughters, new friendships, the hint of inevitable sadness and the cliff hanger were together, like the perfect ending for this. Wonder what we'll see next. Excited! Also, SUO ACTUALLY SAID THE LINE I FREQUENTLY USE IN REAL LIFE!!!! (Why wouldn't I? I'm human after all.)
Honestly, I’ve found the writing this season really hit or miss overall (especially with Sui), but I need to admit; This last episode was really well done. The writing around the Fight was solid, the characterisation was good, I liked how they concluded Suo’s arc (even if it felt like a second take on Ibuki’s). Good going dudes.

And there it is. My goodness what a ride. Not perfect, almost I'd say, but a HUGE improvement for the last saga. And highly recommended I'd say cuz in a way it's a self contained season. When the darkness fades from Suo's eyes, that hits really hard. Very happy to see the boy all normal and dorky in sense lol. That said very bittersweet for future Hikari. She got what she wished for and more but at the cost of her own existence. And when Taizo held her mask my Goodness the feels. At the very least she'll live through present Hikari so that's nice to know. So, the Destined Showdown huh. The first season it centers around fate. And now, destiny.

Season 1 revolves around fate while season 2 will revolve around destiny. I’m willing to bet that season 3 would then revolve around something like paradoxes or choices.

Something I just notice 2 things about Akina and hikari 1) both rezeal and liael where the only two who didn’t have two on screen fight rezael had 4 and liael had one 2) both Akina and hikari who won fated clash both of there wish was for the sake of another
If they had the budget for one extra episode that akina losses, that shows ikari suffering before get to the past. Tha audience would start crying like crazy
Not bad, im very impressed wif the execution of this season. Compared to the other series prior, this seeason stands out the most. The side characters get enuf character growth and screentime. Its starts off strong and ends with a satisfying ending. The story this time really fixed a lot of major issues the previous ones had! Keep up the good work!🫡🫡🫡

So, due to the butterfly effects, what doesn’t belong to the current fixed timeline will be removed. But I wonder one thing, then what would happen with the Fate One of Time card?

The final episode of Divinez was amazing. Akina changed his destiny with the Fated One of Time, Suo is back to normal, and Hikari’s illness is cured. I’m still curious about who Masanori was talking to. I guess we’ll find out in the next season.
Masanori asked the same question for Gabwelius so in this new instance he is either talking to the new plushie or just a monologue (like, talking to the red planet)

