I hosted for many years at an upscale steakhouse. Would annoy me when someone without a reservation would show up, I'd tell them an hour wait, they'd say "there's an empty table over there". My response, "okay, as long as you're fine with giving away your table next time you have a reservation to someone without one " . One day, the owner of the Hotel came for dinner, I did not know who he was and since he had no reservation, I asked him and his guests to wait at the bar, and told him we would get them as soon as a table would be free. My colleagues freaked out, telling me I just made a huge mistake. I was told later that the owner appreciated being treated like everyone. He saw how the clients were treated and liked it! Conclusion : He was a great guy who did not feel entitled... not like some tennis player we know... 😊

Wow! Why doesn't she make a reservation like everyone else? When we went to the Olympic games in Atlanta, we even had to book our hotel 2 years in advance (and even then we were in a lottery). The hotel was an hour away from the venue, but we never complained. (Oh , forgot I'm not rich and famous.)😅

When I was 19, I worked at a hotel restaurant in Lake Louise. One day, the owner of the Hotel came for dinner, I did not know who he was and since he had no reservation, I asked him and his guests to wait at the bar, and told him we would get them as soon as a table would be free.
My colleagues freaked out, telling me I just made a huge mistake.
I was told later that the owner appreciated being treated like everyone. He saw how the clients were treated and liked it!
Conclusion : He was a great guy who did not feel entitled... not like some tennis player we know... 😊

Wow! Why doesn't she make a reservation like everyone else? When we went to the Olympic games in Atlanta, we even had to book our hotel 2 years in advance (and even then we were in a lottery). The hotel was an hour away from the venue, but we never complained. (Oh , forgot I'm not rich and famous.)😅
She is totally ridiculous and entitled. Your fault for not making a reservation when you arrived in France. You don't walk in especially a high end restaurant with your children, and expect to be seated and then try to smear them in social media.
