You’re the perfect person to get a dog because you are taking the responsibility so seriously and thinking it through. So many people don’t, and that’s why there’s so many dogs given away
As the owner of 5 dogs, 4 we got as pups, I think you will LOVE it. It’s kind of like a warm up to having children. The unconditional love that a dog provides cannot be beat ♥️🐶
getting a puppy from a rescue will be the happiest thing of your whole life! I am so excited for you - my husband always say no before but when they have them in their face it's always a yes lol get the baby into your life!! you will love to watch him blossom as a doggie daddy
I have mentioned this once before, and I sort of feel like a pita mentioning it again. You really should delve into the heavy metal link to PCOS, sweet potatoes, and cocoa powder are extremely high in heavy metals. Perhaps the average person wouldn’t develop PCOS from this but you were consuming enough sweet potato, to turn you orange, and you consume a substantial amount of cocoa powder. It seems like you should look into that. Also, most physicians aren’t open to our diet and how it can cause illnesses. They just want to medicate . I’m not a medical professional I’m just saying you’re obviously suffering with the medicine, so perhaps an alternative path would be something for you to consider.
Pets are such a blessing. Just remember when you mention having more of those day trips, there's a lot more coordinating with others and time management involved there.
Yes, planning in advance is crucial to making a seamless transition! For example, covers for the couches, a trusted person or pet sitting service to care for your baby when you need to go out of town, potty training! If those basic things can be taken care of, there’s no reason they can’t have a wonderful relationship with the new addition to the family😁👍🏻
To me it's not the day to day responsibility with the dog that will be difficult but those times you want to go on vacation. You just said you want to go on more mini trips. Do you have someone that will watch the dog? If so go for it but if not that's something you really need to consider.
23:07 My golden retriever is now 1.5 but I will not lie when I say I definitely got puppy blues when she first came home. I never grew up with a dog so realizing all the work I had to put in between potty training/behavioral training/ general care absolutely floored me. I luckily worked from home so I really was able to put the time in with her but it’s the side you never see when you just get to enjoy someone else’s dog or have only had older dogs. It definitely was a lot for the first 5/6-ish months and many little bouts of stress tears were shed lol, but now I have the best, sweetest, well tempered girl ever and all the extra work and stress I put in in the beginning has definitely paid off. I couldn’t imagine not having her as my best friend and companion! I’d also recommend getting pet insurance!!! My pup got sick a bunch early on (she ended up having a food allergy) and it’s honestly helped me save a lot of money after all the Veternary care she needed in the first year and just for piece of mind in case anything happens. I use lemonade and I pay ~$45/month because I signed her up so young!
I have a golden too! Just turned four 😭 the first two weeks I sobbed and thought I made a mistake (first dog I’ve had) but it truly gets better and everything is a phase. She’s the best and sooo well trained!
Yes, I was literally EXHAUSTED the week we got our puppy. It was straight up flashbacks to my kids being babies. It only took a couple weeks to adjust though and now we just love her so much. She is 7 months.
my husband and i went through something similar in regards to the dog situation. i have never ever been a dog person, despite growing up with dogs. have never desired to be a dog mom. never once budged when my husband brought up getting a dog. well i went on a girls trip to mexico (against his wishes) so in return he got a puppy that i came home to... it took a solid year, but i fell in love with her and am now a proud dog mom :) it is and has been a huge responsibility, but it has definitely prepared us for parenthood!
Hello Clancy, my husband and I got a puppy before having kids and we liked the choice we made because we have trained our dog correctly with the spare time we had, we don't let him on our couches and he doesn't destroy anything in our home and taught him to be gentle with children, now we have a baby on the way and our dog is trained and we don't have the challenges of taking care of our child and training a dog at the same time, also not saying having a dog is the same as having a kid, but a dog introduces you to understand how your partner and you will work together to take care of another being who doesn't understand rules or norms, it made us understand how we do together as a team teaching another living thing to engage in the world, good luck and I'm happy you're considering adopting , we adopted our dog , and love him so much , even on challenging days
Puppies are so exciting! My husband was the same way when we got married. He was unsure about getting a dog but as soon as we got ours, he instantly fell in love and they’re best friends (and workout buddies now 🤭) excited for you both and love your honesty. 🩷
This is why I love the word intentional instead of something like hard 75. You are planning to be more intentional about alcohol. I would never do dry January because I have no reason not to enjoy a glass of wine or a bourbon tasting on a date night or GNO once a month.