So far from what i picked up (I can be wrong), since the Fated Clash was possible after the death of Griphogila... could it be that the Fated Clash was meant to gather the worthy fighters to combat against the possible new Dragontree? (Remember, even at a Dragontree's death, it will have a seed anytime still.) Theres also the possible fact that Gabwelius simply wants to exhaust the Design Force via the Fated Clash. Like some sort of cleanup, or the Dragontree picking up the necessary magic to return and destroy Cray... Yeah darned Masques time should return.
I honestly wanted to agree as I think the Dragontree is somehow related to Gyze due to the Z part of Divinez name. Z was also included the vanguard series part where he was in CF Vanguard G: Z. Dragontree also is based on the Tree of Qliphot which is supposed to represent evil in the world opposed to the tree of life. Gyze is supposed to the be the god of destruction in a way right so this just makes sense to me.
A bittersweet ending to a great story, future hikari gave everything to make sure her brother Akina could have a good future a happy future even though she won't get to experience it herself, in the end this is the true good ending for them
I like this series, my only complaint is just that it became predictable halfway through, and not forgetting that because Liael's skill was revealed beforehand, it made Akina guarding with Liael less surprising. Spoilers! Like I said at the beginning I like this series, I really like Akina as a protagonist and I like how characters interact in the series especially between the participants. Now for this Episode I find it interesting that when Akina was using Liael, her face in the cardart is covered by her wings and then reverts back when Future Hikari gets her back, it's like she's only giving Akina a fraction of her power, another moment in this episode that I did like though is the fact that Rezael's skill is still active, which is interesting since I thought Blangdmire gets rid of any skill a cardfighter gets and they can't get it back, guess I was wrong. So the most probable reason why Suo became what he was, was because of the accident and his grief was so deep that he just tuned out all his precious memories and the world, making him forget important things like how his parents love Vanguard. I just love how his face looks less intimidating and how he's super eager to cardfight against Akina it's like Michiru 2.0, also found it funny how both Suo and Mikoto caused a commotion in Akina's school, but it's not all happy, since the future has changed it meant that Future Hikari ceases to exist, what makes it more sadder is the fact that she had to lie to Akina so that Akina wouldn't feel bad for her, again I really like their sibling relationship, also like how Taizo has Future Hikari's mask as she probably entrusted it to him. *BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!* So the winner of the Fated Clash actually got their wish, that's good, but now (of course it's not over) there's a new threat "Why was the Fated Clash held?" and then another plushie introduces the Destined Showdown (I will not be surprised if "Destined One of" cards were created after this). Okay two things: 1. The Fated Clash was held most probably so that the winner would then participate in the Destined Showdown in order to change the destiny on Planet Cray, one thing to note though is the fact that in the original timeline (Future Hikari so were on the same page here) Hikari went back in time after winning the second one and then this timeline happened, because of it fate has indeed changed. Most likely there will be "Destined One" participants which might include the girl we saw in Episode 8. 2. Something bad is happening to Cray that these events are happening left and right. For now we have to wait, cause this is getting interesting, since Cray is beginning to become a part of this series' story as well.
I am so nostalgic rn, but the fact that Hikari knew what her avatar wanted...just reminds me back to the OG series. It's the little things like that but actually seeing the cards influence the players due to their bond just hits home and also the fact the fact Blangdmire chose Suou for his love of Vanguard deep down also hits...like damn this my fav series in a while
I use to be heavy cardfight anime watcher in the g era but glad this is what I came back to! this was so good and I think I might go watch some of the other season! I know a lot people want suo to win! but I love this cause it the best of both worlds. cause for me I felt in this case it would've defeat the purpose of the story! that no matter how tough the challenge there is always a way! that said I'm so sad about hikari! her story was so good and ends a bitter sweet tragedy! although I am holding out a tiny bit hope that she'll be Brought back in the future. I think a solid 10% chance 😂. cause there are a few holes that suspect could lead to her return even if it may be a stretch! great season and really enjoyed it! can't wait for season 2!!!
Every vanguard MC has a wack AF final turn during their season finales😭 the back and forth in this one was really cool to watch, since we don’t get stuff like that often anymore. I’ve enjoyed this season so much. Ok so Taizo comparing wishes and desires and then the post credits scene implying the existence of another set albeit “destiny” could mean that we get a set of 6 “destined ones” fueled by desires instead of wishes compared to the fated ones

It literally remove any skill based, and calculation based scenario when OT is revealed. lets hope either they make a new format where OT is banned, or maybe just nerf them to give 50k power or something like that

Overdress is weird for me, will dress really have vibe "High stake fight" that make me super excited. But divinez is on another level of epic. The big bro is fighting for his little sister, and the little sister is leap to the past for save her big bro even if she disappeare. I can't wait for Season2
man its sad to see adult hikari disappear was really sad to see her go but hey at least she was able to change the fate of her brother to a much brighter one and I wonder if the angel of time will come back to young hikari again because it would interesting to see adult hikari give her younger self the angel of time card again that's what I'm hopeing for and also season 2 is confirmed I can't wait to see what happens next in the story

