NO SUBSTITUTES: For a car that was basically unchanged for 13 model years, how has no one made a replacement headlight for the 370Z with some unique style to it? Morimoto finally stepped up, and we think it was worth the wait: these are badass!

PERFORMANCE: We've always been blown away by the fact that the other brands don't even consider how well their headlights perform on the road at night. Most often, they're a downgrade compared to even a standard halogen setup, and that's a shame. The good news is that Morimoto's XB LED headlights produce a well-defined beam pattern with a great amount of width, intensity, and proper distribution of light. DOT APPROVED: Make no mistake, these will produce a much different [better] result than slapping some LED replacement bulbs into stock housings. SEQUENTIAL LED DRL: Game Changer! Their LED daytime running light is powered by Osram 5000K LEDs and is insanely bright, easily visible during the day. A separate optic that's dedicated to the turn signal function uses amber LED's to produce a full sequential turn signal. While that feature will cause others to mistake your Z for an Audi; for those who are a bit more traditional they can also be setup to run as solid on/off style signals too.

Just installed mine on a 370z now I can see the road extremely bright yet legal looks a little better than the oem highly recommended.

Morimoto needs to focus on the after market headlight housing scene some more. I've purchased their brand quite a few times and they do make quality stuff. Now, if someone would tell them to make some LED headlight housings like the ones in the video for my 2009 tsx and my 2011 Honda Cr-Z... (Hint, hint) I'd buy them .
They are putting out a ton of new models this year!
@@RetrofitSource I've been sold on their brand for years after just doing a low cost retrofit on my moneypit wrx a long time ago. Nice to see something for the 370z as the stock chrome look headlights really date the car. Mine are 7 years old and in perfect condition since it's been garaged since day one, so hoping to sell them to recover some of the cost when upgrading. Nice work Morimoto!!!

These are only white DRL and amber for the turn signal, sorry!

No plans to do a RHD I guess ? I know the lights have lateral and vertical adjustments but doubt it would be enough to take hazard of other RHD cars on coming
@@V6BOOSST Torqen have them. Half the people on the road have fake xenon lights with illegal glare lol
@@blademanx yes, at the time I commented Torqen had not got a deal sorted for RHD, since then I've ordered and fitted mine and I've ordered the new matching rears as well, just waiting on delivery of those in a few weeks 😀
I want these for my 370z, but am weary about the fact that there are no reviews on any of the websites that sell them.
These are still very new headlights, once more people start receiving them, you should see review start coming through. The first shipment of these only contained 50 sets, so when the 2nd shipment comes in, there will likely be more reviews.

We have heard that it may be in the works, no ETA whatsoever yet, but they should be coming!👍
I can't lie, my headlights look like the "after" when it comes to light projection... but these look better than OEM and have sequential turns which is cool. Just wish it didn't cost $1,500! The stock headlights look kinda ugly except for the Newer Nismos which I believe have blacked out housings.
These headlights sure do blow us away, Morimoto sure did us right with them! They are actually only $1275.00 on the website, and unfortunately you just missed our 10% off labor day sale. Black Friday is right around the corner, so if you are looking to get a pair on discount I would recommend waiting until then!

those LED's seem to be putting out less light,not much on the carpet compared to stock.Good effort though
Thanks for watching! From our lux testing, the entire beam pattern was significantly brighter than the OEM HID set up.

How do you disable the landing strip?
If you are referring to the DRL strip, those are designed to be on when you have the vehicle turned on, so there is technically no way to turn them completely off. If you have any more questions, shoot us an email at Support@TheRetrofitSource.com
@@RetrofitSource No, the landing strip on the headlight. There are lights on the corner or the headlight that lights up for turn signals and when the headlight is on. I would like to disable it when the headlight is on.
Unfortunately we do not have any information on that, as that is not how the headlights are designed. With that said, although it will void the warranty we have already had people modifying those headlights, and you are more than welcome to try if you would like!
no highbeam?
Not sure why the high beam wasn't shown in this video, but the high beam is significantly better than the OEM HID high beams.
I just installed these and can't for the life of me figure out where to run the wiring for the day time running light. Any one have any recommendations?

We're not sure, unfortunately as this was a customers car.
Its a Vicrez body kit with wide body fenders.
They look amazing but 1500$ is a lot. I've heard that they are not that much brighter than the OEM. In your video, it didn't look that much brighter either. I with they were not so expensive. I get it. You get what you pay for
They are definitely brighter than OEM, 4 LED projectors versus halogen is a huge difference!
Do they come with the ballasts?
They sure do!