ADOPT THE DOG!!! You guys have the perfect set up, you work from home, and you have such a huge heart with lots of love to give. You'd be a perfect rescue mama!! And since Neil lives near you, he can watch the dog when you need to go out of town ;)
Go for it Clancy -- you will never know such unconditional love, joy and laughter -- I was single and adopted my Nigel (a Westie) when he was 8 weeks old - I loved that little guy with all of my heart and, yes, it is a huge and potentially expensive responsibility but it is completely worth it!!!
I was so nervous to get my first puppy as well however in my heart I knew I was ready and she’s 8 months now, and I’ve loved every second! Also being a “dog mom” I feel like is a good stepping stone before I become an actual mom! She’s my best friend. 🐶☺️
I am doing dry January just to re-frame my thinking around drinking. I definitely did not drink every day or every other day, but I realized that I had grabbed drinks "just because" and for no particular reason. Or, if I did have a reason, it was to "relax." Now that I am on Day 20., I have had fun experimenting. with ways to enjoy myself without having to reach for alcohol and it's been great. Love your vids Clancy! They always are the highlights of my week!
I got so lucky with my rescue dog, she’s amazing, but the thing I learned is “when you know, you know.” I had been researching breeds, thinking about what would be a good fit with my lifestyle, then one day I went to the rescue to meet one specific dog. It was NOT the right one, but then I saw this other little cutie and I just knew she was the one. Took her to training classes right away to bond and 8 years later we’re going strong! Biggest thing is just make sure the breed/personality is right for you - activity and space needs, training needs - invest the time in training to build good habits and bonds. Good luck!
The fact that you’re excited about it and have thought about it for so long shows that you are so ready for this!!! It is a huge responsibility but it’s so worth it! One thing I have done with our dogs when they were puppies was that i would mess with their heads and face when they would eat so they wouldn’t be food aggressive and I would check there mouth and ears so when they got older I would be able to check them and they would be okay with it. Also the sooner you train them on a leash, or any tricks (sit, stay, come, etc) the better it will be.
I can’t recommend the quick getaway more. My husband has Sundays and Mondays off so we book a hotel for Sunday and Monday night and come home in the morning on Tuesday. We have a relative staying with us for a few months so it’s nice to have a little “just us” get away. Are you taking Metformin? Are you on the Extended Release? If not you should be. This should alleviate the symptoms. You also need to make sure you are limiting your simple carbohydrates and make sure your fats are healthy ones. I speak from experience.
Truthfully, you have anxiety / obsessive about being on time. Just the hovering 60 min early will make the other person take their time. The day I said I’m giving up EVER bugging my partner over time, is the happiest day. It’s just done. It IS something you have to give up. You asked,
75 hard doesn’t teach you balance you’re right. I completed it and it set unrealistic expectations for my workout routine lol I felt lost afterwards. Glad I did it but I’m here to say just incorporate small healthy habits when you can it’s more sustainable
I smiled when you first brought up wanting to get a dog. You are so great with Walter. I’m so glad you are supporting a rescue organization! My husband and I have adopted two dogs from a local rescue organization. We’ve had Tucker 9 years and Mia 7 years now. We couldn’t love them anymore. They are our fur babies. And yes, they can be a lot of work. This week in particular Tucker isn’t feeling well and we’ve been cleaning up some messes. We are happy to take the not so fun parts with all the joy they bring. I know you and Zach will fall in love with the dog you end up with. They become family and steal your heart so fast ❤️🐶 I look forward to you introducing your dog/puppy to us when the time comes
Currently cuddling with my 12 year old dog that my husband and I got together as a puppy. Love him so much and can’t imagine life without him. He’s so chill now that he’s a senior but the puppy days were fun. Potty training a puppy in the winter was not fun. Otherwise no regrets! It’s been so nice for my kids to grow up with him in our family as well.