I loved this season, the full vanguard content I've watched since the end of the shinemon arc and Gaiden If. With the break until S2, I may watch OverDress and Will+Dress.
Overdress S1 is the most disliked season because Overdress is a more realistic approach to Vanguard , i enjoyed all D series to be honest . Overdress S2 is better , and Will+Dress improves on what Overdress did and the final episode of W+D starts the supernatural events of DivineZ. The thing with W+D is that a lot of characters are wasted because there are too many characters ( tournament arc) and a lot of fights are skipped , DivineZ S1 fixes this even giving two of those characters screen time
To that one guy's comment about Hikari I replied to a couple episodes ago: I called it But overall, fantastic finale. Excellent animation, pure hype, wholesome times, happy ending, and a tease for things to come. Probably the best season finale since S1 of Overdress
After watching the final episode I got to admit they stuck The Landing the ending was bittersweet but overall very satisfying. And honestly I'm looking forward to what they're setting up for season 2 *"The Fated Showdown"* wonder what that will entail~
It's too bad future Hikari couldn't be healed too, you would think she would because she and the younger version are both his sick sister. Giving her just a little time with the miracle her brother worked so hard for.
The ending of Apocalyspe felt weird here (and they could have made Suo draw a heal over the Stem Deviate to prove Akina actually needed the draw trigger in order to win-because as it stands now if he had seen the crit it was game) but otherwise that was great. Future Hikari dying felt like a good way not to deal with time shenanigans and yeah. All around it is so far the only series from D I felt like I could fully watch for enjoyment and not just out of obligation (and also not just skip straight to the fights). Can't wait to see season 2
when fated one grant wish or lose to anthor fated one in offical match they lose the desgin force they also grant wish base of name on card like time = time travel for Liael and Mircale = healing for Rezael etc. So i wonder at very end Hikari Liael still had desgin force does that mean her wish techinally wasn't granted lol?
I feel that Akina will lose but his effort reaches Suo. So Suo wishes for Akina to be his friend. Something like this. For some reason I don’t want Akina to win.

I feel we just finish Fate Route. Akina has the same shortcoming as shirou that he want to save everyone even it is beyond him. Hope they address that in next season.
There is one contradiction there. Hikari won the previous Fated Clash, but Gab didn't reveal the true purpose of Fated Clash to her. Fated Clash was the first stage of something bigger, whether it is in the present or in the future. So that's kinda a plot hole.
I wish Suo had still won, but his wish had changed. Not even fully reformed by the end of the battle, but wishing to cry, to feel those emotions he shut away from, to remember caring even it hurts. Show that you don't need to win, to be the best to change hearts and change fates. Would've sucked for Hikari, but it's not like she couldn't have gotten better on her own later. She held out a long time after a tragic loss and being really stressed out, so there definitely was time for new treatments to be discovered or to meet a specialist (probably at a vanguard tournament)

He already shed a tear and started to remember few bits of his past even before Akina wins the fight. What you want as his wish for when he wins, he pretty much already got it through Akina's persistence. As for Hikari, I think people missed one big thing that affects her: the impact of her condition to her normal life. Even with the latest treatments, if she doesn't/can't fully recover, it'll affect her life. Medications, trigger cautions, mandatory check ups (worse, being hospitalized for days). Even if Hikari is fine with it, same thing can't be said to Akina. And that's the real intention of his wish: so she can live her life without being bound by her condition.
@@dindapriska Yeah, I just wish Suo had gotten more time to develop. I like his character arc, but it felt rather swift. I would've liked to see him crack a little and show some more feelings before this, even for a moment before surpressing them. The season was just too short to properly handle a character like that, while also giving other characters their space, imho. I fundamentally dislike the premise of "one loss and you're out, so the mc has to win every match" and this would've been an opportunity for them to subvert that. It's true that other characters got to grow and achieve their goals without winning divine intervention, but I also feel like most of them had less serious wishes than Akina. Healing your chronically sick sister and wanting to go pro at vanguard are just not on the same level. "Just git gud lol". No one else had such high stakes or difficult to attain goals to begin with, so them managing to do it without winning the fated clash feels very "duh" to me.
@@Valdrius DivineZ (and Dress series in general) would've benefited so much more from longer episode slots, at least 24 or maybe more. People keep saying it gets predictable, has a lot of plot armor, MC keeps winning, and all that, but then they forgot/didn't see that the staff are only given 13 episode slots to cook a tournament arc. Even Will+Dress' tournament suffered from that, and the setting was a swiss round (not one round and out). So yeah, DivineZ tournament setting is fine due to the narrative nature of it, they just needed more training and off Clash fights to balance the fact that MC can't lose the the main fights. Especially when they revealed that there are real lives at stake. I do agree that main issue is the wishes, excluding Taizo who didn't intend to participate at first, Suo with his wacky wish to die(?), and Masanori who didn't take it too seriously in the first place, aren't on the same level as MC.
@@bosnianphantom480 Is more common nowadays with some exceptions, instead on making a full lenght season with over 100 episodes that cost A LOT OF MONEY, they prefer to invest in shorter seasons with few episodes and take mid season breaks, this is both good and bad; but hey, if that is how Bushi prefers to do things it means it is working for them. There are some series, both live action and animated, that prefer to release the whole season immediatly while others prefer to release a new epidose per week. I like more the latter.

