Iam sure he will take it off he is to scared to run it. I had one on my skyline for 5 years and never got into any trouble. Even when the cops went over my car they didn’t even notice it.
Matty Q I was literally just thinking if this today, a screamer sounds nuts but you can get in trouble for it. If you route it towards the exhaust in a place they can’t see would they bother looking?

Keep the screamer bro, as long as you don’t thrash it 24/7 which it seems you don’t you’ll be sweet, i daily drive my turbo with a screamer and a dark as fuck tint, quiet at idle and when cruising and i baby my car most of the time i get left alone

Should have gone the 6466. I had the 6235, the 6466 just pulls and pulls, its scary even on sticky 285s.

Are you going to be doing oil pump gears and a atomic timing kit for piece of mind?
I would I just had my barra bulit for 1000hp: rods , pistons , oil pump w/billet case , timing chain , springs
I had screamer on mine, takes away turbo sound and you get over it after about a month of driving. But if you decide later on to plumb it back to it exhaust you will need a retune.
Especially with the battery relocation , without external gate the turbos sound amazing. And the cops /EPA also will sound better
Last time I took off my turbo I took the whole manifold off too. How'd he get to the manifold to turbo bolts? There's stuff all room. I'm guessing a long extension or something?

@@freezerlad4709 I've heard of others using a grinded down modified spanner. I didn't know crows foot spanners were a thing I'll have to grab a set
Trade secrets... but can confirm it was not done from up top with a spanner... but yes a long extension may have been used ;)

Can someone explain what the gate does does it just bypass the turbo air when u release the throttle?
It controls the boost pressure
Air that gets sucked into the turbo get released by the bov from between turbo and throttle body when throttle body shuts, wastegate releases exhaust gases from between turbo and engine to control how much air gets compressed and fed to the engine, basically controls how fast the turbo spins
Makes me want a screamer now 🤔
Is there a reason you keep it auto ? Preference or just haven’t got round to going manual etc ? Honest question definitely not knocking the build, dope either way
Because ZF (auto) on a barra at roll racing type events are faster by far, but of course with a manual you can definitely have more fun 😉👌

Its booked for early June as tuners are booked solid at the moment that's the soonest he can get it in, plus we have are doing valve springs & head studs this weekend, and his exhaust has to be done first also... and his target is 600hp

You could look at getting yours highflowed for around that $1500
Take a new set of plugs with you to the tuner.Actually I went with a cooler set,you might want to ask your tuner.

New turbo and the car is not tuned for it great way to damage you're engine by doing that. They should not have been driving at all