We have rescued four huskies & fostered three huskies…. Omg! Some where puppies to & they where great. Even the older dogs are also great. They take many weeks to adjust but once they do, it’s amazing!! One of them that we tried to save passed away in our arms at the vet due to parvo & it was the most traumatic moment in my life so far but loving them as long as possible & saving them if you can just fills my heart!! Crate training is very important in my opinion. They don’t have to stay in it constantly but knowing that it’s a safe place throughout their life is a good tool! 💕
1pm lunch if I'm at home but 11:30am-12pm of I'm out and about and being more active because I need the fuel and I hate breakfast because I feel sick if I eat more than some fruit.
Hey Clancy!! OMG get the puppy!!! My husband and I had like year in the new house when out of nowhere we got a golden retriver puppy! At the beginning is really hard (not gonna lie) wake ups in the middle of the night and changes all your life schedule and freedom (even I got some of what is called "buyers guilt") but later when they are growing is the best!!! Now she has 1 year and 5 months and is my baby!! Good tip, socializing with other dogs is good at the beginning and finding a group of dogs that can play together helps a lot to burn all the energy that they have!
As a first time puppy owner definitely do your research on the breed first. Make sure their temperament will work with your lifestyle. Also be prepared for the “puppy blues”. Even though the first few months were hard it was sooooo worth it!
Clancy, I live in Fort Worth, Texas and we just got a Portillos and I was like what the heck is that place but now I’m excited to go try it! ALSO, I think you should get a dog. I remember how much you loved your dog Molly. I have a dog that is like my CHILD. I love him so much. There’s nothing like having a loyal companion.
I rescued dogs. They’re the best dogs I’ve ever had. The youngest was a puppy mill puppy, and was abused. They’re both living their best life and I couldn’t be happier!
As a dog lover myself there's no right or wrong answer when trying to figure out when to bring in a puppy to your family. I highly recommend if you do end up getting this puppy look in the local trainers near you. My husband and I got a lab puppy during COVID because I was home alone and I was bored. She is now three and honestly the best decision ever and the best thing that came out of COVID.
See the puppies and you both will know whether you are ready to adopt a puppy or an older dog. Pets enrich us and are our responsibility so you both will know once you go see them. ❤
Happy Saturday Clancy and Zac!!! I love your vlogs so much and always look so forward to it ❤ your videos are truly my favourite!! You and Zac are so funny together 😂
Honestly patience is the best thing you can have with a puppy, but it is SO worth it in the end. My pup is 2.5yrs right now and I’ve had her since she was 13 weeks (she’s a rescue). The first year was tough because I was running a business and raising her both by myself, but now that she’s a bit older everything is great. She’s my best friends and we do everything together. It’s absolutely the best and most rewarding decision I’ve ever made!
My husband and I got a puppy last minute. (I had been looking for the right pup for 2 years, so I knew what to expect, but we didn’t even meet the puppy!) she is one of the best decisions! She gets along with our first dog so well. It is a pain for the first bit, but be prepped with LOTS chewing toys and get that puppy into training young and things get so much easier!
Maybe you and Zac could volunteer at your local shelter for a bit. I know you mentioned in another video that you wanted to volunteer more. That may be a good step for you both on the interest in a pet too.
Yes I love quick little weekend travels. I have enough make up and toiletries that I always keep my makeup big packed and my toiletry bag packed so all I have to do is throw in a little bit of clothes and that’s it. I mean even my chargers I have extra that I keep in a bag so like I said you just grab clothes
I may considered a weirdo for admitting this but I just want you to know that I watch your videos at least 2 or 3 times each. The first time, I sit down and watch it while I eat breakfast and then I get sad that it’s over and have to wait for a new one.. so then I replay them while I clean my house. 😂
Having dogs has been my greatest joy in life. I don’t have human children. As long as you know what you’re getting into and you intend to keep the dog for the long-haul, I think it’s a great decision. If you do get a puppy, while the first few months are difficult crate training and potty training, their adolescent time is the worst. That starts around 6 months. Stick with it. Sleep deprivation is a real thing with a puppy too! It gets better and it’s well worth it.