To be truthful, Hikari not being able to go back may have been a good decision as Future Hikari was running out of time due to her sickness and going back was using whatever time she had left to save her brother.
Yeah, since her original timeline is deleted due to the change of fate, her existence is also wiped out to fix the history timeline. So she couldn’t be back again, as current Hikari is still exist.
Sad Future Hikari got erased in new timeline but at least she save her brother and let her Present self not suffer same fate as her, also since Future Hikari is gone, i wonder will Present Hikari gain Amorta in next season ?
I really did suspect that the Fated Clash was darker than it actually was. Plus there is the whole designer force thing, there will be evil people trying to harness it, as it seems that the designer force can manipulate reality to a certain degree.

Imagine if the others eventually told suo about how "he could have killed himself and everyone during the fated clash" and suo could only meekly say "i apologize for the inconvinience" while akina trying to say it wasn't a big deal
I mean second season is highly likely just not for a bit cause the next booster does not seem to be related to anything here, but the way the cards are worded and even Nao's character episode, highly suggest the next season will feature Divinez characters.

D series has been amazing with final fights. But still my favorite so far is when Yuyu vs Raika.
Those moments where Akina hugged present-time Hikari and Suo apologized to his uncle for making him worry were so adorable that I teared up ;). It's also sad that future Hikari disappeared but at least her wish came true :). But that last scene was frightening...
Akina: "Don't worry, Suo... from now on "I" will become your mother!"
Suo: "... ... ... (oh god, no)"
The extra week we had to wait for this two parter was so worth it with how breathtaking the animation was, and that new soundtrack near the end of the fight was absolutely incredible. Now that’s how you end the last fight of a season on a high note!
I know a lot of fans wanted Suo to win, but it makes more sense that Akina won instead since his whole deal is about being able to change fate.
Speaking of Suo, it turns out that when he got his emotions back, he’s surprisingly an awkward dork who can be a bit of a sore loser. I’m hoping we’ll see more of him like this next season.
Akina managed to make his wish come true, but it came at the price of Future Hikari being erased from existence. Yet, despite Gab warning her of their, Future Hikari was still determined to ensure her brother survived the Fated Clash. At least Akina’s wish was granted with no strings attached and Taizou has the mask she wore as a memento to remember her by.
Of course there’d be more to the Fated Clash then just getting a wish granted if you win, but it’ll be continued as a new tournament. This leaves many questions: Why did the Fated Clash needed to happened? Who else will be selected to compete in it? Will it be a mix of old and new characters from overDress & DivineZ, or will it be an entirely new cast? And most importantly, who was that purple plushie at the end? It looked like it could be a split personality of Gab, but we’ll (hopefully) get answers to those next season.
On the Nao tournament ep we saw that Blonde girl so I'm betting new cast. I do hope since its destiny that Encounter cards finally make an appearance. Future Vs History
The Fated Clash was Gabwelius’s chance to stand up against that Evil Plushie it seems by gathering his strong Fated fighters and training them through battle in order for them to be strong enough to be able to handle the REAL challenges up again in the Destined Showdown so they can win and defeat the evil plush.
