This is great Robert, thanks for posting this, it's vid i've been waiting for! I have an ETS light and non start on my 2000 V70 2.4 NA. I have an ETM which i sent off to a specialist have checked and it came back good so i'll check the software re-test with VIDA (i didn't realise this was possible) and i'll check my fuses and voltage too....I was almost about to give up on the car!

The next time you're out near Seattle, I'll give you a bucket full of ETMs that I have. I have no way to test them or verify function...but maybe you can get something for them!

Enjoyed the video. I believe there was a recall on the ETMs with a white label on them in the early 2000s. They were replaced with an updated one with a yellow label over here in Europe. Not sure if that happened in the US also.
same yellow ones a recall but 20+ yrs of use they are all on their last legs and most people will junk a car need 1K or more in " PARTS" thats how we all get with inflation that $1,000 volvo in 2023

nooooo they are just waiting for you to go into the Walmart's come out and YUP its dead for NO REASON ...now try that on a 850 or 1998 S or V 70 nope 25 yrs later them throttle bodies are still going strong no wear out just plug and play no crazy software just 4 bolts DONE !

no not correct...ETMS are just waiting and for no reason to stop working ..no signs just works and out of the clear blue calling a friend or tow truck ..if i were to own 1 id look for a 1998 first but if i were to own a 1999-2001 id keep a spare etm with me in the trunk... i keep 2 in my s60 as the same went from working turned it off went into a store and started it back up into limp mode 20mph tops ride home !!! no signs /no warnings just DOA