We rescued a little puppy 3 years ago (3 years passed this week) and it indeed is a huge respomsibility. Plans have to be adjsusted so many Times. Our dog has developed some behavioral issues so we are dedicating so much time and money to him. But. None of that matters, he is a part of our family, definitely we don't have such a comfortable life anymore (we don't have kids yet). But the amount of unconditional love that he delivers is something that I have never felt before. I would 100% make this decision once again
*waves* from Notre Dame heyyy welcome neighbors haha! Portillos is so good! I love their chopped salads! I have the same shoe addiction as Zac so - I get it! 🤣😂 Hi Jade! Bahahaha the zoom in as Zac is smashin' his has browns that was LOL!
This is the perfect time…you work from home so that makes your schedule so flexible…and you’ll have the pup all trained and a part of your family before the kids come!!! Good luck!!!❤❤❤
I got a puppy at the age of 24 and it was life changing for me! I work from home so I was able to make sure training was done correctly up front and now she is just over a year old and she is the best pup around! So long as you are diligent those first 6 months it's so worth it!
Thank you for another video! I wait all week for your content and the watching goes so fast. The dog…very exciting, they are cuddly, cute, companionship and fun with lots of added responsibility. I am a pet person through and through but I have to mention this- you talk about traveling more- what would you do with the puppy and then dog? Taking it to a family member is really A LOT to ask IMO (and remember I am a pet ‘parent’) and boarding is $$. Noodle on that part plz before you decide. Love ya girl!❤
Aww thank you!! 🥰 I wouldn’t travel for a while but eventually my brother said he’d be willing to watch the dog when I go away! He’s a huge animal lover 🥰
So excited to see if you get the puppy! I have 3 rescued cats and they are the light of my life ❤(im single, no kids, and can spoil them rotten😂) the rescues and shelters are absolutely bursting at the seams right now. No better time to adopt or foster ❤
It’s very rewarding to rescue and raise a pupper. I helped my ex raise a puppy. She is such a good girl now. So obedient, fun personality and loving. She still comes over for walks and sometimes I get her overnight. I live in a townhome so it was hard because every time she needs to go out you have to put her on a leash and walk her for her to go potty. She is allowed on the couch but she’s a short haired pittie -German Shepherd so she doesn’t shed that much and her hair is easy to take care of. My parents got a Golden Retriever puppy about 7 months after he got his puppy and he is Very hairy so he needs lots of brushing and trimming up around paws, back of legs, ears and pants. But he’s totally worth it. I walk him Sunday for my parents to give them a break and bond with him since I baby sit when they are gone. He has gone with us a lot more traveling than the last golden because he does good in a car and he gets along with most other dogs and he loves people. They wouldn’t fly him anywhere though. We just went to stay in an air bnb cabin for a late Christmas and both he and my sisters rescue got to go and it was a lot of fun watching them play. They both LOVE me and in fact my sisters dog came down after everyone went to bed and was whining outside my door and wanted to come in my room and snuggle with me which of course she did. We are not sure what she is but have my sister the dog dna test so she can test Daphne to see what breeds she is. She looks like Scooby doo so we think she has some Great Dane but she’s not as tall. She also has markings and fur like a mastiff but not as big and burly or tall either so mixed with a smaller large breed. She sent the test in a few weeks ago so we can’t wait. Having a dog really is rewarding if you have the time and money. I want one so bad but I just don’t have the money and my health is not stable enough right now as I have up to 5 migraines a week where I just survive and can’t take care of anything else. It’s rough.
I eat when I'm hungry during the day, not when the clock says I should. My husband lived in Chicago for 2 years and Portillos is life. We now have them in Central Florida and while I can't eat the Italian Beef (love), I CAN eat their burgers and onion rings. Soooooo good.
I think you know enough about dogs to know if you’re ready but do realize/remember that 1 or 2 day trips will be much more complicated. Will family (or friends) be willing to pet sit?
We had two rat terrier mixes who passed away within 4 months of each other (14 and 12 yrs old). I used to joke that between the 2 of them we had one great dog! I swore I would never have another dog because it hurt too much to lose them. Well...that lasted for a year. We adopted a puppy on St. Patrick's Day last year. The lady taking our application told us she looked up our previous adoptions (all from the Kentucky Humane Society) and said "wow, you guys really have a type" LOL! Tipper, our new dog, is a terrier/beagle mix. Her mother (Momma Malone) was featured on The Dodo last year for having a litter of 9!! Even with all the hassles of training and such, life is better with a dog. Best wishes to whatever decision you guys make.