I actually have a few question/theory about liel that could lead to future hikari return. Is this me copiuming yes. But I do think there’s a solid shot
I also think that this was the best choice cause it gave the best of both worlds. Akina was able to change fate and suo could reclaim what was lost. I think suo winning would defeat the purpose of the series that no matter how small your odds are if you don’t give up a miracle can happen!
@@jamesluong5299 for me, I wanted Suo to win but the real Miracle was from Akina changing Suo attitude similar to here. Then changes his wish by having Hikari sickness to disappear, still in line with Blangdmire's abilities.
First of all respect to Liael for saving the love of her life Rezael, and even though I wanted Suo to win and helped Akina out with his wish, this was still a great episode nonetheless. Gotta love Akina and Suo's rivalry dynamic.
So we're finally at the second half of end game. I must give credit where credit is due this Series has been quite refreshing from overdress and will dress. The characters are very interesting, the battles entertaining, and Gabwelius seems to be heavily implying that there's more to this that meets his plushie little eyes.
It's too early to say I'm looking forward to the next season but I'm sincerely hope they stick the landing of this episode so I can hold some expectations.
And thus, Akina and Rezael win the Fated One Grail War (because let's be honest, it felt like a Cardfight version of Fate). Suo now has his heart back, Future Hikari returns back to her time, Mikoto is subtly making a move on Akina (Nao-san! Fight for your man!), Present Hikari is better now, and Cardfighting continues! Good season, in my books.

While 運命(unmei) and 宿命(shukumei) means destiny and fate, there is a subtle difference. 運命 is destiny that happens in the future which doesn’t require human’s reasoning. 宿命 is destiny that happens because something happens in past and have to deal with cause and effect; it often associates with karmic effect and more used in buddhist text.
For example, Hikari has destiny(運命) to die of sickness. While, Since you kill my father, it is destiny(宿命) that you are my enemy.
Another subtle translation. 大戦 means royal battle to find one winner. 決戦 is battle to see who is winner between two sides. So we might get team battle next season. I hope for Akina Nao Suo Mikoto vs new enemies.

I was initially thinking that the fight between Akina and Suo was over a bit too early, but the other elements of the story made up for it. The happiness and laughters, new friendships, the hint of inevitable sadness and the cliff hanger were together, like the perfect ending for this. Wonder what we'll see next. Excited!
Also, SUO ACTUALLY SAID THE LINE I FREQUENTLY USE IN REAL LIFE!!!! (Why wouldn't I? I'm human after all.)
I'm relieved that suo has returned to his original self thanks to Akina but am saddened for Hikari's future self

Honestly, I’ve found the writing this season really hit or miss overall (especially with Sui), but I need to admit; This last episode was really well done. The writing around the Fight was solid, the characterisation was good, I liked how they concluded Suo’s arc (even if it felt like a second take on Ibuki’s). Good going dudes.

And there it is. My goodness what a ride. Not perfect, almost I'd say, but a HUGE improvement for the last saga. And highly recommended I'd say cuz in a way it's a self contained season.
When the darkness fades from Suo's eyes, that hits really hard. Very happy to see the boy all normal and dorky in sense lol.
That said very bittersweet for future Hikari. She got what she wished for and more but at the cost of her own existence. And when Taizo held her mask my Goodness the feels. At the very least she'll live through present Hikari so that's nice to know.

