As a fourteener lover and class 1 and 2 hiker, I love your videos. Right on point, illustrative and totally informative. You don't try to be funny, which is great. Your videos are so interesting and compelling. Love them.
Cheers, appreciate the kind words and glad you enjoy the vids! Many, many more to come.
@@TheVirtualSherpa Beyond awesome! CFI should hire you!
Your finger is spot on when you video! Great shots, thank you
I would love to go to Colorado one day
I can hear you struggling to breath up there haha. I just did this hike and could barely do it, amazing though.
Please note the date of when we hiked this. If you are heading there soon, it will not look like this (snow-wise) for several weeks.
Too funny...I live not far from these trails and had never heard of them. Saw a picture of Island and Ice Lakes, in a magazine, just yesterday...searched on youtube, and that is how I found your channel. Very informative, thanks so much. On my to do list next year, along with Paris Canyon...(again)...and maybe Dark Canyon..Both in Utah...
Love when that happens, always sick to find local gems. Check out columbine lake too - equally as beautiful and less well known. I haven’t hiked much in Utah but dying to get back out there and explore some more canyons. we did the professor creek and Mary Jane canyon a few years back and loved it - video on my channel.
Great vid and the corresponding webpage is too. I put it on my 2020 list. Thanks man.
Dude, i love all your outdoor adventures. Come to socal sometime, we may not have Mountains as beautiful as CO, but we got a handful of 10,000 + peaks that would make you think you’re not in Southern California.
TVinmyEye my two sisters live in SoCal so next time I get out there, hopefully I can snag a quick hike as well. Thanks for the love though!
Count me in! I usually go all the wow up to NorCal for the altitude and great hikes! SoCal doesn’t have much which is a bummer:/
Blake Richard we definitely do have a pretty decent selection down here. I guarantee if you hike Mount San Jacinto (10,834 ft) and Mount San Gorgonio (11,500 Ft) you won’t be disappointed.
Based on recent reports, the upper basin is still under 3-6 ft of snow, and there is avalanche debris in various spots along the trail. I believe the low snow year last year also left Island lake very shallow and not as blue. That will change this year!
Amazing video !! Wanna know how’s it like compare to The Incline in Manitou spring.
Similar in the sense that there is elevation gain pretty constantly, but not as steep for the most part. However, you are at a much higher elevation than the incline so breathing and heartrate may be similar.
@@TheVirtualSherpa Wow! Gotta go to Ice lake one day. Thank you :)
I want to do both😍 the walk to the Delicate Arch👍 And the Dark Angel(?)
I think columbine lake has the same color almost as ice lake
Believe so - haven’t hiked that one yet but it’s been on my list for a while