I normally eat lunch mid to even late afternoon if I have a late breakfast, so I'm with you Clancy! You guys should definitely get a dog, I'm so excited to have my cat here with me and get a dog when I have more space and I'm finished with graduate school. Honestly surprised that you and Zac agreed to not have a dog, feels like such a natural step after moving into a home together!
I have a royal poodle and a golden doodle. Both non shedding. Both super smart. Both easy to train. I’ve had dogs my whole entire life. I had dachshunds for over half my life. Puppies can be a lot of work but I’d never ever be without a dog no matter what. There’s ways around vacays, day trips etc. but mine go almost everywhere with me. And I have an RV because of them😂. Best of luck. Shoes are to live for. Shoes for every activity and outfit. Lunch is whenever I feel like it. Happy day
Thank you for getting a rescue. All of mine are and they are the best. Mine have all been easy but all lab mixes so big dogs. Many don’t want big dogs but they are easier to train. I am so excited and feel we will see a puppy in your home soon!
Hi, Clancy and Happy Saturday!😊😊😊😊😊😎☀💙💙💙💙💙💙🌷💖💖💖💖💖💖🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇❄👍. Your clothing haul is so cute! The glasses, outfits, and the beautiful sweater with green and white stripes 20:13 is fabulous!😍😍😍😍😍😍👍.
The Shade Zac threw about the gifts!!! 😂😂 ..I'm sorry but the Rugrats Colored windbreaker will always be my fav!!! Honestly I loved your gifts for Zac, Clancy because you put actual thought into it and we're always so excited so you KNOW they came from the heart and honestly those gifts are gonna make the BEST stories for ur kids someday!! Everyone holiday my family sits around and tells stories about the silly things we've all done and we laugh SO MUCH! so I promise the gift giving Saga is gonna make for some GREAT family stories!! 😍
Aw i'm excited for you. I have a 4 month old Golden puppy. We work from home so we're able to dedicate the time but man potty training is a beast in the beginning. Definitely crate train and section off parts of the house or I actually kept mine on a leash for the most part inside to help with potty training so she was always with me and then had a section of the house blocked off so I could see her while she was off leash...really helped with accidents. If you have a petsmart nearby banfield has a really affordable puppy plan that includes a spay or neuter. Good luck!
Getting my dog was the best decision of my life. Very dramatic but I often cry of happiness because I love him so much haha. At this time my life was not where I wanted it to be, I wanted it to be “perfect” before I got him, but once I got him everything fell into place, and my Dad who was opposed to it absolutely fell in love with him. Not trying to speak for Zach but he will fall in love with it too. Also you work from home it’s perfect! Also it seems like you would have support from your mom and brother to take care of the dog if you want to travel. Xo
I fostered a few dogs until I got my first ever puppy. In the beginning, I thought I made the biggest mistake. I got a Lab/Shepard mix and omg he was a land shark! But just know if you run into the same situation, that stage is not forever and you just need to work though it with positive reinforcement and be consistent with training the basics. Highly recommend being consistent with potty and poop times as well, as it will pay off in the long run.