Something I just notice 2 things about Akina and hikari
1) both rezeal and liael where the only two who didn’t have two on screen fight rezael had 4 and liael had one
2) both Akina and hikari who won fated clash both of there wish was for the sake of another
If they had the budget for one extra episode that akina losses, that shows ikari suffering before get to the past. Tha audience would start crying like crazy

Not bad, im very impressed wif the execution of this season. Compared to the other series prior, this seeason stands out the most. The side characters get enuf character growth and screentime. Its starts off strong and ends with a satisfying ending.

So, due to the butterfly effects, what doesn’t belong to the current fixed timeline will be removed. But I wonder one thing, then what would happen with the Fate One of Time card?

The final episode of Divinez was amazing. Akina changed his destiny with the Fated One of Time, Suo is back to normal, and Hikari’s illness is cured. I’m still curious about who Masanori was talking to. I guess we’ll find out in the next season.
Whoever they are, they are probably the same as Gabwelius. The same kind of entity. And, it's probably an omen of something worst.

So far from what i picked up (I can be wrong), since the Fated Clash was possible after the death of Griphogila... could it be that the Fated Clash was meant to gather the worthy fighters to combat against the possible new Dragontree? (Remember, even at a Dragontree's death, it will have a seed anytime still.) Theres also the possible fact that Gabwelius simply wants to exhaust the Design Force via the Fated Clash. Like some sort of cleanup, or the Dragontree picking up the necessary magic to return and destroy Cray... Yeah darned Masques time should return.

I honestly wanted to agree as I think the Dragontree is somehow related to Gyze due to the Z part of Divinez name. Z was also included the vanguard series part where he was in CF Vanguard G: Z. Dragontree also is based on the Tree of Qliphot which is supposed to represent evil in the world opposed to the tree of life. Gyze is supposed to the be the god of destruction in a way right so this just makes sense to me.

A bittersweet ending to a great story, future hikari gave everything to make sure her brother Akina could have a good future a happy future even though she won't get to experience it herself, in the end this is the true good ending for them
Her wish was to give hikari the time back with her brother that felt stolen from her just unfortunately she wasnt talking about her self.
I like this series, my only complaint is just that it became predictable halfway through, and not forgetting that because Liael's skill was revealed beforehand, it made Akina guarding with Liael less surprising.

Like I said at the beginning I like this series, I really like Akina as a protagonist and I like how characters interact in the series especially between the participants.
Now for this Episode I find it interesting that when Akina was using Liael, her face in the cardart is covered by her wings and then reverts back when Future Hikari gets her back, it's like she's only giving Akina a fraction of her power, another moment in this episode that I did like though is the fact that Rezael's skill is still active, which is interesting since I thought Blangdmire gets rid of any skill a cardfighter gets and they can't get it back, guess I was wrong.
So the most probable reason why Suo became what he was, was because of the accident and his grief was so deep that he just tuned out all his precious memories and the world, making him forget important things like how his parents love Vanguard.
I just love how his face looks less intimidating and how he's super eager to cardfight against Akina it's like Michiru 2.0, also found it funny how both Suo and Mikoto caused a commotion in Akina's school, but it's not all happy, since the future has changed it meant that Future Hikari ceases to exist, what makes it more sadder is the fact that she had to lie to Akina so that Akina wouldn't feel bad for her, again I really like their sibling relationship, also like how Taizo has Future Hikari's mask as she probably entrusted it to him.
*BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!*
So the winner of the Fated Clash actually got their wish, that's good, but now (of course it's not over) there's a new threat "Why was the Fated Clash held?" and then another plushie introduces the Destined Showdown (I will not be surprised if "Destined One of" cards were created after this). Okay two things:
1. The Fated Clash was held most probably so that the winner would then participate in the Destined Showdown in order to change the destiny on Planet Cray, one thing to note though is the fact that in the original timeline (Future Hikari so were on the same page here) Hikari went back in time after winning the second one and then this timeline happened, because of it fate has indeed changed. Most likely there will be "Destined One" participants which might include the girl we saw in Episode 8.
2. Something bad is happening to Cray that these events are happening left and right.
For now we have to wait, cause this is getting interesting, since Cray is beginning to become a part of this series' story as well.
I am so nostalgic rn, but the fact that Hikari knew what her avatar wanted...just reminds me back to the OG series. It's the little things like that but actually seeing the cards influence the players due to their bond just hits home and also the fact the fact Blangdmire chose Suou for his love of Vanguard deep down also hits...like damn this my fav series in a while
I use to be heavy cardfight anime watcher in the g era but glad this is what I came back to! this was so good and I think I might go watch some of the other season! I know a lot people want suo to win! but I love this cause it the best of both worlds. cause for me I felt in this case it would've defeat the purpose of the story! that no matter how tough the challenge there is always a way! that said I'm so sad about hikari! her story was so good and ends a bitter sweet tragedy! although I am holding out a tiny bit hope that she'll be Brought back in the future. I think a solid 10% chance 😂. cause there are a few holes that suspect could lead to her return even if it may be a stretch! great season and really enjoyed it!

