Hello, i have a question about the fan orientation. I also have this case and want the best airflow for it. But can you explain to me why you put the other two fans at the back of the AIO cooler? is it to blow cool air over the radiator? and could you explain to me why you did that :) I now have 3 fans at the bottom as intake, the two as the exhaust of the radiator (at the same place as you), and one exhaust at the back en one on top. But my temps for CPU and GPU are good, under load the GPU never hits >65c, and the CPU never above >75c. I do know it's causing a negative airflow, so would you recommend I change the layout?
@@Dede23j hey, I'm not sure if my comment will help (I'm an extreme novelist) but I believe what he did with the radiator is a "push/pull" layout? Where one set of fans pushes air into the second set of (pulling) fans. At least as far as I know, I could be wrong.
Man....this is honestly the best build I've seen so far in this case, the fan utilization is just on point, fresh air guaranteed for the CPU's AIO and for the GPU. First time I see a push/pull configuration like that on this case and it makes 100% sense. Really liked this video.

I've been looking at 011 Mini builds to see how it looks with a mini ITX board and everybody seems to ONLY be building with a regular ATX motherboard lol but it's still fun to watch since I'm trying to decide if I do like the case or not. I'm still a little undecided since I do have a fascination with SFFPC builds and my last four have been SFFPCs but man - it's insane seeing this build and how easy it is in this case. I don't think you intended for your video to be a "How to Build a Gaming PC" type video but these shots were so clear, nothing was obstructed, everything was visible, everything was just so well done I hope some first time builders come across your video cause this is good stuff :)
Nice! I just did a very similar build, but I went with a vertical gpu mount 'cause I got tired of looking at the radiator fins on the ftw3. I gotta say that this anti-sag solution is a damn sight cheaper tho' :D

Ryzen 5950x, ASUS X570 Prime Pro, Samsung 1 TB 980 M.2 x 2 and 500 GB 860 EVO SSD x 1, XFX 6900 XT OC Black Edition, 4x 8gb T-Force 3600 ARGB Xtreem, Lian Li White 240 AIO, 24 and 8 pin Lian Li Strimer Plus, and 9 Lian Li Uni SL 120 fans (3 top, 3 bottom, 2 AIO, 1 rear). So nervous, LOL.

I got this case last week and i made it work for now, but i'm struggeling with the best fan setup. atm i have the AIO also at the back with just the 2 intakes on the inside of the case, and some intakes on the bottom and a exaust at the back. More fans are to come.

This is very similar to the computer I just built except I used LianLi Fans, I love the ability to snap fans together and only use one cable for sets of fans.
What amazing build the attention to detail the production of the video is amazing well done ! The only thing I would change was probably go for a Ryzen instead but that's my personal choice! Nice video
Very clean build, not sure if you have pulled it off. But the EVGA 3070 ftw3 on each of the fans also have protective stickers that you need to pull off as well.
Beautiful, who would have thought that computer assembly can be raised to the rank of art :) I build my computers looking primarily at performance / price ... but I must change my approach a bit :)
Top of the AIO hoses should be lower than the pump if you are going to side mount it. You are introducing air bubbles are the top of the hose and the radiator. You are starving the pump by doing that. Gamer Nexus has a good video on AIO orientations.
Having it on top is perfectly fine as long as the pump itself is lower. Sure, it might make a bit more noise but it's still going to be fine. Watch JayzTwoCents video on it
So I just finished building in the same case and the only problem I encountered is with Corsair's iCue software not detecting neither of the RGB hubs. The Commander pro is recognised and I can control the fan speed etc without a problem, the only issue is that I cant change the lighting effect of the rgb since iCue does not detect the rgb hubs. At 10:40 you plug the cable to the LED hub and apparently mine is a newer version of the RGB hub and it plugs in the USB header of the Commander pro instead. I want to ask, did iCue detect your rgb hubs and were you able to control the lighting effects? I tried everything like reinstalling iCue, swapping the usb header cables and even rewiring all the rgb cables in perfect order and nothing worked for me so I'm guessing the only solution is to buy 2 of the older rgb hubs that connect to the LED header instead :/
should have went with the Lian Li fans ... much easier cable management and they are some top notch quality fans... You can have 4 fans all come off 2 wires for rgb and fan power.. up to 16 fans off one hub.
Please tell me please, based on the video can you tell how the output air flow and input air flow works here. Which fans are blowing in and which are blowing out?
I hear ya. I already had my Windows install on the regular 970 Evo, then I bought the Evo Plus later for a good deal. So that's why the Evo Plus is in the bottom slot.
Did you need a second RGB hub? You can use your AIO to control rpm and RGB, then use one RGB hub to control the 6 rest and commmander pro to control the 6 rest for rpm, correct me if I'm wrong EDIT: JUST realised your not using a corsair aio
Yeah it does look chaotic, but you might wanna suggest the lian li uni fans. They interlock with one another side by side. Sorta like in series and you just gotta plug in the first fan.
wouldnt it be bad if the rad was at the bottom and pump was above it? for the air would get into the pump? i was thinking intake on the AIO for fresh cool air for the AIO/CPU(keeping it where you put it) and then intake at the bottom for cool air for your GPU then just exhaust out back and top. RIGHT?
@@chunkacole033 The top of the radiator is higher than the pump so air would be in the rad at the highest point. And yes intake would be better for the AIO on the side
Because the tubes are at the top of the radiator, not the bottom. Steve from Gamers Nexus said they should come out of the bottom of the radiator in his infamous AIO video.
Could you please provide an explanation for the fan connections. I see you had each individual cable labelled. Could you explain what connects into what and how you get it working with the 3 fan hubs?
The big fan hub is the Corsair Commander Pro. The 2 smaller hubs are Lighting Node Pro's. The 4-pin fan connectors connect to the Commander Pro. The fan RGB connectors connect to the Lighting Node Pro's. I labeled the cables so I knew which fan they were. I wanted them connected in a certain order so that lighting effects would look good.

Just building the XL at the moment.....really looking at a mini for my backup system tho, the fan configuration in this vid is weird tho.
I've watched countless PC builds and this is the first one that shows how to cable manage a case full of RGB fans.

The cleanest build I've seen so far using this Lian Li Dynamic Mini, specially the cable management.

This is very similar to the computer I just built except I used LianLi Fans, I love the ability to snap fans together and only use one cable for sets of fans.
I also used a mATX board and moved the board mount down into 5 slot mode.

Side note: Corsair definitely needs to unify the fan connector to one and make the commander pro the only thing to control everything.
yea wires everywhere with that commander sht. doing the math you're better off going w lian li al120 chained (lian li turns out to be cheaper)

nice build BUT you need cable comes for the 24 pin. I also would have put the evo plus on the top m.2 slot