Updated with Zach's name corrected. I'm so sorry for the brain scramble. 1) On a normal day of eating breakfast around 7 or 8, yes, lunch at 2:00 can be late. 2) However, if you got up late and ate breakfast at 10 or 11, then you can easily make it to 2. 3) If one partner takes longer to get ready and the other one knows this is a trend, having a snack to stave of the hunger is probably in order. 4) That said, if the partner who takes a long time to get ready started getting ready earlier, knowing that they needed to get on the road, then then lunch could have been at the 11:30 - 12:30 range. All in all this boils down to consideration, communication and better planning. You've lived together long enough to know each other's planning skills and the way each of you reacts to triggers. Clancy, did you stay up all night working on something unexpected, thereby sleeping late and getting ready late? Then Zach needs to be considerate of that disruption that you had no control over. Did you stay up all night playing video games or binge watching Netflix? Then you need to be compassionate to Zach's frustration. Clancy, you belittled Zach's feelings about leaving late and said that he should pretend he is fasting. 1) That's not how fasting works. 2) You used to get up at 2:00 AM and got ready for work, in which you arrived to on time, so getting ready in a timely manner is possible. 3) Why buy him an expensive gift, that he was clearly excited for, and then taint it by being lax about getting on the road in time? Zach, you know Clancy takes a long time to get ready. 1) Did you check in with her in the morning to make sure the departure time was still agreed upon? 2) Living with Clancy, knowing she takes a long time to get ready and finding that the departure time would be later, why didn't you just have a snack to tide you over? I've been with my husband for 21 years and we rarely ever argue. Here's why: This was a planned event and the schedule should have been agreed on in advance and both of your actions should reflect this. Have an agreed upon time of departure and arrival to the event/location and as adults, you conduct yourselves according to that plan. Adulting in a marriage means being a team. Your goals are the same. You communicate and coordinate for the best possible outcome for everything. Check the route, check the weather, get everything you need together the night before, get a good nights rest, etc. Suggestion: keep snacks that weather well in a freezing environment like granola bars, nuts, trail mix, etc. You might even have a road trip snack box for fun. Because besides being off-schedule with travel plans may not be your only hold up. Breakdowns, flat tires, heavy traffic, difficult weather (hello Midwest!) or a big accident could make a 2:00 PM lunch into a 6:00 PM dinner. It's almost seems as if you trying to ruffle each other's feathers and over time these little spats and arguments can break down a marriage. You both nip at each other instead of getting down to the heart of the problem. As for the puppy, I run a dog care website. One of the critical things for you to assess (beyond your allergies) is the breed or breeds that make up your dog and to know the characteristics of each breed. For example: Poodle mixes are generally good for people with allergies and they are intelligent. That is why all the hype around the doodle breeds. But they can have a lot of health issues. Beagles and Siberian Huskies are bayers and talkers. Very mouthy and loud. Wonderful dogs but make for bad relationships with humans. Golden Retrievers are so sweet but shed like crazy. There are some home insurance companies that will drop you if you have a purebred or mix of certain breeds, so make sure you ask your insurance company what breeds are on the list. If you don't and your dog attacks someone, it may not be covered and you will have to pay for the lawsuit out of pocket. And while we are on the topic of insurance, pet insurance is a good idea. Yes, you pay into it, but major things can go wrong, even with a young dog. It's peace of mind that if something happens, you won't have to make the tough decision between a $6,000 surgery that is covered by insurance, or putting your dog down. And for heaven's sake, keep the puppy away from Zach's shoe collection.
While a puppy is a huge undertaking, we got a puppy 3 years ago and have never ever once regretted it. We adore our dog and since we don’t have kids yet, he is our baby!!! Take the time to train them right and you will never look back 😊
I am one of your older subscribers, but it is funny how we also bought a house last year and now we have dog fever. It has been years since we have been pet owners and now that we are settled in our home, we really want a dog again. We are just searching for the right one. Don’t worry about what others think. It is your life. I totally understand wanting Zach fully on board as it is his life as well, but no one else matters when it comes to something like this. Hope you find/found the right puppy for you!
Hello Clancy!! I am currently having my coffee and watching your video 🎉 my opinion (although NO ONE asked lol) is that you won’t regret having a dog, I have 2 elder yorkies and 1 rescued dog, and they have brought me so much joy, companionship as well as patience, etc. THE ONLY issue is who takes care of them if I go on vacation, which if you have family close to you shouldn’t be a problem. Anyways, love u 😘 byeee
I think it’s a great idea , I’m actually so excited for your new beginnings with a puppy . Animals are so beautiful!! They add to your family . After marriage, buying a home , traveling . It’s Purrrfect. Please vlog it !!!