Every vanguard MC has a wack AF final turn during their season finales😭 the back and forth in this one was really cool to watch, since we don’t get stuff like that often anymore. I’ve enjoyed this season so much.
Ok so Taizo comparing wishes and desires and then the post credits scene implying the existence of another set albeit “destiny” could mean that we get a set of 6 “destined ones” fueled by desires instead of wishes compared to the fated ones

It literally remove any skill based, and calculation based scenario when OT is revealed. lets hope either they make a new format where OT is banned, or maybe just nerf them to give 50k power or something like that

This season was so good
Overdress is weird for me, will dress really have vibe "High stake fight" that make me super excited. But divinez is on another level of epic. The big bro is fighting for his little sister, and the little sister is leap to the past for save her big bro even if she disappeare. I can't wait for Season2
man its sad to see adult hikari disappear was really sad to see her go but hey at least she was able to change the fate of her brother to a much brighter one and I wonder if the angel of time will come back to young hikari again because it would interesting to see adult hikari give her younger self the angel of time card again that's what I'm hopeing for and also season 2 is confirmed I can't wait to see what happens next in the story

I loved this season, the full vanguard content I've watched since the end of the shinemon arc and Gaiden If. With the break until S2, I may watch OverDress and Will+Dress.
Overdress S1 is the most disliked season because Overdress is a more realistic approach to Vanguard , i enjoyed all D series to be honest . Overdress S2 is better , and Will+Dress improves on what Overdress did and the final episode of W+D starts the supernatural events of DivineZ. The thing with W+D is that a lot of characters are wasted because there are too many characters ( tournament arc) and a lot of fights are skipped , DivineZ S1 fixes this even giving two of those characters screen time

But overall, fantastic finale. Excellent animation, pure hype, wholesome times, happy ending, and a tease for things to come. Probably the best season finale since S1 of Overdress
After watching the final episode I got to admit they stuck The Landing the ending was bittersweet but overall very satisfying. And honestly I'm looking forward to what they're setting up for season 2 *"The Fated Showdown"* wonder what that will entail~

The ending of Apocalyspe felt weird here (and they could have made Suo draw a heal over the Stem Deviate to prove Akina actually needed the draw trigger in order to win-because as it stands now if he had seen the crit it was game) but otherwise that was great. Future Hikari dying felt like a good way not to deal with time shenanigans and yeah. All around it is so far the only series from D I felt like I could fully watch for enjoyment and not just out of obligation (and also not just skip straight to the fights). Can't wait to see season 2
when fated one grant wish or lose to anthor fated one in offical match they lose the desgin force they also grant wish base of name on card like time = time travel for Liael and Mircale = healing for Rezael etc. So i wonder at very end Hikari Liael still had desgin force does that mean her wish techinally wasn't granted lol?

