    I had a miracle happen I choose to believe. I was in the worst place of my life, out of ideas, feeling like killing myself, almost did it. Instead tho I got on my knees and prayed to God to take this life, because I can’t do it anymore. It was almost immediate the fog lifted, my eyes opened and things have changed. Just that fast. For this miracle I am in great debt for the grace of God, who has turned things around in an instant. I pray I never take it back. God bless you all!

      Thank you guys so much. She's been home just over a month. It's been some journey. I've had to face places in me, that I didn't know still needed facing. But through strength and grace. I told God, bring her home an I'll help her every step of the way. Wish you all nothing but the best

    I'm so thrilled to have found these talks on youtube. I got sober in 1977 in southern California.. the heart of some of best meetings on the planet. I was so lucky to experience 1000s of meetings, so much laughter and healing. I wish you all peace and healing. These speakers and meetings are few and far between these days.

    The true power of engaging and living the steps is not mere sobriety from a substance but complete self transformation so that the problem no longer exists. Peace is discovered to be one’s true nature and therefore we stop chasing and seeking things for our ultimate fulfilment. This man shares the true import of the steps in a way that few are willing to take. And largely the issue is one of humility. People want to hand some things over to god but not their whole life so they live with a mediocre sobriety and varying levels of discontent. But we are dancing with relapse if we do because if our defence is weak because we aren’t willing to practice to the full extent then we may just end up treating the irritable restless and discontented condition in the old familiar ways, as many do. This is the reason for relapse, not because the steps don’t work but people aren’t working them to the full effect. And the real problem is the ideas we have of ourselves that we identify with that drive our lives and we most acutely feel in resentment and fear, not our true self, which is empty peaceful being. ❤️🙏🏻

      Exactly, my first sponsor told me, "If you can't let go and let God, just let go. And it worked. Things kept getting better, which led me to ask, "Since I'm not doing it, who is doing it?" I choose to call that unknown whatever, God. It's a convenient shorthand way to name that unknown whatever.

    I'm just passed 3 months Sober. I I do attend AA meetings I do listen to podcasts and speakers online. I do have deep trust issues I know this and I know most people do I just have a difficult time connecting to people and sometimes the ones that come up to me are ones that shouldn't be going up to a newcomer if you know what I mean. If anybody has any suggestions I would be very grateful thank you Happy New Year to all and be safe

      @robynmitchell9563 ปีที่แล้ว

      I Rise, I've been sober, happy & free in AA for 33 years, the message in everything you've been doing is pointing to seeking a Power that is within and all around you. The Big Book tells the story of how the first members went about that seeking, once they accepted their ideas - about alcohol, staying sober & life itself - didn't work. Chapters 5-7 describe how they sought that Power through doing the steps. I wanted to be free, so I did what they said they did. Simple, not easy. I too, had trust issues, the main person I kept trusting & who kept letting me down, was me - in every situation, I made decisions, even if I was 'people pleasing' I made those decisions & inevitably ended up feeling misunderstood, betrayed, a failure, etc. Go to a Big Book meeting, face to face or online & ask someone to show you how they practice the steps through the Book. Try it for a month..

      When someone shares that you identify with, go up to them and strike up a convo like " hey, I really identified with your share..." even better if it is followed by "are you available to sponsor?" :) Hopefully you're 8 mo now

    I enjoy Sandy Beaches talks but when he says that no moment is better than this one, he is dead wrong on that as far as I'm concerned. Have you ever had your brains and body fried from going off psych drugs? Have you ever been in extreme, severe physical and mental torture 24/7 for several years? Ya, you might not agree then that each moment is as good as the next. Thank God for all the Grace and my healing and that I'm not in that horror show anymore and dear God, please pour your loving Grace on those going thru it right now. Amen