I personally think you are in a great stage of life for getting a puppy if y'all want one. You work from home at the moment so that would be a great time to train it
Getting my dog was the best decision of my life! He is a ton of responsibility and work but he is worth ALL OF IT! He brings so much joy into our lives and is so fun! I don’t have any kids so having our dog gives me something to do and something to take care of! It is very challenging in the beginning but it gets easier quickly. You just have to be patient and make sure you bond with them ❤️ Don’t let anyone talk you out of it if you truly feel it on your heart. You guys will be the ones taking care of it so it is your decision! Goodluck 🤍
Lol Clancy I feel like you go through everything I go through, just a few months delayed 😂 my husband and I at the beginning of marriage decided that we would wait to get a pet until after we had kids, but for whatever reason, I got puppy fever too and started to want something/somebody to take care of. So I explained that to him, and at first he said no, but then he slowly warmed up to the idea. And now we have a 16 week puppy at home!! She’s definitely a lot of work (as she is a puppy lol) but she adds a spark and liveliness to our fam that I couldn’t imagine us living without now. Good luck to y’all if you do end up getting the puppy!!
I am so excited for you - my husband always say no before but when they have them in their face it's always a yes lol get the baby into your life!! you will love to watch him blossom as a doggie daddy
he's so sweet even when ya'll are bickering/banter lol "ya buy me skipping shoes, I love to skip - watch your head"

Yes! Functional medicine all the way!
This is a great advice! Thank you
And she could try a heavy metal detox. I use Zeolite powder. I’ve been taking it for over a year and the difference is very significant.
@@sarahbeackley4134Yaaas!!! Zeoboost is a good brand. W that did you notice the most?
Pets are such a blessing. Just remember when you mention having more of those day trips, there's a lot more coordinating with others and time management involved there.

Pretty sure the dog can go with though

Serious question: is Zach okay? I can't remember the last time he didn't look or act pissed off.
I think its just his sarcastic sense of humor
not a camera guy I think... I hope!
lets not also forget he has his unresolved pain still unfortunately
I feel bad for Clancy sometimes...
He’s so condescending it sometimes makes me stop watching.
To me it's not the day to day responsibility with the dog that will be difficult but those times you want to go on vacation. You just said you want to go on more mini trips. Do you have someone that will watch the dog? If so go for it but if not that's something you really need to consider.
Neal! :)
Thank you so much!!!! This comment is so helpful. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience 💞
Yes puppy blues are a thing! But once it’s over… 🥹🥹🥹❤️❤️❤️
@@saucetour literally 🥲 I miss her being so small
I have a golden too! Just turned four 😭 the first two weeks I sobbed and thought I made a mistake (first dog I’ve had) but it truly gets better and everything is a phase. She’s the best and sooo well trained!
Yes, I was literally EXHAUSTED the week we got our puppy. It was straight up flashbacks to my kids being babies. It only took a couple weeks to adjust though and now we just love her so much. She is 7 months.
Ok I have a video request. Please ask Zac to give us a shoe haul lol
Omg yessss
Yes!! We need this.
Its to funny when Clancy teases him about how many shoes he has lol
I’m with Zac with the lunch time . I’m usually thinking of lunch at 11, but wait until 12.
my husband and i went through something similar in regards to the dog situation. i have never ever been a dog person, despite growing up with dogs. have never desired to be a dog mom. never once budged when my husband brought up getting a dog. well i went on a girls trip to mexico (against his wishes) so in return he got a puppy that i came home to... it took a solid year, but i fell in love with her and am now a proud dog mom :) it is and has been a huge responsibility, but it has definitely prepared us for parenthood!
I love this!!! Thank you! ❤️
Puppies are so exciting! My husband was the same way when we got married. He was unsure about getting a dog but as soon as we got ours, he instantly fell in love and they’re best friends (and workout buddies now 🤭) excited for you both and love your honesty. 🩷
Yay! A Clancy vid. ♡ The highlight of my Sat morning. Perfect timing as I enjoy my potato/soyrizo breakfast burrito!
Aww! 🥹 thank you!! 💞
This is why I love the word intentional instead of something like hard 75. You are planning to be more intentional about alcohol. I would never do dry January because I have no reason not to enjoy a glass of wine or a bourbon tasting on a date night or GNO once a month.
Why would you be embarrassed to walk around with luggage?
ADOPT THE DOG!!! You guys have the perfect set up, you work from home, and you have such a huge heart with lots of love to give. You'd be a perfect rescue mama!! And since Neil lives near you, he can watch the dog when you need to go out of town ;)
Get the dog! Always, get the dog! Best decision you’ll ever make. We have two and they are the light of our lives. Can’t imagine life without them.