There is one contradiction there. Hikari won the previous Fated Clash, but Gab didn't reveal the true purpose of Fated Clash to her. Fated Clash was the first stage of something bigger, whether it is in the present or in the future. So that's kinda a plot hole.

This finale was an 11 out of 10.
I wish Suo had still won, but his wish had changed. Not even fully reformed by the end of the battle, but wishing to cry, to feel those emotions he shut away from, to remember caring even it hurts.
Show that you don't need to win, to be the best to change hearts and change fates.
Would've sucked for Hikari, but it's not like she couldn't have gotten better on her own later. She held out a long time after a tragic loss and being really stressed out, so there definitely was time for new treatments to be discovered or to meet a specialist (probably at a vanguard tournament)

He already shed a tear and started to remember few bits of his past even before Akina wins the fight. What you want as his wish for when he wins, he pretty much already got it through Akina's persistence.
As for Hikari, I think people missed one big thing that affects her: the impact of her condition to her normal life. Even if Hikari is fine with it, same thing can't be said to Akina. And that's the real intention of his wish: so she can live her life without being bound by her condition.
@@dindapriska Yeah, I just wish Suo had gotten more time to develop. I like his character arc, but it felt rather swift. I would've liked to see him crack a little and show some more feelings before this, even for a moment before surpressing them. The season was just too short to properly handle a character like that, while also giving other characters their space, imho.
I fundamentally dislike the premise of "one loss and you're out, so the mc has to win every match" and this would've been an opportunity for them to subvert that.
It's true that other characters got to grow and achieve their goals without winning divine intervention, but I also feel like most of them had less serious wishes than Akina. Healing your chronically sick sister and wanting to go pro at vanguard are just not on the same level. "Just git gud lol". No one else had such high stakes or difficult to attain goals to begin with, so them managing to do it without winning the fated clash feels very "duh" to me.
@@Valdrius DivineZ (and Dress series in general) would've benefited so much more from longer episode slots, at least 24 or maybe more. People keep saying it gets predictable, has a lot of plot armor, MC keeps winning, and all that, but then they forgot/didn't see that the staff are only given 13 episode slots to cook a tournament arc. Even Will+Dress' tournament suffered from that, and the setting was a swiss round (not one round and out). So yeah, DivineZ tournament setting is fine due to the narrative nature of it, they just needed more training and off Clash fights to balance the fact that MC can't lose the the main fights. Especially when they revealed that there are real lives at stake.
I do agree that main issue is the wishes, excluding Taizo who didn't intend to participate at first, Suo with his wacky wish to die(?), and Masanori who didn't take it too seriously in the first place, aren't on the same level as MC.

@@bosnianphantom480 Is more common nowadays with some exceptions, instead on making a full lenght season with over 100 episodes that cost A LOT OF MONEY, they prefer to invest in shorter seasons with few episodes and take mid season breaks, this is both good and bad; but hey, if that is how Bushi prefers to do things it means it is working for them.
There are some series, both live action and animated, that prefer to release the whole season immediatly while others prefer to release a new epidose per week.
I like more the latter.

To be truthful, Hikari not being able to go back may have been a good decision as Future Hikari was running out of time due to her sickness and going back was using whatever time she had left to save her brother.
And she would've returned to a future where Akina is still dead which would defeat the entire point of her quest.
Yeah, since her original timeline is deleted due to the change of fate, her existence is also wiped out to fix the history timeline. So she couldn’t be back again, as current Hikari is still exist.

I really did suspect that the Fated Clash was darker than it actually was. Plus there is the whole designer force thing, there will be evil people trying to harness it, as it seems that the designer force can manipulate reality to a certain degree.
Part 2 of the series is always darker then part 1. Take will+dress for example. It's all shiny in part 1 then part 2 reveals Uniformers.
As if seeing someone come from future because his brother is annihilated just for dissapear is not dark enough...