That’s awesome!! Thank you! ❤️
Yay for the potential of the dog!!! Once you have them you can’t imagine a life without them!!!
You asked,
Hi Clancy, my wife and I are big fans! Heard you mentioned Zach likes to buy shoes, would love to see his shoe collection!
I'm so glad you're looking to adopt and not shop - yay to puppy love!
Trail shoes are my favorite. They have the best traction.
you look adorable in that hat, Clancy! ❤
There’s nothing like having a loyal companion.
oh if you got the puppy lol id love to know what couch cushions you get to protect your couch lol
I rescued dogs. They’re the best dogs I’ve ever had. The youngest was a puppy mill puppy, and was abused. They’re both living their best life and I couldn’t be happier!
Thank you for rescuing ❤️
@@ClancyBurkeXcan’t wait to see if you got a puppy 🐶 ❤
Omg, Portillos!! I was excited when they brought it to my area🎉
Definitely do it Clancy it will be the best thing you every did and they will become part of your family so fast!!
See the puppies and you both will know whether you are ready to adopt a puppy or an older dog. Pets enrich us and are our responsibility so you both will know once you go see them. ❤
Guys wake up new Clancy vlog just dropped🥰
😂❤️
Happy Saturday Clancy and Zac!!! I love your vlogs so much and always look so forward to it ❤ your videos are truly my favourite!! You and Zac are so funny together 😂
Aww! Thank you so much!!💞🥹
@ClancyBurkeX I also hope you and Zac got the puppy!!!! 🙏🏼🤞🏻💕
I’m a sneakerhead just like Zac so I love seeing his purchases lol
Maybe you and Zac could volunteer at your local shelter for a bit. I know you mentioned in another video that you wanted to volunteer more. That may be a good step for you both on the interest in a pet too.
Yes I love quick little weekend travels. I have enough make up and toiletries that I always keep my makeup big packed and my toiletry bag packed so all I have to do is throw in a little bit of clothes and that’s it. I mean even my chargers I have extra that I keep in a bag so like I said you just grab clothes
I also eat lunch around 1:30-2:00pm. At 11:30, I'm still digesting my breakfast!
I’m so excited for you to get a puppy!! Dogs are the absolute best
@@ClancyBurkeX So happy you have a dog now! I am so happy for you and Zac and am loving your videos- such a good boy! Congrats
Portillos is so good! We have one here in Champaign, IL and my family and I love their burgers and Italian beef!
Omg, here for your dog mom era!!❤🙌🏻
I love Zac showing his sassy side more 😂
Literally sat down to watch your video while I ate lunch… at 2:00 PM 😂
You make so much of your content out of making fun of and trying to humiliate Zac. It’s just annoying.
Clancy…GET THE PUPPY ❤❤❤❤❤
I have a royal poodle and a golden doodle. Both non shedding. Both super smart. Both easy to train. I’ve had dogs my whole entire life. I had dachshunds for over half my life. Puppies can be a lot of work but I’d never ever be without a dog no matter what. There’s ways around vacays, day trips etc. but mine go almost everywhere with me. And I have an RV because of them😂. Best of luck.
Shoes are to live for. Shoes for every activity and outfit. Lunch is whenever I feel like it. Happy day
How exciting If you guys get a puppy! Can’t wait to see the puppy vlogs! 🎉❤🐶
Thank you for getting a rescue. All of mine are and they are the best. Mine have all been easy but all lab mixes so big dogs. Many don’t want big dogs but they are easier to train. I am so excited and feel we will see a puppy in your home soon!

..I'm sorry but the Rugrats Colored windbreaker will always be my fav!!!
Good luck!
Happy Saturday, Clancy! I always look forward to your uploads. I be liking the video before I even watch it 😂
Aww thank you!!🥰❤️
Getting my dog was the best decision of my life.
Here's why:
This was a planned event and the schedule should have been agreed on in advance and both of your actions should reflect this.
Great points and his name is Zac not Josh.
@@marykoufalis7666 Thank you! I kept thinking Jake. I will change it.

Ask about switching to metformin extended release, it's so much more gentle.

Goodluck 🤍

Portillo's is so good! It's a Chicago staple.
Why did I become emotional when I heard that you were approved? So happy for you. Walter can have a little buddy when he visits!
